  1. Good results a while ago - a member here ran a low eleven at the drags with them!
  2. Excel-G shocks are basically just a standard replacement for the Falcon, nothing fancy just a factory style shock. They will do the job but it probably won't like the SSSL ride height and may not ride great
  3. No good, hope everyone's friends and families are ok. Don't forget about the pets too - even if you just let them out its better than having them stuck inside a cage
  4. Yes in stock, 95 including freight
  5. Can't comment on others, but ours definitely have all the right washers
  6. ^^^ This, just two washers to locate the stud in the arm, no bushes at all
  7. One of the guys at work looked at doing this too with a V-Rod - would've saved a few grand too - but found that the compliance requirements and the shipping meant that for all the trouble you might as well buy locally and enjoy some form of warranty if bought from a dealer. Also, you don't lose anywhere near as much on Harley's as you do other bikes - almost pointless looking at a second hand unit less than 5 years old when comparing price with a new bike. Also remember that if it's re-sale you are concerned about the Imported bike will have a lower resale value to match it's lower purchase price since it is not a locally delivered model. Have you looked at the Breakout at all? A lot of good features standard and a relatively low starting price compared to the Softy
  8. Our ball joint design is superior to the original style since it removes the vertical play in the bushes which slows response from the swaybar. In other words as the suspension loads up, the bushes squash and move first then the swaybar moves. With our design there is no delay.
  9. Check the u-bolts, they can come loose after first install. Also check that the bushes in the leaves were greased correctly.
  10. Bandwidth Junkie ^^^
  11. Cheers Aaron - its nothing too quick but it does look good for this purpose
  12. Can help you with a late model if it gets to that mate
  13. Could be the top shock mount bush - its only two bolts and the shocks are out - rip it out and have a look
  14. Team Skinny rods! Good work Chris, now lets see some consistency and bracket wins
  15. Again, the point I'm trying to make has been completely missed. Why are the XYZ's better than your konis? Because it feels firmer? Because the spring rates are higher? Because you don't feel as much body roll? What I'm trying to get people to understand is that not everyone wants their car to be a race car. Not every vehicle reacts the same way to the same parts. Some more information is required from the individual before any recommendation can be made. Which is why I asked the question. I sell and recommend XYZ coilovers but only if they are suitable for the customer And if you paid more for konis than you did for XYZ coilovers you got handled...
  16. ^^^^ This is the problem with asking if suspension is "good" Yes, of course its good if you want to slam your car in the weeds, but it's no good if all you want is to lower the car an inch and have it ride well with good body control like a big dollar euro car. It's like saying that a sachs racing shock from a V8 supercar is "better" than your original shocks so you should fit them to your daily driven lawn bowls transport... "Better" isn't always "Best"
  17. Depends on what you want it for - do you want to slam the car?
  18. Overall we are down in turnover a little, but we still have crazy busy days - I think most people in sydney are spending their money on other things this year, house prices are up again and the market seems to be running strong so car parts aren't moving as quick. It's funny what effects our industry...
  19. The ease and popularity of head book is hurting all forums I think
  20. Quiet in here today...
  21. From what I've seen they are all the same Mitch - from base model to FPV
  22. Best bet is to measure your car from the centre of the wheel up to the guard (referred to as Hub-To-Guard) and figure out where you want it to sit. Or better yet have a look in the "Show Us Your Car" threads and see if you see anything you like. I can supply kings for under $300 delivered to Adelaide.
  23. Nice set-up bogan! I know what you mean about the extra kilos...
  24. Been quiet in here lately - any other riders on the forum? I may have allowed my bike to overcome a form of restriction it had too - seems to go a bit better now...
  25. Not sure on the head office spiel but the guy I bought them off didn't mind what combination - I just wanted 3 cans of matt black though
