  4. Awesome car dude! You pretty much have the exact mods fitted to your car which I would get if I had an FG Turbo. I have always loved the coarse and deep note of Di Filippo exhausts and consider them to be among the best on the market. Sure, they aren't the prettiest and certainly not the most refined sounding, but they make great power and have a great note nonetheless. As for the Plazmaman gear, the latest stuff they have for FG Turbo's look unbelievable, both in quality, fit and finish and style. Enjoy your car and the awesome mods that you have chosen for your car! I'm more than a little bit envious....
  5. A bit of a thread mine, but I would like to know the aswer to this question as well.

  7. Looks awesome. I've always been a fan of Plazmaman's gear. Top quality products.
  8. Thanks for that benny. Odd that ones taller and the other ones thicker. Although the Nizpro cooler is obviously a lot bigger and better flowing than the 6 cooler, I still am impressed by the size of the stock cooler. It would have to be better than the B series Factory F6 cooler and that wasn't too bad a unit either.
  9. Is the FG XR6T and F6 cooler the same size or does the FG F6 have a bigger cooler than the XR6T like the BA/BF's?
  10. I bet the funding for sending a spaceship to the moon and mars is a lot more than how much has been allocated for cancer research. I hope that in my lifetime I can see that the human race has found a cure for this insidious disease.
  11. Really sorry to hear mate. Cancer is probably the worst disease known to humans, and it always seems to affect those who least deserve it! My step mother has been battling breast cancer for years, and has only just recently had to have her breast removed. The amount of pain and suffering she has had to endure is phenominal. She is such a lovely person and doesn't deserve it at all. At least she's been given a very good prognosis after having her most recent procedure to remove the cancer completely. I just feel for all those people out there who fight for years and go through hell only to not make it out. We live in a cruel world....
  12. Far out man that's incredible. Mind telling us who tuned your car? Last I remember of you, you were in SA.
  13. Can you retrofit the BA gasket onto the BFs? I've got an F6X and obviously this is the same as a BF engine. I've just had the 30k service done and they didn't find anything wrong with it. I might have to have a look tonight to make sure there isn't any leaks as I don't really trust my dealer.
  14. There's no doubt that this design has negligable benefits on a Turbo despite who manufactures it but for an N/A application it would definitely be beneficial, there's no doubt about it.
  15. I've used a 3" magnaflow metal core cat 200cpi which was rated at 596cfm. But this was on an N/A 6, so not really relevant to you. Even if the cat didn't perform as well as it was rated to, being an N/A meant that it wouldn't have really mattered. My advice is to not risk it and get something that's been rated to a certain CFM by a reputable shop, preferably local (national). I'd say go for the Sureflo 5" body cat with 3" ends. Rated at 706cfm and they're 200cpi IIRC.
  16. OKay well it must have been a BF that I saw fitted with a cat that had a 3" section on both ends. Surely with the factory setup you must have 4 pieces with the factory exhaust being dump pipe which bolts to cat section, cat section which bolts to intermediate pipes and last section being the tailpipes. If you're telling me that the middle section of the exhaust isn't actually an independant peice, but rather welded on to the cat section, then it must be a bloody long peice of exhaust. If there's a cat replacement needed under warranty Ford woud have to replace half the exhaust. Doesn't sound right to me.
  17. I'm not sure I'm following what you mean. The cataytic converter section of the exhaust bolts in between the dump pipe and the catback. Surely the pipe from the dump pipe being 3inch to the cat exits as a 3 inch out of the cat? I thought that it splits out from a 3" to twin 2 1/4" after the cat, therefore there should be atleast a bit of room (say 5cm for example) to fit it in both ends. As fr cat flow, I've got no idea what Catco flows but I quoted those specs from the Surelfo website about the Ballisitic cats. http://www.surefloexhaust.com.au/frame1600x1200.htm
  18. What sort of a blower setup has it got?
  19. Hi mate Why don't you try a 3" ballisitc cat (5 inch body)? They are a weld in type for the XR6T. Should weld straight in with the 3" ends. According to Sureflo Exhaust it will flow 706cfm. I am sure they are 200cpsi as well.
  20. Can I ask what has been done to this car? If there is a post/thread somewhere else that mentions the details/specs ect please redirect me.
  21. Hoe does an Option 4 drive as I think they are the same as an option 3 but with a ceramic clutch plate? Option 3 drives better than stock from what I've read, so maybe ACE option 4 won't be near as bad relative to every other ceramic clutch on the market.
  22. No mate you can't put XR6T gears into an N/A diff as the diffs are completely different. The T's and V8s use a Dana M86 while the N/A's use an M78 Dana which is just a rebranded borg warner used in previous models. The (only) bonus about N/A's using the old diff is that all the previous final drive ratios can still be used like 3.91 ect.
  23. They are 4 piston front and rear. Front 355mm rear 330mm. Tickford/FPV never had 2 piston rear brakes.
  24. I think people here are being a bit harsh on the poor bloke. Sure the F6 snorkel is a brilliant BFYB, but it certainly is in no way better than the growler kit. IMO, the growler kit is still overpriced, but not any more expensive than a Bluepower or G&D airbox, and I'm sure it's not far behind those two boxes performance wise as it's a very similar design. I think the problem with these kind of intakes on our turbos are that there's restrictions elsewhere in the intake system that need are required to be rectified first, before you'll get the full gain. If you remove the cross over pipe then this type of airbox becomes redundant as you'll need an intake from the other side. I think careful consideration is required when choosing mods, as to ensure your hard earned is best spent the first time, not spent doubling up on unecessary items. I think you need to have one aim, and 1 goal, and to acheive it you need to understand what you need to do to get you there first. I think this guy has done that, considering he's been in the turbo scene for a while with another brand. The product that he's got has fitted his needs and he can feel the gains. At the end of the day, as long as the end product has acheived that desired result, then all parties should be happy. This guy certainly is happy and that's all that realy matters.
  25. When is this "new" Tex clutch coming out? I got one of the first twin plate Tex clutches on the market for Fords over a year ago. It's got great feel and driving manners, but boy the bugger is rattly!
