  1. C'mon Jules, LIFT! Cold turkey is probably the best way mate, all the other methods keep you in the physical habit or actually give you a nicotine hit which is a little redundant. Like the ad on TV says, you may not quit the first time, but every time you try it becomes easier. I re-visit them every now and again but I really couldn't be bothered paying so much per pack so its usually only a weekend away or a night out with mates. Also, buy a bulk pack of chewy to keep you busy
  2. Most guys are using semi's these days mate, they worked pretty well for me and I have a few customers using them with full slicks too
  3. We have the Koni Shocks on the shelf, they are $950 for a set of four to XR6T members The koni shocks provide a good, sporty ride with the ability to increase the rear rebound rate for a better launch at the drags. Most of my customers have found better traction with the konis fitted
  4. At least she is demonstrating safe practice with the visible yellow flame...
  5. Did it misfire when it was on the dyno? What did CMS say?
  6. Does it go away once you stop and then set off again?
  7. Alignment check plus cast rod bushes - they are quite soft in the FG (or all falcons really)
  8. 1.01 is probably fine for standard RPM, but if you are revving higher you may want a larger housing to flow the gas without restriction
  9. No, he's talking about a spark cut limiter that makes your car back fire off the limiter. As above you will need other parts to make it work - it is a bad idea anyway, you'll destroy the turbo in no time. What are you hoping to achieve?
  10. Definitely a popular idea - I'll try and cruise up on the bike and maybe bring down another mate to keep some variation in the car park
  11. Sounds like a good plan - I think there is a Coffee and Cars down at Picton too, they seem to get a good turn out but its not exactly accessible for a lot of people so Penrith is pretty easy to get to for everyone in the west
  12. The packages vary mate - you'd be best getting in contact with CJF077 for the current advertising structure. I don't think any of the vendors would be too worried by the way, anyone that promises big things usually gets a reality check after a couple of months of trading. I wish you all the best since I don't rely on the forum solely to pay the wages of our 15 staff and the overheads involved with a 500m2 warehouse and seven vehicles I'm sure we'll be fine if you do "show me up". As I'm sure the other established businesses who support the forum will be too. As mentioned, please stop advertising on the forum (this includes PMs) until you have reached an agreement with the Admin or we will be forced to ban your username as per the Forum Rules.
  13. No not at all, but the rules are rules - if I have to pay for advertising you do too.
  14. You can buy Super Pro bushes that are firmer than original, I would suggest a workshop fit them though as the bushes are steel cased and you will need a machine press.
  15. Please take note of the forum's advertising rules
  16. It is fairly common for the SSL springs to keep the same factory rake when used in a turbo car front and rear. The wheel and tyre combo makes it more obvious
  17. There was another thread on this, pretty sure the rubber boot rubs on the rear shocks
  18. In addition to the other suggestions I would go for a set of Bilstein shocks to compliment the higher spring rates. Monroes are generally a little on the comfy side which is great for touring however they can leave a fair bit of pitch when the going gets tough. Next time you throw it in to a corner see if you can notice if the suspension pitches more than once as you change direction - this will tell you if the tyre is becoming unloaded and adding to the understeer
  19. I used to have a little civic as a daily Mike, the thing was excellent on fuel and required very little maintenance - all of which you can do yourself on such a basic car. Rego and Insurance can offset the scale, but considering I was doing almost 100km everyday the fuel saving was worth it alone. Then factor in the extra servicing cost of the falcon ($150 in oil every couple of months) plus wear and tear on your pride and joy I found it was worth having a run around. Plus my car was a bit of a pain around town with the heavy clutch and firm suspension, running down to the shops in a comfy buss box is hassle free! The biggest issue you will face is trying not to mod the daily....My civic ended up with Koni's, wheels and a stereo among other things..lol
  20. Watched Captain America: Winter Soldier on Saturday Night. Good effects, Good Twists, Scarlet Johansen....Nothing else required really! 8/10 But I'm a fan of the comic book movies and the tie-ins with all the avenger movies - could probably give it a 7/10 for regular movie goer.
  21. All sorted mate. As you have read the bags need a minimum amount of space before they are fully compressed and start to get damaged. THe firestone bags basically replace the bump stop but you need to keep a minimum of 10psi in them at all times.
  22. Down side can be the steel (depending on quality) can weaken earlier or show signs of rust due to condensation after the car is shut off
  23. Ah yeah, the 070 is the one, just about everyone used to use a "VL Turbo" fuel pump 15 years ago...lol
