  1. shock has an online shop where he used to sell em but I tried getting one off him a while ago but they were no longer available... I had to settle with tthe ford one, I only get the alternator whine when the headlights or climate control is on
  2. gauges down the a pillar are illegal so I didn't want to go down that path
  3. I'm in the same boat. I pi**ed off the clock and replaced it with some gauges and now it gets really anoying not knowing the time... I've been searching for a decent looking digital clock I can mount somewhere near the tisue box but all I find are cheap dodgy lookin ones that would just cheapin the interior
  4. If I remember right the strength of a fields is measured in Tesla's, cant remember much more then that though... Have a walk around the backyard with a compass... it should give you an idea of the strength of the field compared to the natural magnetic field of earth (judging by how much the needle fluctuates) magnetic fields aren't really my thing but from what I can remember this should work... If the needle doesn't move much then it wont be that much stronger then earths or if it moves heaps then you know it is. this wont really give you much other then piece of mind because there is'nt any evidence that states what effect a certain strength field has on a person. maybe there is a more scientific person on here that can shed abit of light on the topic....
  5. it would look pretty good if done right IMO... Alot of filler would be needed to blend it into the bonnet so it doest look like an afterthought stuck on with double sided tape, and it would definitly need to be painted to match the bonnet.... it would be alot of work though
  6. itec, are those 19" wheels? how do you go at carparks and up driveways? much scraping??
  7. Thanks xf. Another question though, how do you make the selections? do you just keep a controller in the glovebox?
  8. Do you have a link to a site where I can learn about this XBMC and FTP you speak of??? I wasn't really intending to go down this path but after seeing how neat your system is and how cheap xboxs are now I'm really considering it...
  9. XF, nice setup. what have you done to the xbox to create that interface?? did it need to be chipped? can you hook it up to a pc and change all that kinda stuff?
  10. pop the gear lever surround off, under there are screws that hold those corner wing pieces on, once there outta the way there are another two screws either side of the tissue box holder. remove these and it'll slide out... you dont need to take the side panel off, just need to spend some time feeding the wire thru...
  11. goggles
  12. Yep and I'm only 5mins down the road from it...
  13. Its mine today as well!!
  14. always
  15. very nice... would you need a new tune??? cause that could be a pain having to flash it every time you flick the switch...
  16. Go the first one with red decals on the buldge... second one does look pretty good though
  17. time
  18. Yeah I definitly want to lower it but I don't really wanna be scraping bumpers and chewing cv's (the way I drop the clutch sometimes its bound to happen lol). I'm thinking I mite just drop the back just to level it out and get it sittin flat that way its still practical and it shouldn't look like a monster truck anymore hahaha
  19. Yeah I've got rims and swaybars, so it will be interesting to hear some of their excuses to not fix it... Considering the last time I had a knock they wanted to refuse warenty because they thought the whole engine and driveline had been removed because of an accident... bunch of morons
  20. Looks great mate! So you ended up with those wheels hey? Looks like I need to follow in your footsteps and lower mine... What springs did you end up going with?
  21. Cheers mate! I doubt it would be wear n tear the car has only just clocked over 20,000...
  22. G'day guys. I'm in need of a bit of help. The steering on my BA mk2 is starting to clunk. It's only one clunk and it is pretty noticable, it only happens at slow speed and when I'm moving to full lock (generally when I reverse out of my driveway). I've done a search and only found info about shuddering, nothing I've found relates to just one clunk at slow speeds and tight turns. I've recently upgraded the swaybars but the cluck was there before I did this but it has been getting worse. I don't really want ford to find the problem I'd rather find it and tell them exactly what to fix. Previous experiance shows they spend too much time looking for ways to not cover problems under warrenty then they do actually fixin them. I'm gonna get the car back on the ramps and make sure everything is at the right torque and make sure the sway bars aren't the cause before I take it to them. Is there anything else I should be checking out while I'm under there??? Thanks for any help, Luke
