  1. there's also a reason why the HSD's are half the price of the TIENs, its the same reason a Kia Rio is $6000 cheaper than a Ford Focus, you can make your own decision in the end
  2. No, because you don't have special R-Spec Mats and Leather Trim LOL
  3. yeah, right now I'm not in the position to spend $350 on something that may or may not look good on my car, that money is going on something that WILL make it stop/go better, but I encourage someone to do it, be original people!
  4. Hmmm, never heard of them flying off while driving, I've definately heard of them being nicked though! You're right, ford will charge you some stupid amount for them, maybe you could try a wheel dealer, like bob jane or something, since they have to supply these sorts of things with "copy" wheels, they might be able to source them for you...
  5. you can still use the cd player because the Sat Nav dvd drive is in the boot on the drivers side, the VDO system uses the same spot, again I'm notsure if there are other options similar to this but its pretty good
  6. Dude if you do it you have GOT to post pics and give us a run down!
  7. I'd definately be interested in it, I wonder what it does to your actual beam projection, would it ruin the beam on the road??? I'm desperate for some one to do a projector headlamp design for the BA, it would look soooo hot IMO
  8. Check out VDO for the sat nav (or Autobahn) and you can get a genuine bluetooth kit through your ford dealer, easy to fit, costs $500 fitted
  9. ENJOY!!!
  10. I really only know of one integrated system, and that's through VDo, great system but costs a bit under 3 grand, as its a dvd based system, you're probly better off with a navman or the like, but someone else may know of a cheaper system
  11. definately premium, sub is in the middle of the parcel shelf, sat nav is possible, can be pricey though
  12. would I be right in saying that's a Pontiac GTO/Expensive Daewoo Monaro???
  13. Yeah what was this post about originally???
  14. correct
  15. You know you're probably right about the journal vs. roller bearing turbos thing, at the end of the day, if you know the risks (if any) and it makes you happy, why complain? I too enjoy smoking everything that isn't a T (and some that are!)
  16. NO BLOW OFF VALVE HURTS YOUR TURBO! Sorry for yelling but this surge is air trying to push your turbo back the other way, not good for longevity, or so I believe... Your car will have worse response between shifts because the plumback nature of the standard BOV "plumbs" wasted charge air "back" into the intake, reducing the effort of the turbo to spool back up after a gear change. If you want some noise and close-to-factory response after gear changes, get a "dual port" blow off valve, I have the kompact dual port from turbo smart, it fits in the same spot as the factory unit and sounds pretty good, not to woggy, but you know its there! Hope this helped, and if anyone thinks I have this all wrong, please let me know!!
  17. pm sent with receipt of payment Thanks Guys
  18. I bought one from CAPA about $220 I think, they don't say what psi it is, just "stronger" can't say I've fitted it yet though...
  19. I don't know if this is a problem, the vacuum level can be very touchy aepecially when its so low (15-20) it doesn't take much for the intake to reach zero vacuum, I think the cobalts are just really responsive, that's my guesstamate
  20. hmmm seems someone had a bad experience with a boost gauge when they were young
  21. Side question, why is a full size spare limited to 80Ks, different rolling diameter perhaps? I think they are limited to 80kph because they don't fully balance the wheel/tyre, and the tyre is not as high grade as your standard wheels. This announcement frustrates me cos this used to be a selling point against commodore, now its another objection on top of all the others IMO
  22. the running in on a FPV V8 is the same for a Typhoon, so there should be no reason why you can't use this for your T. Personally I did about 1000 kays before smashing the rev limter! have fun with your new Turbo!
  23. True...I've just had to let my BA II XR6T sit in the driveway for 3months, damn cops, take my licence away will ya!
