  1. I have a mate, and also the rods were the cause of the ticking noise. I wouldn't drive it much as (if this is the problem) can let go at any time. For your sake I hope it is not a bent rod.
  2. I have these on my BA, amazing stopping power! As was mentioned with the reversing of brackets, looks the caliper will be offset instead of being at 3 oclock they are at 2. Good luck, Alf
  3. What do you think the power limit would be for the T04Z, if you were to use the standard T3 manifold with adapter spacer? I heard up to 450rwkw is achievable. Can anyone tell me the difference in drivability compared to the standard turbo running at about 17psi?
  4. I have 10.5" rims with 275 marangoni mythos rear and 8.5" 255 marangoni mythos on the front. The inside of the rear rim misses by 5mm and had to roll the guards. I think I could fit 285 or possible 295's if I put a spacer and pump the guards slightly. Grip wise 2nd gear roll ons with cold tyres spins through to 3rd but second time grips with minimal tyre slip in second and max grip through third. Really gives that gforce seat of the pants feeling.
  5. I will purchase the actuator for $50. What would be the postage to 2112?

  6. Hey Nigel, I will be goin down to C and V to get one of these. Can yo give me the exact details, con raves about how great your shifter is! Cheers Alf
  7. Is this auto compatable with our ECU? Can the shifts be changed and made firmer? Will it be acceptable to drive on the Highway? If all of these facters can be met I would definately consider one of these. Cheers Alf.
  8. What about a built ZF? how much power can they handle? I was thinking of transfering all my performance parts into a BF auto. I will eventually be running 450 to 500 rwkw but for now I have 380 ish would the auto be reliable?
  9. Hey all. I was wondering from peoples experience what is the fastest aftermarket manual shifter for a T56 gearbox? I have a standard item which is dogsh@t and needs replacing soon. So far I have been researching RIP shifters, Billet shifters, Hurst shifters and Mal Wood shifters.Which one of the above have the quickest and smoothest up and down changes? I know this has probable been spoken to death but your information would be appreciated! Cheers Alf.
  10. Thanks mate I will have a look tomorrow. Is it pretty accessable?
  11. I got a quote from ALs race glides once for $6000. Know money is scarce so no auto for me.
  12. Hi all This may seem like a dumb question but can anyone tell me where the fill point is on the diff housing? Also I presume the drain point would be the lowest flange bolt, would this be correct? Cheers Alf.
  13. Has anyone replaced the TPS within the accelerator module under the dash. I have also replaced the TPS on the throttle body, coil packs, plugs, oxygen sensor. I have this annoying fault (check engine light) comes on after 3000rpm and stays on for about 1 sec after you lift the accelerator pedal. I have been told to replace the TPS under the dash but the brake booster has to be moved forward and a whole lot of other stuff removed to access this unit. Can anyone else confirm this?
  14. What do you mean throttle control tuniing? This is a new concept for me.
  15. Hey Spiko Do you get that annoying lag between gear changes? Is there anything that can be done regarding tuning to reduce this problem (maybe setting a delay), or just smashing the gear lever as fast as possible? Probably a dumb question but you have to ask! It would be great to see your car run that 10, keep at it! Cheers Alf.
  16. I fit 275 mythos with lipping the guard on a sedan. utes dont have irs so my gues is yes they will fit.
  17. Sorry for the delay on the photos but have been at work alot lately. The rears are RPM Hiros 10.5" Mytho 19x275x30 The fronts are 8.5" with Mytho 19x235x30 (should have gone 245) On the back there is 5mm of clearance between the control arm and the inside of the tyre. The guards had to be lipped also there is a 5mm spacer to clear the inside. The car is standard height but will be dropped by about an inch and stiffened up. Grip wise these tyres are far superior to my orignial stock 235 rubber. The car will get traction in 2nd where before I had to what for mid 3rd.
  18. BA sedan
  19. The BA 18" rim will clear Brembo 4 pots. I know because I put this wheel over my mates brembos. 17" will not clear, need a minimum of 18's. You need to watch the clearance between the inside of the spoke and the side of the caliper.
  20. Just purchased a set of Hiros 19x10.5 with 275 mythos rear and 19x8.5 with 245 mythos tyres on the front. The gaurds had to be rolled for these suckers to fit! traction is much better now I can put 90% of the power down in second! I will post some photos tomorrow of the rims. Cheers Alf
  21. Mine had been stuffed for a couple years now! Hasn't affected performance however the car feals a little twitchy through slow sweaping corners. Also with the clutch in when I roll forward makes a clunking noise.
  22. Yeah I would love a FG Chris but you know how it is with the manager of funds and finance stopping all spending! Thanks everyone for your help. Has anyone had their gaurds pumped and how much? Do you think the rear wheel bearings would be under more stress? A nice 295 surrounding a black deap dish rim under the rear would look awesome. May solve some traction issues also! Cheers Alf
  23. will 315's fit on 10" wide rim? I suppose the guard would need to be rolled and pumped out. Can anyone tell me the offset?
