  1. We can answer these questions easily, however for you to find a solution you will have to search the hundreds of topics covering all of these points. 1. The best tyres are the best ones you can afford, don't skimp on tyres if you want traction. Nitto Invo's are fairly popular and well priced 2. The gearbox will hold plenty of power, the clutch won't last long at all. Mal Wood has a great range of products for your car 3. Process West, Nizpro and Plazmaman have great kits for the falcons, any of them will be great. Do some more research with what mods people have done and the power they have gotten, your figure of 430hp running 18psi with a stock intercooler seems optimistic. If it does in fact make that sort of horsepower then I would say it is only for the first run on a dyno before heatsoak kills the performance.
  2. If your oil pump was dead the motor would've seized by now.... Are there any knocks coming from the motor? How much oil was in the sump when you drained it?
  3. Don't quote me on this, but I think the reason is because the alloy hat expands a lot more than the cast iron housing, this can lead to the gasket squirming around. As I said, not from ford directly but a tech mentioned that to me once...
  4. ultimate perv ^^^ Gets a double handed feel AND takes pics for later!
  5. It's not always the suspension's fault either you know... The car has 19's and quite possibly run-flat tyres, run flats are notorious for having super stiff side walls which can lead to tram lining and harsh ride. The wheel and tyre combo is ok on a big weighty car like the falcon considering it's designed for our roads and long haul touring. The Boxster is a featherweight in comparison and is designed for handling performance. Add this with the low profile tyres and there you have your harsh ride. If it doesn't have run flats - just ignore me completely!
  6. Have a look through the topics in here: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/forum/198-wheels-and-tyres/ There will be something that gives you the answer in all of that...
  7. Wat Am I missing something or have I forgotten Angels name....
  8. All good Aaron, flat out as always! Much the same around here then I assume?
  9. Gahhh, you guys are getting good at picking out the cops...
  10. Morning all, haven't been around for a while! How is everyone?!
  11. Well it really depends doesn't it? Do you drive on perfectly flat roads everywhere and never see a driveway or speed hump? Yes? Then slam it on the ground.... Otherwise, if you live in australia like the rest of us you should probably go for around 1" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. Good clearance and retain travel in the shocks. Aside from that there are heaps of threads on lowering around here. All you need to do is stick your head under the car and see how low the exhaust hangs to see how much clearance you have...
  12. Did the noise start after the bushes were installed or was it already there but not as loud? Depending on what brand of bushes were fitted and how they were installed you might find that the noise is being enhanced by the harder bushes. This is not to say that the bushes are the problem, they are just making the issue more apparent
  13. You shoulda texted me Mick, wouldve been brilliant out there today!
  14. Got the piglet serviced today, fitted the new front tyre too, ended up with Pirelli Angel ST, feels good so far! Clean bill of health on the rest of the bike so I'll have to get back to scraping pegs until the next service!
  15. Cheers for that, but I'm worried about going too hard too soon, I haven't been riding for 2 months yet! Over confidence can be a bad thing...lol
  16. Mickus, can't say I've tried that on the bike yet, getting curious though... John, will look into the angels but I can see the point of keeping the same on the front and rear
  17. Also, although it is a cruiser, I've been scraping pegs a little lately and I don't mind that at all...
  18. Thanks for the reply guys John, helpful as always! Lol Yes, it's only the front that needs replacing, the rear has heaps on it still. The bike has (and is originally fitted with) Bridgestone Battlax. Any comments on them?
  19. Any riders out there have a suggestion on front tyres for the bike? I'm due for a new one and I have no experience with different brands
  20. Generally a strong sneeze or cough would knock the whiskers off my face, so I normally use electric. When I feel like it I enjoy the process of a proper shave with a good shave cream and hot water. I also have a friend that is a barber and whenever I get a haircut I get him to give me a shave with the cut throat razor. Clean shaven and a haircut, extra babyface ensues and I look about 12...feels nice though...lol
  21. Went for a ride yesterday and stumbled on this driveway. Not one to take photos normally but couldn't pass it up
  22. Well yeah, there is that option too... Struggling to decide on what to get though, still keen on the Victory bikes but worried they may date. Harley has the new breakout and since it's a Harley it already comes pre dated...
  23. I'll be there in one way or another guys. Thanks for the offer Pete, I'll more than likely take you up on that
