  1. Well played Paulie...well played...
  2. We aren't here to discuss or berate wheel choices in this thread. Add something constructive or stay out.
  3. Looks kewel Dags Heading out this weekend for a southern highlends loop - got some winter gloves too, so should be fairly enjoyable. Also chopped the stock pipe on the weekend, sounds a little bit gruntier and has a crack on decel now. Can't wait to get a full license so I can buy a bike with a proper motor!
  4. You did a heap of work yourself mate, you should remember that. Plenty of people out there have no idea how to turn a spanner yet manage to own fast cars!
  5. I would say bearings and bushes mate
  6. A set of koni shocks will smooth the ride out, you could also look at moving up one size in tyre profile. Try to get a European brand of tyre too, they generally run a bit softer
  7. I'm not deleting the thread just cos you are grumpy Chris....lol!
  8. So, I completed rider training and got my learner licence on Friday. Been on the piglet (cos it's smaller than a real hog) for almost 300ks and I'm loving it! Need some winter gloves though, my digits have been cold since Friday night...
  9. Nomis - my motor had 60,000 on it but no problems. The car itself needed a few things here and there like paint touch ups and the diff hat need to be re-threaded, but in saying that I advertised it for 17,500 and let the guy negotiate. I was in no rush to sell, just listed it for what I thought it would sell at. If you start too high people won't even consider the car, but if you start too low then you will have no room for negotiations. If the buyer doesn't feel as if they have had a win then they probably won't buy.
  10. Rowdy is pointing you in the right direction, check the eye bushes and also check if the steel tube in the centre of the eye bush is rubbing into the rail
  11. I just sold my BA2 05 with built motor and full suspension setup for 16,500... Didn't have quite as many power mods, but it had 110,000ks, leather, sunroof, FPV sideskirts, premium sound, upgraded brakes etc Maybe the market is good where you are, but in Sydney you are struggling to get over 20 unless the car is really a high end package Good luck though!
  12. Looks shmick dags, can't wait to see it in the flesh at this year's snowy cruise...
  13. Yep, really average stack too, I'm surprised he suffered such fatal injuries as a result of how he went in. RIP A.S. Strong and selfless of the family to insist that the team keep racing too, the team boss was about to pull all 4 cars out of the race out of respect
  14. Front and rear tyres the same size? If not the wheel speed will be different and throw the code. Aside from that some cars have had wheel speed sensors fail and others have just been dirty
  15. First place to check would be the shifter linkage. I don't have much experience with the ZF auto but hopefully someone helpful will be along soon to advise
  16. Weather is fine where I'm sitting.....but then again today is my last day before I'm jetting off to malaysia for 8 days...
  17. Can also be the clutch material that causes shudder - kevlar or cerrametallic clutches can be a pain in the ass
  18. My bet is on Wheel bearings and bushes. There doesn't need to be any play in the bearings for them to fail at high speed/temp. The standard rubber bushes allow a lot of forward and back movement so once that pattern starts it getts worse at higher speeds. Does the shaking go away after you have come to a stop and then start going again?
  19. Could be the clutch master cylinder, I would say that is the only thing you could hear leaking air from inside the footwell. The Master cylinder is a small plastic tube bolted on to the pedal box directly above the clutch pedal. It has a metal rod that links to the pedal itself. Check the firewall behind the pedals for any sign of fluid too, it generally lands on the wall and runs down behind the carpet.
  20. No different to Major League Baseball and their "World Series".... Pretty sure they have only played outside the US a handful of times and even then it was in Canada! Morning all
  21. The coilovers from an FG won't fit as the lower bracket is narrower on the FG compared to B series. Keep an eye out for B-Series coilovers or get a set of springs that suit your struts ie KFFL-53SL or the like
  22. S80 also had the V8, 4.4l quad cam developed by Yamaha. Sounded better than a factory FPV motor...
  23. Good Link here http://www.speedcafe.com/2013/06/17/volvo-launches-v8-supercar-campaign-in-brisbane/
  24. If your car is an N/A XR6 you will need SSSL fronts also - if it is a turbo you will need SSL
  25. Yeah I was a bit worried about that, put it in the cover and inside the house after pic
