So the 'ego' colour joke is "another faded silhouette" whats "undercoat"? I thinking about going to other dealers and having test drives just to make the 3 weeks go faster felix

Well guys and gals, after much reading on this and other forums yesterday I went and test drove and purchased a not yet built, '07 Mk2 BF 6spd Auto XR6T Ute in 'Ego' I test drove a man, auto T's and a GTP auto. The auto xr6t was just amazing, I was really impressed (clearly). the salesman did not have an xr8 to drive so we took out a GTP, and let me just say... VERY dissapointed. The T was like a jet and the GTP was like a Jumbo, it could do the same, but just didnt feel as fun... sounded GREAT but didnt give me the WOW, and I was/am a v8 fan boy. I take del in 3 weeks!!!! its gonna be a slow few weeks . What I need advice on, is I want to get some personalised plates and I cant work out what colour combo to go with on the ego... any ideas? Nothing seems to look right. I hope to do a few things to my new toy once I get used to the way this thing goes!?!!! I am in bris so hope to get out and about asap and meet some other like minded peeps. I hear the performance shop up at Redcliffe is a top place to get work done. thanks in advance Felix

I used to sell new holdens up here in brisbane, I sold an HSV clubsport R8 to a dead set Expensive Daewoo fan, the motor blew in the first month, got replaced, he traded it in on a grange, the transmisson failed in the first three months... got replaced. He was then in a really bad car crash and lost the use of his legs, he bought the insurance replacement through us and got it fitted with the disabled assist gear so he could still drive a HSV. Some people love em no matter what they do to them. You can buy any car and it can be a 'lemon' its just some models are lemons by design.

Long time reader, first time poster... Going to buy a XR6T ute and have a few questions, hope you guys can help me out. first, whats the difference between the standard icc and the prestige icc? is the luxury pack worth 3k the climate, prestige icc and audio worth the 1500. second, I have heard that the ecu 'learns' but no one has been able to explain how this works? how you drive should not change the way the ecu controls ignition?!? (yes I know I have a limited knowledge of engines :hiwelcome: ) third, I want to do a few mods, (air, exhaust, edit) now this 'edit', just wondering how changing the ecu can get such large gains? and also would something like this damage warranty. Lastly, bionic, neo, ego or breeze. (love the two stripes down the side would like to get them to) thanks heaps Felix
