  1. A set of MTs will sort most of that out anyway mate
  2. Yeah I can imagine you want to get it back out there. What I meant was, I was physically at the track when Brian ran - 1st and 2nd gear were completely useless, but in saying that he wasn't exactly a supremely confident drag racer and the car did intimidate him - fair enough too!
  3. I watched those runs too Keith - the car had no traction until around half track but it was only running Toyo R888 tyres too, no mickey thompsons. I don't think it ever got back out to the track with a decent tyre.
  4. Make sure to check the condition of the thread in the diff hat after these bushes have been replaced a couple of times. Being an alloy hat sometimes means that the thread gets damaged if a rattle gun has been used in a careless fashion, ie wheel nut torque (read: apprentice) setting. Thread repair is not good for the amount of torque going through there too - you really need to fit a new hat.
  5. If its a 57SSL, no they wont - of its a 53SSL then maybe a little. Very different spring rates and installed heights mate
  6. Unless you have an account with a freight company like TNT, Startrack or Toll the cost would be ridiculous - plus the trucks don't have forklifts most of the time so you will need to provide a way to load it.
  7. Well said Tabby. I'm not too proud to admit that I had a bit of a cry last night after work even though like Trent I had only met Craig in person twice, but spoken to him on the phone and via internet quite a bit. Farewell Craig, you will be sorely missed.
  8. BF front coils won't lower your FG, they'll probably raise it
  9. New Harley Livewire electric bike - youtube for "noise"
  10. Clearly she is just checking the intake plate before using an engine crane to swap the motor out dags...
  11. What is that car? Ford Probe? I'd take a big bloody shifter to it as well...
  12. The height of the barra motor might be your first issue, then tilting it on it's side may cause issues with hydraulic lifters - but I'm no pro on that.
  13. Should be a KFFL-53SL to drop a 6cyl or KFFL-53 for a V8 m8
  14. Just a quick measurement is all that is needed. Measure from the bottom bolt where the strut bolts to the lower control arm. The distance from that bolt up to the spring seat will either be 205mm or 255mm (give or take a few mm) The 205mm measurement means BA and BF1, the 255mm measurement means BF2 strut. So the shorter measurement is Early, longer is Later.

    4 Link Rear

They did have a bunch of issues getting that kit to fit properly and not rattle itself loose - considering how much they charged for an unfinished product I'd say they didn't sell too many.
  16. Another Sticker Special by the looks of things.... Idiots
  17. All Good, they can work with factory or aftermarket springs - the internal adjustment allows a certain level of setup whoever you need to remove the shock from the car to adjust
  18. Tinting tail lights is illegal regardless of how visible the lights are. The piping may be legal, but you'd have to speak to an engineer.
  19. To add to Micks post, the reason you can't use this principle on IRS sedan's is because the diff does not have any trailing arms or leaves on it. In a solid axle setup the torque of the diff tube rotating in the opposite direction to the tyres is held by trailing arms (4-link) and transferred to the chassis and then allows the spring to push down on the rear wheels. This is where you see the separation.
  20. Spoton Mick, unfortunately we cant use that principle on the sedans so we try to embrace the weight transfer and hold it down through the 60ft. As you know these turbo cars have a tendency to turn the tyre after they get rolling (unless on a big stall or transbrake) and by that time the dreaded axle tramp can also show its head leading to breakages and average times.
