  1. any holes a goal a bad ones just practice...
  2. autometer have one in the cobalt series, d-pic I think its called. donno if it would work on our cars though...
  3. Count me in too... but like some others I'll be peeling off at the drinks break to head back home
  4. Well done. Whats your opinion on the clutch?
  5. I doubt it would be worth the effort. With that stall most of your time will be in the higher revs so by removing them your only going to effect the torque produced at low rpm. There will be no effect higher in the revs because the air can constantly flow thru the shorter path... It could actually disrupt the flow, due to the two different paths the air can travel, in your case there wont be a turbo there to overcome this (just thinking out loud, so this may not be the case) If your serious about it I would suggest getting your hands on the nitto plenum because that uses its own runners rather then the factory ones and they are much shorter - allowing you to get more top end torque (along with a retune of coarse)...
  6. leave the butterflies there unless you plan on sticking a turbo or super charger on it. you will lose alot of torque. By having the butterflies there you basically have two different sets of runners one short and one long. one produces more torque down low the other up high (cant remember but I think longer is better down low???) So if you get rid of the butterflies you now have only 1 set of runners, and can no longer produce the same torque lower in the rev range. This topic has come up a few times and if you search you should be able to find out more info...
  7. Was it a ute?? cause I spotted a green one saturday morning round the corner from there
  8. I'm paying 1800 with just car, only mods are 19" wheels.
  9. Those wheels are getting around, my missus has them in 17"s on a barina and it does look good but in the recent months I've been seeing them more and more on other cars. I dunno what they would look like on a big car like the falcon but they suit the smaller cars.
  10. Saw a red XF wagon the other day with an AU spoiler mounted to the roof!! looked shocking, it wasent even mounted at the very back it was about 75cm in. I'd love to know what the guy was thinking when he decided to mount an almost semi circle spoiler in the middle of his very flat roof...
  11. basically our cars are stiff enough in the front end to not need one... And it would be pretty hard to fit one with the computer and overflow bottle where they are...
  12. Got any other pics of the paint? It looks standard to me in that pic.
  13. doesn't work I had this tsb carried out by ford and had the shoes replaced because they were worn... now the shwosh is worse then every and convieniently my warenty ran out last week...
  14. I've seen the complete engine at a supplier, and it definitly doesn't use the same plastic plenum as the N/A's, as mentioned the comp wheel on the turbo looks to be the same but can't see the exhaust wheel as its under the heat sheilds. I work for one of fords competitors so I dont think that they'd like me peeking under there... I'll try and snap a pic with my phone over lunch but I dont like the chances....
  15. I did and miss aly fixed it up for me. Great customer service! The new one is alot better, I think it was just the cups were abit thin on the old one that's why it warped in the heat. If you havent already conact miss aly.
  16. I've got this problem aswell only its more prominent with the 1st to 2nd. Does anyone have any info on changing the oil in the box and bleeding the clutch, as I would like to try this. I've had a look under there but I cant work out how you would fill the box once you drain it....... and I've never done a clutch bleed so if anyone can let me know what to do would be great.
  17. I was in the velocity sedan, plates LTSTRQ
  18. is that why everyone was blocked? I snuck thro with the amber light and couldn't make the u turn cause it was blocked. I had to turn down that side street, man took me ages to catch up...
  19. looks good.... shame its from the dark side.... is it possible to use the boot made for that nob and fit it to the silver ring? I just think it would look heaps better with the same leather boot rather then the fluffy ford one.
  20. As far as the clunkyness and noise goes I'm with you 100% but as far as shifting goes, I havent got a problem, I can shift from 2-3 just as quick, if not quicker then 1-2. The biggest problem I belive (apart from the noise) is the clutch it is horrid... but I have the xr6t not the f6, I've heard that the f6 clutch is quite good...
  21. Thanks for the offer envy, but I think I'll just deal with no clock, I like the look of the gauges above the icc...
  22. I love to know where bouts in docklands that was taken. I recently got a digital SLR and would like to test it out....
  23. I do like that setup envy-t, looks good.. but I think I would prefer no clock to one of the tweeters being blocked. Did you notice any difference in sound? How did you route the gauge wiring?
