  1. Technically you only have to keep it registered in your name tur, not drive it
  2. yeah, I had a mate ask me, not so much the memory positions, more so the 6way seat as in the Fairmont (non ghia) I tend to agree, not worth the trouble!
  3. Yeah, there's about to be ten of them on NSW roads, my dealership is supplying them, and before you ask, no I can't get the number plates for you all! they all have reverse sensors though
  4. forgot to mention the PWR cooler I got seems really good, but I would recommend a round/under battery pipe from either PWR or Process West, these unleash heaps of flow
  5. ok, whatever you choose, just confirm the leather bit with the dealer, or he'll ring you when the car arrives and say "oh mate sorry the leather wasn't in the car" Cheers
  6. Hi All, here's a question, can you fit the six way adjustable rails or motors into the turbo? I'm not sure if the loom is different or there is an extra motor needed. Anyone else had this idea??? Cheers
  7. the whole thread!
  8. The standard XR6 (NA) can tow 2300kg, but turbo or XR8 manuals are all 1200kg and autos are 1600 in sedan
  9. yeah white weapon that's me, I think I remember you - BQQST???
  10. did u order leather or did the dealer tell you it was in the deal, cos its not in the update
  11. The xr6t and the xr8 have a maximum towing capability of 1600kg in auto and 1200kg in the manuals, this is the same between sedan and ute. the reason is because of the amount of torque the engines produce, if it really loads up the gearbox with, say, 2000kg and full noise in a higher gear, this puts too much stress on the box, sucks but is true....
  12. Hmmm, I know guys who have had some issues with Intune, dodgy dyno readings and what not ie 265rwkw out of a stock GT. That said, its cheap for a flash tuner, buy it, then get it tuned somewhere like CV or Tune House
  13. hey, I put Boston 5X7's in mine, they work great too! Most aftermarket speaker are way better than factory ones anyway, so just go with a brand you like!
  14. yeah, I'd be replacing them now, probly getting to the limit, but really you can have a low power output and a really bad tune and end up burning a hole in the pistons IMO
  15. the actual handle is different on the BF, so you'd have to replace the whole thing, not just the inserts, alternatively you could just pull the black inserts out and spray them with silver paint
  16. from memory the gauges are 2 5/8" I think that's it anyway!
  17. from memory, I thought that any bolt on an exhaust manifold should be a locking nut, and as such these bolts only work once, maybe twice if your lucky. maybe 've got it wrong, cos I know mine have been tightened before. Any thoughts ppl?
  18. looks ok, can't see how it differs too much from all the others, apart from the not oiling thing, just have to give it a go I guess!!!
  19. I don't think you can permmanently turn it off, it is a safety feature after all! For an easier way of turning the thing off, put your seatbelt in, leave it there for around 3-5 seconds, then pull it out, it takes some practice, but once you've got it its alot easier than sticking your right arm out the left window, patting yourh head and rubbing your stomach while pushing the hazards button!
  20. ahh, sorry, forgot the area! could be a little longer, maybe a week? I had acustomer who ordered in early june, but the car didn't get built until july, lucky customer! As far as we have experienced Ford is doing the right thing by its customers, even if it means a slight delay, you'll find its more the dealers that want to clear old stock that stuff ppl around!
  21. Hey, I workf for a dealer, if its finished at paint the car is probably about two weeks away from your driveway! Enjoy it dude, the BF Mk2's are a really well sorted car!
  22. Sounds good! that's roughly a trade/wholesale price for that model anyway, so it's probly cheaper than anywhere else! True the warranty is almost out, but if you want a T and that's the money you want to spend, go for it, any other T for that money would have no warranty at all, if you look at it that way its a bargain
  23. I haven't measeured, but it looks like the pipe is about 2.5 inch, which is the same diameter as the pwr intercooler piping
  24. yeah the pipe and the standard cooler are connected by a rubber hose, it can be hard to get on as there is a decent lip on the pwr pipe, but it cancels out the most restrictive part of the factory induction system by going around the battery tray instead of through it, I fitted mine after I got the cooler and it was immediately obvious that there was alot less restriction. I was looking at PW stage2 cooler, and it looks like the pipework would be longer without their plenum, so more lag??? Don't get me wrong, the cooler looks awesome, right position and everything, I just think the plenum is a must if you go for that cooler. Thoughts anyone???
