Thanks heaps for the replies fella's. I have been trying to convince him to go down the road of a STi, but he's not sure if he wants to spend that much. I said in the long run it could be cheaper. He hates the bug eyed look to, so that limits the 'non-thrashed' models. He's not going to mod it, if it has a few mods fine, but I doubt he will go much past body and wheels. Felix

Yeah I have already told him an un-thrashed WRX is rare as rocking horse sh*t. So... Signs of wheelspin, damaged tyres and rubber inside arch. Gear changes, sticky, noisy, clunky Engine mounts? Cracked rubber? Stressed metal? What should I look at there? Thanks guys Felix

A friend of mine is looking at buying a WRX and has come to me for some advice. Hes after a 1999 - 00 manual, not heavily modded, not thrashed. What is there that he can look out for in the car that would hint to any signs of abuse? Is there any model specific issues he should know? Any big things he can check for before forking out for inspection? Thanks Felix

I knew a guy who walked into a police station carpark and started smashing the cars up with a hammer. By the time they came out and wrestled him to the ground he had gone through about 4 cars, windows, tail and headlights, Sirens, wing mirrors. When they asked him what he was thinking, he said 'They (the cars) were grinning at him...' Go figure. Felix

Yeah plenty of car freaks... and everyone is so focused on the cars that you have to take most shots twice as people just stroll infront of you. My battery died before I could get any shots of the Lancer girls :( We were there from about 530 to 9ish and it was busy the whole time. Carparks were all at 90% I would say. Oh yeah and we broke the Liberty Sat Nav (pic from the backs seat with my mate in the front) we were just trying to enter a address and it sh*t itself :| Felix

As a last minute decision I had to get out of the house so a mate and I went to the show last night. Bit bigger from last year, nice having the bikes there to. Wasnt many promostitues though. The Lancer girls were veryyyyy nice. Got to tell a Expensive Daewoo salesman that the back of the Maloo looked like a gay WWE wrestler. The pics were taken with my phone so the quality isnt great, but you get the idea. Felix

Hah good old Priors Pocket, first time I was ever in a car doing triple the speed limit, first time to crack 200 to... ahh the memories. I knew of a kid that got his driver license at sherwood in the morning and was driving back after seeing some friends and having lunch and got done along there doing 45 over, he held his license for 6 hours. After those kids died along there, the cops have been hammering that stretch. I save my enthusiastic driving for private roads now. Moggill has a live in beat cop now to. He lives across from my folks and the last time I left theirs after a party I gave it a 'bit' and he came across and harrassed my folks. Felix

Have you had it on a dyno before to see what stock power it's running? Mine was about 210rwkw, I was stalling it to about the same and had plenty of wheelspin on the stock dunnies. Felix

Yeah, tell me about it. You can have a restored flight ready one for 2.5million... or a 3/4 size replica for about 300k. I saw a ME BF 109 for 2mil fully restored and came with weapons... 20mm and the 7.9mm guns. Felix
