Its a shame to hear about a company with a generally good reputation - I know a few guys that have used them with good results, maybe they have had a change of staff recently?

As above, you'll have to re-do it... Also, we prefer you to dig up an old thread, better than starting a new one for a topic that has already been started!

Fg F6 28,000Km Missing Bolt From Core To Rear Housing
senna_T replied to phatf6's topic in Turbo Workshop
yes this does happen, no it's not very common on FGs. Not sure if it would be as a result of the exhaust fitment, probably just a case of bad luck... -
not a very common problem on the FG's, but they are a complete hub assembly so you can not re-pack them

BTW, the rule they broke wasn't the fact that they changed the sensor - it was the fact that RBR decided to run a fuel flow correction model of their own thinking rather than the one supplied by the FIA, this is allowed in the rules but only if they are instructed by the FIA stewards to do so. Technicalities are a PITA but they are the rules and people get paid lots of money to know the rules in these sports... Shame it affected our home town hero though! Sound is disappointing compared to the old cars, but like everything new I'm sure we'll get used to it, being at the track there was a noticeable difference in noise from practice to quali and then during the race also. Once they get some good data on fuel usage I'd say they will turn the wick up a bit and we will hear a bit more.

Formerly topic: F1 2014 - Who's Watching? So are there any other big F1 Fans here? I'm off to Melbourne tomorrow to bask in four days of awesomeness while sat in the (you guessed it) Senna stand. New engines and aero regs mean the first race should be a bit of a mix, I wonder who will get their heads around the new set-up first. Either way I think it will be an interesting season

Help With Understanding My Alignment Results
senna_T replied to bad inferno's topic in Suspension and Handling
Looks like a case of bad caster bushes more than the alignment specs. you could probably run a little more toe in as a quick and cheap fix, however the caster bushes are very soft and they will be allowing the alignment to move around quite a bit. Changing the caster bushes and upper inner control arm bushes will improve the response in the front end but it will also extend the life of the tyres greatly. -
As above, Pitlane Performance is the place to go, Mick and Bel are extremely helpful, check the Sponsor section for their details

might be an idea to take it to a falcon specialist, what area are you in so members near you can suggest a workshop?
-
Have you had anyone check for fault codes or did your auto elec do that? Has anything else on the car been changed from standard?
-
Right.... Anyone else? lol

For the people that have seen Gravity - did you watch it on TV (or PC) or did you see it in 3D at the Cinema? I watched it last week on the big screen in proper 3D and I was on the edge of my seat at some points - I thought they did a great job of making you feel really anxious and right in the situation! I can see how it would be not so impressive in 2D and on a small screen...

I have a HTC one dags, it can do everything well, gets a little warm to touch after playing games or watching movies but no overheating issues like the iPhone

Cooler Swap & No Retune Test = Dyno Results
senna_T replied to Saski's topic in Intercooler Workshop
You're on the right path mate, the larger intercooler will increase the amount of air flow and increase the efficiency of the system. This may allow the motor to rev up quicker and increase the load on the wastegate actuator. All this can lead to overboosting and detonation. After all that doom and gloom you may find that nothing at all happens and it will be perfectly fine. I'd still recommend getting the vehicle tuned with the cooler kit, this way the guy tuning your car isn't working around a problem (high intake temps) and the result will be much better -
Cooler Swap & No Retune Test = Dyno Results
senna_T replied to Saski's topic in Intercooler Workshop
Depends on how the car was tuned and what safety measures are left in place. There is a good chance that your car will boost a bit harder but no guarantee either way. The factory ecu is smart enough to pull back the timing to try and save things going bad but then the car will just feel slower than before. best bet is to get a decent quality cooler kit and get it re-tuned. Do it once and do it right -
because bubble boy - you need to get out more Freeze!

Manual Only Ba-Fg, Xr6 Turbo ¼ Mile Times
senna_T replied to YLD-11Z's topic in Drag and Circuit Racing
Supercharged gt is very diferrent on launch compared to a turbo. Much more linear torque from a higher starting point. Not saying it's impossible but I think there is a high degree of luck if the CVs last -
Manual Only Ba-Fg, Xr6 Turbo ¼ Mile Times
senna_T replied to YLD-11Z's topic in Drag and Circuit Racing
Should probably list that the top two (at least) had solid axle conversion? 9" diff gets rid of a lot of the issues getting a manual off the line -
Car is a manual? Struggle...that's what you'll do! Your 60ft time is where you lose the most time so you need to try and drop that. Fitting a launch control or a two step is going to help get it off the line with boost but there is a very good chance you will break thing easily since the clutch either has to be dropped hard or slipped alot. One way will kill the axles and diff, the other way will destroy your clutch. This was my results anyway. Since these things are so heavy a manual drag sedan has not been very successful with the IRS rear. Have you tried circuit racing? lol
