Hey guys, was wondering if any one can point me in the right direction, in terms of getting my 2 dvd screens sewed inside the headrests. They are 2 6.2" screens, and I have leather interrior.....so I was wondering who does this sort of work in Melbourne, and if any one's done it....what price am I looking at? regards -dragz

yeah age does have alot to do with it.....under my old mans name...rating one with AAMi insurance is 1250 or around there full comp on the t. For me, 20 year old P plater I would be looking over 4g'z easily......which is poo :( so I guess im going to wait a little till I get a policy under my name hehe

yep....telstra ex fleet ones are good.. I bought mine @ 80k....full service history and it even had some telstra booklets in the glove box from when they purchased it so far.....sound!! no problems whats so ever and goes good..

hey mate, I've got my light on again, I had it come on before my 90k major service...and guys at fords charged me around 100$ to "check" it apparently...but now it's back on again just before 105k service hmmmmm it's a fault with the wiring and apparently its dangerous and may cause airbags to come on unexpectedly whilst driving, or they might not come out at all in case of an accident. So, I guess best bet is to take it to ford and get it checked out.....I know I'll have to again.. dragz

nah nah, the newest laws state that, and they apply to every one after 01/06/07, but drivers that got the license before that date are allowed to drive a turbo car as long as it meets the power to weight ratio standards. The ones who got it after, can't drive a turbo regardless (not a v8 or supercharged vehicle) shocking ;\

oh no joke? so dibbi vans....can't see detailed specs? oufff.....yeah well as I said I've been pulled up about 4 times for no reason but with a TURBO badge on the car...and never got a fine or anything...now that it's off I don't think they look @ me...which is good. Also the crossover...hahaha that's a good idea...I shall do something about that...not the tape ofcourse I had a sergeant interrogate me saying I put fake badges on my car and that I was driving an illegal vehicle . He was under the impression that the car was an XR8, made me pop the bonnet and everything. What I found funny was he saw "Intercooled Turbo" written inside the bay, and he said " so you didn't lie to me, its a real xr6....that's fine" he let me off without a fine, just said to drive carefully. He drove a marked VY, luckly not hwy patrol hehe :D

ah....yeah I agree there, but as you said no matter how powerful the car is...itall depends on the driver....!!! which is kind of wrong..as it effects all of us!!! I am still on my p'z till next September..and cops haven't given me any grief about it...yet but I've driven the car around for a year now. Before they used to fine me when I drove a skyline, that was it! and now its 3 demerit points...and the big fine? come on...absolutely disgusting. Also, regarding the "keeping the plates down", hehehe imagine I get pulled up...no p plates...which is 3 points + the high powered vehicle 3 points...there goes the license :S ahh all I got to say is that im worrying now :|

Ah, I just stumbled across the vic roads page on the "new power to weight ratio" laws.......and oh god...was I astonished to see that they don't just hand out a 250$ fine on the spot.....buttttttttttt now they have a right to fine you up to roughly 1100$ and also deduct 3 demerit points :(...... the 125kw per tone...is rubbish... as a stock xr6t pumps around 150kw per tone :S .... any one has any oppinions about these new laws? nice nice...thanks awsmxr.... yeah I was thinking SSL and SL....so you got front and rear compressed by 1 inch or? I don't think id compress them any more...as the car does need to go up a moderately steep driveway...without much angle to climb hehe so what do you think is the rough price? either fitted or just the springs, seeing your from VIC. thanks dragz.

YES DAGABOND! ;laugh it off hahaha...I just realised what I wrote...I was fuming man!!! god damn dealers! turns out I had to drive around all day! and still didn't get the tyres changed! but the dealers sent me to some tyre place...where they chizzled off the locknut on all 4 wheels...and put a new set and gave me the key this time! so tomorrow new shoes go on...finally!!! thanks for the help guys much appreciated

hey guys, might sound stupid or what ever, but my rear tyres both popped at the same time...(no burnouts what so ever) must have ran over something. Anyways, being tubeless I thought I would take them both off and take down to beau repairs...so they can patch em up for me just untill I get time to get new pair. As I jacked the car up, I took 4 lock nuts off......the 5th one seemed not to come off, as I looked closer it was all craved up and it had some patterned shape over it...as if it is meant to be undone with a special key, there is one on each wheel. I don't know if this is some way of preventing theft or what ever, but I was not supplied with a bloody weird key!!!!! any ideas? regards, dragz

yehh quite normal, I asked the guy @ the ford service center when I did my major...I thought it was blow-by...but he said its quite normal and does not indicate any problems. dragz
