Big car dealers will always have these problems..My brother was an apprentice at a Ford Centre and told me there was probably 1 guy who knew his stuff properly. The rest were either apprentices or "senior" mechanics who just want to finish a car as quick as possible. Staff Turn over rate was also quick so you will never have the same mechanic working on your car. Although some will bother with some or -little care towards the car being worked on ,at the end of the day it's not their pride and joy. ....as mentioned earlier..luck of the draw.

guys ..I'm going to say spaekers first. The stock speakers on my premium bf aren't that great (don'y know about the FG). I bought some entry level mb front splits with an amp....HUGE difference in quality. I added the sub later on.

$2000 is pretty steep..I was thinking of getting one, but realised that it is not often that I would use it. I have a portable one and have used 4 times last year. If I was frequent user (ie courier) then I may think about it. I think the ASL ones are better and cheaper, but again after a few years the software has to be upgraded at a cost.

The territory bonnet will not fit our ba/bf's. There is a mob called TBA who have specifically designed a fibreglass bonnet with a scoop... I think their price was approx $1200. There was a group buy a while ago either on this forum or another. The one in the pict (as informed by the owner) was using the original steel bonnet and adding/modifying the scoop on to it. Veeery expensive. If the new owber of jmef6 wants to sell his bonnet pls buzz me

I bought some of that 3M carbon fibre wrap and stuck it on my auto surround. Didn't use any extra adhesive solution and it looked great at first...now we've had a few hot days here in Perth and noticed that the vinyl was lifting only around edges. Flat surfaces no prob..so if your're intending to use may I suggest using their adhesive spray.

any updates on the "refund"......going off the topic a bit,,why don't utes come with optional factory fitted sensors. I think the Expensive Daewoo ones do.

I sprayed over my single din stereo bracket with PowerPlus SNB150 Metallic Silver from Super Cheap..and it looks identical to the rest of the fascia.

hey guys..pls excuse if simple question, but other then Ford..where else can I buy the plugs/lugs/screws (I don't know what you call it) for the cargo net I have in my ute.

ok..going to buy a an average set of reputable 5x7 and see how it goes... the replies on this forum seems to favour the rear fill, whereas other "audio feedback" tend to say it's a waste of money. Will keep up to date for those interested.

guys.. I don't know how much extra you pay on the FG, but on my BF the only good thing about the premo sound was the screen..the sound system is not that great. I took out the speakers, amp and installed after market parts and it made a "Huge" diff.

I'm a recently converted Nulon user and love it..for price, value and Aussie made it's hard to beat; however you do need to change every 7000km-ish as I found that they do get blacker/darker at that interval compared to Mobil.

Hey guys..who here leaves their headlights on auto position permanently?..if yes is it bad on the electrics, especially if you are strating your car at night. I was informed to always have your lights off before starting the car. If it's on auto mode the lights will come on once started.

Hey Zap thanks for that I had a feeling they lit up...now here's the problem..would it need a new bulb, even though they do light up when lights are turned on..or is it a connection problem?

can anyone else confirm on the auto shift modes?

While we're on the illumination Guys would someone confirm whether there are any illumination on the drive modes on the auto shift. When I turn my lights on..I do have the driving modes (P, N R) lit up on the auto shift; however when lights are off no colouring/illumination. It does , however come up on the dash. I know I sound paranoid, but there something missing since I had new HU installed

I did my using 3M Di Noc...will need some primer or adhesion promoter for the edgy bits.
