  1. Hi Guys, I seem to be having no luck with my diff at the moment, I just broke the diff bolt for the 3rd time... First time was the typical shagged stock bush and the bolt went with it. I then had the superpro bush fitted with an unbrako bolt, this lasted over a year till my next round of power mods before it snapped taking my diff cover with it. It did give me warning though as it was clunking like hell for a few months prior. So I had a strengthened diff cover fitted, new bolt went in (bush was still good so they re-used) and 2 months later when shifting into second I heard that all too familiar BANG! I was driving like a granny at the time too! There was no warning this time I thought everything was sweet until it happened. I originally thought it just came loose so I tried to tighten the thing but that didn't work. So I dropped the cradle for a look and found the thing was broken again. So my question is what bolt are the guys with heaps of power using? I'm only just on 300kW, granted it is a manual but surely there is something capable of handling that load. I'm really considering fixing it and turning the power down and leaving it, but then I read about other guys well into the 400kw bracket and no problems, has got me buggered... can anyone offer some advice? Cheers.
  2. I had the same problem, it was a loose wheel speed sensor, it wasn't reading properly so the ecu thought the wheel was locked and applied the abs... stupid workshop that replaced my diff bush didn't bother doing the sensor back up, then had the cheek to tell me my breaks were fu*ked
  3. My BOV vents to atmosphere and the flutter is still louder. (currently running low boost tune to save the clutch so there may not be enough pressure to fully open the BOV) 38mm is the standard for most hi performance BOV's not sure if you can get bigger
  4. IMO the problem is due to the 25mm inlet for the BOV on the piping, its just too small to allow all the pressure to vent so alot is still forced back to the turbo, hence the flutter. You need to get a bigger blow off valve (with a 38mm inlet) and get the matching adapter welded to the piping, this will allow more air to exit through the BOV. I haven't done this yet but in my mind it makes sense... please correct me if I'm wrong
  5. Futuris make the ford seats, but it aint gonna help you, they dont sell to the public
  6. Lower RHS of windscreen like everyone else has said. only I hard wired mine into the plug behind the fuse panel, and popped the cord out of the steering column, much neater now and no ugly plug in the console
  7. its your clutch slipping mate, theres nothing wrong with it, its just crap.
  8. its got nothing to do with the material the bonnent is made out of, to be legal the bonnet needs to be ADR complient. To be ADR complient it needs to undergo destructive testing and pass the criteria (expensive and something not alot of aftermarket companies like to do)
  9. ignore that just realised your in brisbane, so nizpro aren't doing the work... my bad
  10. 5-6 grand to replace a valve & spring? are they gold plating your engine too? I would've thought a place like nizpro would be able to diagnose this with out having to remove the engine and strip it...
  11. yeah mate you can't go wrong for $20 I've had mine for about a year now. like 01txr mentioned the only problem is the o-ring can get a bit sticky. I took the logo off aswell but I wasn't careful enough and scratched it abit.
  12. yeah I saw you, man the argents look tuff...
  13. it wont be legal anyway, unless the maker forks out thousands getting these things crash tested... (I am assuming its all fibreglass)
  14. Yeah that's me, finally I've been spotted!
  15. it looks really good. just from a functional point of view, you don't want to be ramming more air under the bonnet... swing the vent 180deg and move em abit further back and I'd buy one
  16. If it really is Greddy go for it... altho I didn't think they made kits for our cars. and 550 sounds abit cheap for greddy... especially for autobarn
  17. Great shots Ghosti. Heres my attempt... didn't want to go too over board... I had to do a print screen to avoid the watermark, where does one "purchase" the serial from?
  18. Sure its NOS??? pretty sure N2O is not flammable...
  19. The bolt should definitly be replaced - mine failed before the bush did. Superpro make a replacement bush but there is a reason why the stock one is soo soft... the driveline clunk is amplified with a decent bush in there. Mines a manual and I treat it hard so I put up with the clunk.
