  1. I'm looking at getting an SS inductions CAI for my XR6 (they must have forgotten the turbo in mine). Does anyone have any experience with these? What is better the 'Big Mouth' at $415 or the 'Growler' at $500? both these prices include filters. I'm after improved fuel economy and increase in power. Is one better than the other, for that money I want to notice some improvement. Cheers,

I found this site when looking for fuel economy figures for XR6 turbos Vs NAs. Those figures ended up being an important factor into what I bought. This site seems to mentioned a lot through various other sites I have looked at also though.
  3. Take off the tow bar if it has one. Any one know how much those things weigh?
  4. Quick question about the power windows in my car, and from what I have seen, Falcon power windows in general. Why are they so clunky, sticky and dodgy? When my windows are wet it sounds like the motor is really struggling to pull the window down/up. The windows slides much slower than it does when its dry, sometimes it looks as if it is goign to stop. Also the passanger window seems to slip forwards in the first few inches of movement I.e. it is being pulled down evenly. Any ideas for fixes for this problem, and more to the point, why are all the falcons I have been in like this?

The second set of tail lights look ok. Most after market tail lights these days seem to look pretty tacky and cheap. I'd agree with the others and say keep the stock ones.
  6. Yeah I was wondering what they were like in wet weather. Do they leak a lot? Also are they fairly secure? I heard with the Quig ones that if the motor breaks down when it is shut then you have to take to it with an angle grinder cause there is no other way to open to tray.
  7. I know this may be a silly question, but the plastic screws that hold the top grill in place (you can see them when you pop the bonnet), do they actually unscrew, or are they those press through clips that expand once pressed on? I only ask because I want to remove the upper grill and put mesh there and when I tried to unscrew what I thought were screws, they just spun around and the plastic eventually rounded out.
  8. On the topic of stripes, I saw an XR6T with an XR8 bonnett. Where it usuallys says BOSS 260 on some, it said XR6 Turbo, or somthing liek that. Is that a custom job, or can you buy them from the factory like that? The blue against the white looks good by the way!
  9. Take it off! Smoother and cleaner is always better!! If you can afford to get the hole filled then do it. Any one know if those toneau hole plugs will fit the centering hole for the badge? May be an easy way to fill the hole temporarily.
  10. Have you looked at the 'roller covers' that are available from Blueys ute world, and also from Quig? The Blueys ones are cheaper $2280, but can't be colour coded. The Quig ones are $3500, but can be colour coded to the car, and have an electric motor to open and shut it. I'll be going for the blueys one as the price is more reasonable. Any way, something to think about. Any one heard any bad reviews of these covers?
