  1. I don't know whats its like at ford senna, but at Expensive Daewoo we used to get every man and his dog coming in trying to out do you in some little bit of knowledge to do with the cars, so I used to make it my goal to know EVEYTHING that I could about the cars, mainly crapadores... seemed the tossers were only interested in them... go figure Felix

    Tuff Tonneaus

Sweet, pics would be great. Its only for tool storage, not for working out of, and I have no interest in ladder racks (only carry a 6 footer in the tray). How hard is it to take off for the odd large item move? Thanks Felix So only $200 or so difference between the two types. I like the look of the Leaseback, but the practicality of the Roller. In saying that, if I'm not working out of the Ute, I guess looks can play a larger part. Thanks again Felix

Any pics? Did you do the install yourself? How far does it open in comparison to the OEM lids? Is this on a BF, as in is it compatible with the OEM tub liner? Regarding the grommets, how do you paint them? Thanks heaps. Felix

Hey that's not bad... Nice and waterproof? What did that set you back? Self install? On the ego finish and black surround of tub it should blend in nicely. Is that a BF? Also can you just buy the coded plugs to fill the holes left by the tie down points? I guess I'm tossing up between roller and hard lid, cost being a big factor as the roller styles are quite a bit more, in saying that they are ALOT more practical, even if they are not as flash looking. How do the rollers look? Ive seen the pics on the site, but they are not very good quality. Do the lids blend in well? I like the smooth clean look of the lazerbacks. Felix

Thinking about options for the back of my Ute, was going to build a cover and boxes, but figure if someone has done it better than you... why bother. Anyone had any experience lately with this Mob? Anyone know any pricing? I would imagine they are going to be cheaper than the OEM product, painted they go for over 2g right?? Plus I like the really flat look, not a fan of the massive bulge in the BF top. Looking at the 'Lazerback' Or the 'Tuff Lid' Felix

A better question to ask is... Do you believe in Magic or not? Illusion, slight of hand, hypnosis etc are all different. I dont believe anything until I see it with my own two eyes. Then again, I've seen my friend been eaten by an armchair and a swimming pool CreepyCrawly strangle an elephant in my own backyard... so who can you trust?!?! Felix

    ...this is a crab! Felix
  10. Ive seen people get stuck on it and break down crying! Once you know where your going its easy, you just need to be prepared before you get to it. I dont know about now, but GPS navigators used to sh*t themselves when trying to work out how to get through, they just drew a straight line. Felix

  12. To true, where I am from in England, we had a roundabout nicknamed the 'Magic Roundabout'... Cant find a pic of it but there was one in Swindon that is similar. The one we had was in Hemel Hempstead, and instead of 5 feeder mini roundabouts it had 6! Imagine putting 80% of Australian drivers on that. Felix
  13. Ahh true... good idea. I'll give them a call on Monday. Its a mob in Sherwood called Brisbane Collision Centre. I wouldn't mind getting the dent in the bonnet sorted out to at the same time, see if they can look after me on that. Felix

  15. Mighty HAWT, it was either my ute or one of these and keep my rodeo and be disowned by my family... LOVE the Gixxer Felix
  16. Well car has been assessed and is booked in for next week. Its going to take 2 weeks at a cost of $4000 inc. $1300 parts. I thought It would have been more?!? I noticed a nasty rotational clunking noise when turning tight corners from the rear, and also some shuddering from the front when turning the wheels at very slow speed. Plus a bubbled front tire and passenger electric window was playing up. I'm guessing that they think they can beat all the panels good since parts figure is so low? So I have 2 weeks with the 'Gold Chariot' Corolla, no cruise control for 1400km is going to kill me. Any advice when picking the ute up? Should I take a magnet and check for bog? Think that would well cheese the panel shop off if I pulled a fridge magnet out. Felix

Damn if you had one of those hanging off your nuts I'm sure she would notice! Felix
  18. Yeah, gonna see about the little ding in the bonnet, plus all the scrapes under the spoiler from me 'learning' what I cant fit over. Should I get anything else checked out? I mean diff wise? the car got shunted sideways but it wasnt going very quick and the impact wasnt massive?!? What you guys think? Felix
  19. Well I guess it had to happen. In 11 years of driving I have had two accidents... One when I was 15 reversing out of the house and turned to soon and clipped the front of my parents Camry, the second was a year after getting my license I was being stupid and went through a fence, but no damage. Today I lost a fight with two vans on a roundabout, and I can thankfully say it was 100% NOT my fault. My first accident involving another vehicle! I know lots of people have had worse, but since I'm a virgin I felt pretty bad. Two lanes of traffic going over a roundabout in Morningside, I'm in the left lane going over (can do on this one) I turn left just after the roundabout hence why I'm in that lane, then some chump who looks like Mario Brother, in the right lane realises that he is in the wrong lane for turning left and tries to turn straight through my rear end. Sends me in a spin, USA cop tap style, and then the van behind him also going over the roundabout, slams into my drivers door. :banghead: My friend and I are all ok, he didn't know if I was going to cry or beat the guy to death with my baseball bat. Its off to the assessor tomorrow, I mounted the curb to so all of the front of the spoiler is scratched, all three panels on the drivers side need work, plus the wing mirror and rear bumper. So I'm going to be driving my folks GOLD Corolla around for a few days Guess I'm lucky, heavy traffic so it was a low speed crash, but its my first so I was pretty shaken... that noise of metal on metal is just HORRIBLE Ive stood meters from crocodiles crushing the skulls of Buffalo's and it didn't sound this bad. End whine. Felix

    Just Not My Day

One of the downsides of being a grubby tradesman, I must have sat in it somewhere then spent an hour driving home rubbing it into the seat! On the plus side when I took it off the seats look in great shape and I had a plastic cover from my last service sitting behind it so I slipped that on. that's the problem with driving these things lots, I only do about 700 km a week, and the number of stonechips has gone up exponentially. Just Not My Day

I had one of those days yesterday... got waterproof sealer all over my neoprene seat covers... I rang mum and asked her 'how do you get something that is waterproof off something that is waterproof?' I drive to work at 3am its great, I can highly recommend it. Apart from the getting up at 230am bit. Felix
  22. Ahh, brings back memories of my uni days out at Gatton Ag College. That grass runway used to get a good working over every other night. Felix
  23. Video? Looks loud. Felix
  24. Yeah Pretty horn! I was going Bionic then I saw the Dealer Principles GTP in ego and it was filithy... I thought a car that even looks good dirty! that's the car for me! However it would look even better with no gashes and chips! Felix
  25. Small hijack, but I have a dent/damage to the front lip of my bonnet. It looks like someone has parked in front of me and opened the tailgate on there hatch or van and its slammed into my bonnet and jammed. Is this the kind of thing I should take to a bodyworks place or can a mob like this fix it? This pic shows the paint damage but not the dent so much. It just the lip that is bent in for about 75mm.
