cost around $800.00.ride is a little firmer,not harsh though.I have had people comment on the ride even though it is lowered.I have to say that it handles very nice,body role is reduced and it dosnt seem to have that slow wallow(is that a word) that bigger cars tend to have.

had mine lowered the day I picked it up! Brad Garlick ford at ryde fitted herrod springs which are progressive wound. no problems,just gotta take it east on speed humps.

I had nitrous fitted to my harley,bottle hanging of the side,always full(or close to it),and never got hassled about it.Ah sweet memories,gets me hard just thinking about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got talking with a highway patrol officer the other day,He was driving an unmarked merc/silver xr6t He wasnt a bad fella for a coppa and went on to explain that they chose the merc/silver cause they wanted to be bland,inconspicuos,be able to mix it with the others till one stepped out of line He also mentioned that he was involved in a high speed pursuit,chasing a phantom XR6T,but couldnt catch it,something to do with being a faster colour or something

a few years ago the government passed a legislation that all new motorcycles sold had to have the head lights hard wired(so they came on with the ignition this was a knee jerk reaction by some politicians and testing and statistics later showed headlights on in the day did nothing to reduce the amount of bike accidents. going to work the other day I happened along a vyss ute-Game on!!!! We rounded a bend on Pennant Hills Rd and to our delight a red light.I just had enough time to stop and put it into first (manual) when I heard him gun it.Damm!! I nailed it,dropped the clutch,looked across to my mate in the passenger seat as we sat there smokin up-even the car behind the ute passed me.Finally got it off the line and caught up to the ute to play again,but that's another story!

I remember when I was a young lad,Mum and Dad and I would drive for what seemed like eternity to get to my grandparents place in the country. Just my opinion;personally I think that to spend 2 or 3 grand on a brake upgrade is a toss.Unless you r going to be doing trackdays and the like,then the standard setup is ok.I drive my car as hard as the next guy(or woman)and the break fade is very minimal,perhaps a set of dba's and some good pads!! Just how week is the manual gearbox?-is it strong as a top loader?Sure the top loader was a notchy b**ch of a thing but mine took every thing I tossed at it in its stride.Like I said just my opinion!!!

It seems them folk down there at GMH have realised something what all us smart xr drivers already know. They are gonna release a new colour in thier series 2 SS ---It looks a little like the best xr colour "PHANTOM" Still looks better on the ford though,wonder if they will release a colour for the old folk-something like mercury silver !!! :D :D :D :D

this is the deal,I like to think I am a little handy;a little adept in the face of adversity;cope with whatever gets thrown at me,but I gotta tell you there is no way I could get my cd's out. picture this: I back the car out of the garage. Open both front doors; Take out my floor mats(to put on the ground so I dont hurt my knees) Wedge my 6'4"-150 kg self upside down between the steering wheel ,front seat and lower door sill and stare blankly for about 15 minutes. Seriously,take it to the dealer they will take the unit out,get some numbers off it,put it back in and call you when the new one arrives. They will then swap the unit over sending your cd's on a trip to Melbourne where they are removed and sent back to u good luck!!!!!
