  3. Looks like you mite end up ripping that cooler pipe off too if you went any lower. Awesome car though looks tuff!!!!
  4. Love that DOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Any pics??? I've never seen any of the colour coded ones.
  6. Hi guys, I'm in the market for a T and I've come across a 05 BA mkII resonably cheap. It doesn't have any extras which I don't really care about anyway. My only preference is that is gotta have a t56 and not be blue (no offence but I see blue xr's everywhere). Well this one fits that criteria only is got abit of km's on it, 88k to be more to the point. I'm just wondering what your opinions would be on this car??? Heres the link if any one wants to have a look... http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/FORD/F...ia/2403329.aspx Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
  7. Nice!!!!!!! I've got a bearded dragon too, had him for a few years now. Say hello to Skorch!!!
  8. mines howitzer85, havent had it hooked up on the net for a while though so its not up to date. don't get a chance to play it much anymore though, been workin hard to get an xr6t.
  9. I thought that a 3" exhaust was actually going backwards as the twin 2 1/4" flows better. Is this true???
  10. What would be a good choice for the 3rd gauge though??? I know boost and oil pressure are a must, and I've heard that the air/fuel is just a glorified disco light. I love the look of the tripod but I cant think of a 3rd practical gauge that's needed.
  11. How do they like mods? cause I dont really want to stay stock for too long...
  12. I don't like your chances of finding another insurance company that will cover you. I'm currently in the process of buying a T and just cars is the only one that I've found that will actually insure me and I'm 22. All the others I've looked into wont touch ya if your under 25. But hopefully some of the other young blokes on here will come along and point you in the rite direction... Have you thought about goen 3rd party? it will be cheaper but a bit risky for a first time driver in an expensive car.
  13. A colder thermostat will open earlier then the stock one allowing the cooling process to start earlier. Lets say the stock thermostat opens at 80* (not sure what they open at this is just for explanation). Then the engine will only start to be cooled at 80* - when the thermostat opens to allow coolant thru the radiator. If the colder one opens at 70* (again don't know the real numbers, just for explanation) then the cooling process will start when the engine is at 70* - which will keep the engine running cooler. The purpose of the engine running cooler is to allow more advanced timing to be made with less risk of detonation This is just my understanding correct me if I am wrong.
  14. I think it looks great if your after looks go for it but keep in mind it wont be as efficient. The part that your gonna cut off acts as a shroud to direct air thru the cooler. If this is gone most of the air will go under the cooler, actually decreasing its efficiency. But it does look different and tuff.
