  1. Jeff. it was a sad day, but we are building a house & the running costs were killing me. My new ride is a Mazda SP23. Good on fuel, lease costs have halved, but it will NEVER replace the T for enjoyment sorry guys, back to the topic
  2. What mods do you have? You have standard boost(no edit I take it)standard exhaust.....was it on street tyres, what fuel? These are great times for 183kw ← Mods I had... the big blue girl has gone but the memories live on XR8 snorkel on the std T airbox, 1/2 tank optimax fuel, SP3000 dunlops & 5deg ambient !
  3. the car ran consistent 13.8`s and the night I ran 13.64, the runs either side of it were 13.66 & 13.68. The dyno run was done at Autotech by Spiro. who stated that bit was about average for an auto.
  4. that is an awesome effort mate!! what was your 60 foot? that's strange.. my mph is the same, et slightly quicker, but my dyno sheet says 297hp atw!! my dyno sheet cant be right hey.. with ~220rwkw I should be around 104-105 mph right?? ← 60' time was 2.0
  5. which sheet ? the DYNO or the time slip. Either way I can post both. The DYNO sheet is at home so I will post it tomorrow Cheers PSI
  6. 2003 auto XR6T with airbox mod 183rwkw 13.64 @ 100mph WSID optimax, factory dunlops with 25PSI complete with spare tyre & double pram in the boot !

  9. Turn it up Jeff, you got your left & right mixed up again.
  10. jeez, I do it everytime I drive a manual, but I am struggling to put the sequence to print. 1. Put clutch in and gear into neutral 2. Let clutch out 3. As you blip the throttle to get the rpm's up to match the lower gear, put clutch in and downshift 4. Let the clutch out

thanks for the link, but it does not really answer the 1/4 mile question.

    Manual Vs Auto

Hi Guys, just finished reading a thread in which the old 1/4 mile chestnut of " a properly driven manual will always be quicker than an auto " was raised. I know that this has been debated before, but I have never really seen a definitive outcome. ( pls advise if it has ) I take my limited experience at the drags as an example. I have an auto T with an airbox mod and have run a 13.6 ( best ) but 13.8`s consistently. Are there any manuals out there that have run these times or quicker, with the same mods ? I am assuming that we will all compare time slips so the roll out factor is taken into consideration. Cheers PSI
  15. jeez I though fluoro wheels went out with Mal Rose`s privateer entry of a few years back ?
  16. Yeah and this show off can pull of consistent 13.6's <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What a load of that cant be done <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah what would I know ! I am only the apprentice Test Driver at Low Boost Performance P/L

one more suggestion JB. Piss off Geoffrey Bloody Boycott. That way even if we lose we wont have to listen his one-eyed commentary.. No where is my cricket kit...... I feel a late selction call is coming
  23. I got 37500 out my rear factory dunlops and the fronts were good enough to go the back, when I replaced them. This was with 5 trips to WSID and adequaetly warming them before each run.
  24. it is at smithfield, peter waren <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thought so. I drove it on Saturday Good price for all the options. Just check to see if it has the clutch upgrade though. Cheers PSI
  25. PBR supply the calipers for the premo`s and I find this junk to be a fine factory option.
