  1. I have the car back at the exhaust shop today after recently having a redback exhaust system fitted, I am trying to have the droning reduced or eliminated by having a 15" resonator fitted prior to the centre muffler as I am finding it very intrusive when in the 1500-2000 rpm rev range.
  2. dyno sheet states it has more power, but these vehicles are still pretty heavy so with the increase I have seen it has meant it responds better at lighter throttle opening's and has improved the midrange which certainly helps with overtaking.unfortunately I have seen a increase in fuel consumption which has increased to 11.8 avg per 100 klicks after a reset and doing close to 800 kays of driving, prior to my custom tune I had averaged 10.8 lts/100 k's after 95 hrs of drive time.
  3. will do in the new year.
  4. I have booked in today for a set 4490's(pacemakers) metal cat & 2.5" mandrel exhaust.
  5. I did pay $695 through capa...
  6. I appreciate your honest response, but prior to purchasing my xcal3 I spoke to a number of tuning shops and was quoted $1600-$1700 for box & tune.it was around 1k for the box and the rest was taken up in the custom tuning, so no problems there. now after purchasing a xcal3 independent to a tuning shop and running around with a generic tune for the last 6 weeks or so I thought it was time to get a custom tune and now after speaking to the same tuning houses the costs have now suddenly risen to nearly 1k which is ott. kartman are you a melb based tuning shop, if so, can you send me a pm with your contact details. also what gains have you seen when custom tuning my type of vehicle, not so much outright kw's but more about throttle and driving responses. thanks
  7. I do have a xcal3,the thermostat is one of those items that seems to be pushed as a necessity by some(most)tuning houses. I have considered 4490 pacemakers & 2.5" catback system but when quoted nearly 1k for tune & thermostat I nearly fell over.
  8. as the title states, I am interested in getting a custom tune on a stock n/a ford territory rwd-4 speed auto. I would like to know what other people have payed/been quoted for there n/a vehicles. also is it a necessity to change the thermostat as part of the tune. Thanks
  9. quote: The Australian version is 3000AU Every tuner in Australia purchases the devices through Herrod Motorsport, the 3000au cannot be purchased in the USA by anybody: end quote this has been discussed elsewhere and this was the direct response from Herrod.
  10. strapp ford had this one: F6 sedan auto Silhoutte in colour with leather trim, dark argent 19's, reverse camera & fpv carpet mats, sold as a demo $ 58,888 Driveaway. Approx kms 40
  11. STRAPP FORD by any chance.
  12. I thought that may have been the case and just wanted it comfirmed. Thanks
  13. sorry to transgress a little, but I noticed you mentioned the f6x rims are these interchangeable with the rwd territory or are the confined to the awd models only. thanks

    Solar Power

it's something I'm looking into at the moment and the out of pocket expenses is $1490 for a 1kw photovoltaic solar system which includes the installation, govt rebate is $8k and is means tested at 100k. I've placed an expression of interest/application with Rezeko Pty Ltd. you can go on there web site for further information, savings are projected to be around $300 a year using the current feed-in tariffs.
  15. when are you going to update the list.. cheers

  20. I'm in! bank details please? what system is it going to be?
  21. makes complete sense..
  22. so the overboost feature is a increase in psi only and not in revs?
  23. the transmission rumour has been confirmed. there was a problem with the new 5 speed auto where it had trouble dropping back from 5th..
  24. wrong..definately out there...I saw a fpv ute (blue - has there been any other color made) on the western ring most mornings in the last fortnight..
  25. nothing wrong with these...I've done nearly 300k since I bought new in 99...I commute 160klms daily to & from work and have only replaced rear wheel bearings..still on the original brake linings, other than normal routine servicing nothing has failed...3 other people at work also use them for commuting & no-one has encounted the rear main seal leak that someone mentioned earlier. something to consider is the fuel usage which is outstanding as I regulary get in excess of 740klms per tank.
