  1. hey chris, yeah im absolutely rapped mate. car runs like a dream finally 4 years in the making. thanks again for all your help I appreciate it, the gear kicks ass. as for the curve in my graph, yeah not too sure what that was but I was having a few boost problems after the first tune so I went over everything and noticed the cousin who helped me install the cooler kit had fit the standard blow off on the wrong way, which caused head aches for my tuner, but Danny from springy took it back and went over all the pipes properly and found that there was a boost leak off the turbo that connects to the cooler pipe back and fixed it all up, retuned her and now she purzzzz thanks to all involved.... now its for heathcote
  2. I have an xtreme extra heavy duty clutch in there, what could that dip mean? what sort of problem may it be?? ill scan a my afr dyno chart so you can see
  3. I need some help reading this, im posting a scan of my dyno chart which shows torque. now if im reading correctly it shows almost 1900nm of torque? is that right or is it something else?
  4. Thanks Robo!! To be honest mate, and this might sound stupid, but I dont know how to tell right from wrong on a dyno chart, all I understand is that number in the top right hand corner which put a smile on my face. Havent read them too much to understand them properly and so I didnt even ask. is it bad?

  6. How are we fellas? Well got the baby back from the tuner today and im pretty damn happy with the result. We managed to acheive 343.3rwkw @ 15psi. Big jump from my last tune at 281rwkw which was before the cooler kit and turbo mod was done. Mods are: 6 Speed gearbox, Seimens 60lbs injectors, walbro 342 pump, 14psi actuator, atomic springs, turbo wastegate mod, Rapid V3.0 cooler system, xtreme 4" dump & cat with standar rear muffler and middle muffler removed. Car drives unreal and am happy with the result, I cant beleive how much power a cooler kit and wastegate mod could actually acheive. Thanks to Danny from Springy Motors for the tuning tuning & to Chris from RapidSystems for all his help and a wicked cooler setup.
  7. yeah ive been told its the actuator working too or could also be in the tune, will get it sorted when it goes for a retune. the wastegate porting im doing is not to fix that issue, that's for overboosting.
  8. hi guys, I havent really had the time to get it sorted out apart from my tuner changing the wastegate duty cycle because of overboosting but that's because I need to get it ported and change flapper. the noise is still there under higher boosts 12 - 16psi but very slightly, not as bad as it used to be. im waiting for rapid v3.0 kit to arrive, once I fit it and get the porting and flapper done ill get it retuned and hopefully sort it out whatever it is. how did you guys first hear it?? was it after mods?
  9. thanks bjc, your exactly right. you have experienced it so you know what I am talking about, and anyone who hops in my car will say the same thing. its not effecting my perfomance so much, well I dont think it is anyway but just the sound of it for me is doing my head in and have to get it rectified. from what I know and from all the turbo's I have heard, they have a great spooling wistle, and it sounds awsome, I miss that sound. I just wish I could pin point what it was that's all. does anyone know how waste gate duty cycle works? and how it is set up

  11. Oh it is fu**ng annoying, it drives me nuts, I cant stand it, all I want to hear is like you said, sweet sweet boost. im just curious as to what is actually making that sound.
  12. hey guys, just curious as to what this noise maybe. recently had car tuned and 14psi actuator fitted, 4inch dump and 3.5" cat. now before the the tune and those 2 mods were fitted, I used to get a great wistle sound coming from the turbo when it was boosting, now im getting a wsh wsh wsh wsh wsh wsh sound as it boosts and have lost my whistle. ive read a few other posts on here and seen that people with the same issue were saying it could be the fact that they havent changed the thier actuator and were running higher boost, mine is brand new. ive checked all my hoses and so far havent found much wrong, ive also heard it could be the actuator trying to control the boost. I miss my whistle spooling sound, any ideas on what it could be?
