  1. How did you fit the 305's under the rear with the IRS setup? I have 10.5" hiro's with 275's (could go 285's) but that would be very tight! I might go back to 9.5 inch rim so they fit under the guard properly.

    Oh Dear

I'm not driving it it's in the garage. I start it once every 3 weeks to get things moving. My turbo makes alot of noise on wind down, Ive pulled the intake pipe off and the turbine has no marks (touch wood nothing happens).
  3. That's alot of current draw from the pumps (2x bosch 044 I presume). What about staying with a single larger capacity unit would that work? I suppose dimensions would be important because you want it to fit in the surge tank still.

    Oh Dear

My turbo sounds like that. Awaiting my GTX setup when I get some coin!

    Oh Dear

If the car was standard why wouldn't they cover it?
  6. Mate, I've been following your thread since page one! Awesome power and acceleration, putting the power down is a major problem. With some street slicks and boost I think you will be the quickest there. What about the cobra (love those cars!) Were you trying with him because it looked like he had the legs. That Evo f@ck me, 650hp in a car that weighs as much as a pack of smokes, he would get the jump most of the time due to the weight difference. Your car has inspired me to get a similar setup to yours. I want a GTX4294 twin gate setup from 6boost! I am sick of being muscled around in my BF LPG wagon by every Expensive Daewoo in Adelaide. Good luck with your future MEGA tune buddy! Cheers Alf

    Oh Dear

Geez that doesn't look good. It looks as if something has pushed against the turbine. I would change the oil in your engine straight away (maybe a flush). I would remove all the hoses and inspect to see how far the fillings have traveled. then obviously high pressure clean. Is your car under warranty still? I hope for your sake it is. Good luck mate Cheers Alf
  8. Awesome effort mate! Not far off being the quickest alot of people on here can only dream of having an awesome setup like yours! Keep pushing the barriers buddy. Cheers Alf
  9. Keep us posted on the results mate.
  10. GT3582 rated to 700hp (average 420rwkw from people on forum) GTX3582 rated to 750hp (equates to approx 450rwkw, 420 plus 50hp or 30kw. Would be god to get some real info if anyone has used these gtx turbos
  11. I meant GTX3582, damned keyboard.
  12. I have read on the GCG website that the GT3582 puts out more power due to the bearing design.
  13. you'd think the GTX3582 would need a better manifold with external gate to reach that power? Can the GTX3582 reach higher power figures than the GT3582? Whats the difference between the two turbos? Isn't the GTX3582 the same stock housing plus the addition of the TO4Z wheel? The TO4Z can only reach the mid 400's with T4 manifold how can the GTX3582 get to 500 with the stock maifold? was thinking of going a GTX4294 with twin 38mm gates but expense is obviously a factor so if I can reach my goal f 500rwkw for less money that would be unreal bang for your buck. Great thread very relevant to the majority of us turbo owners!
  14. Also look at the GT3792r which also bolts straight in.
  15. I have seen a black BA sedan built by CV performasnce with approx 355rwkw standard motor with slicks and front runners run a 10.6. it is very possible to run 10s with the 4 speed, I guess the set up is very important because of the lack of power.

    Fg F6 610 Rwkw

Fantastic set up mate, If I didn't have the hand brake holding me back I would have had my car back on the road 6 months ago! If you don't mind me asking what sort of outlay did your set up cost? Not being nosy just weighing up my options Cheers lf
  17. Mate that sounds insane! There are alot more xr6t's reaching and going beyond the 500 mark these days! I remember back in 06, 07 when 350rwkw was a huge achievement, now GT's are almost making that power stock! I need to step up the power by replacing my stuffed turbo and going a larger set up, only problem is I want a turbo that is not laggy and will punch out close to your power. I will watch your thread with interest, good luck mate and beat those porsches Cheers Alf
  18. Mate that sounds fantastic I would be happy with 400 to 500. Obviously after 500 gets very expensive. So the 4094 spools up faster then the T04Z, that is what I am looking for when does it come on boost? I know it depends on mods I have the PW gear (older street kit with plennum, 60lb injectors custom surge tank with single bosch 044, atomic bottom end you get the idea...) I need a turbo to come on boost no later then 2500 to 3000 would this turbo do that?
  19. So What's the best turbo for a manual T04Z, GTX42 or GT4094? I am wanting something similar but not laggy I have a manual.
  20. Don't all car yards give 3month warranties on second hand cars?
  21. This topic is very informative. Seems like the T04Z turbos (at least for the manuals) are the best street setup. I'm aiming for 450rwkw with the externally gated turbo and 6boost manifold. I have a built motor and process west plenum kit so there should be no reason why I can't crank up the boost to see what numbers I can punch out! With the built motor can more timing be fed in at lower rpm to give a more linear power delivery? Cheers Alf
  22. I would hang on to it as the car would have cenimental value. My turbo is also stuffed, if you pull the turbo off yourself and send away for a new core to be installed then your looking at $1250 plus $300 for upgraded braided oil lines. My bearing has gone in mine, pull the intake off and make sure there is no turbine rubbing on the housing. Good luck Alf
  23. They don't. I have gloss black BA 18's which do clear
  24. My turbo has the same problem, (bearing is stuffed). Try turning off the car and feeling the intake pipe whilst the turbo spins down. If there is a viabration and excessive noise, could be your bearing within the turbo.
  25. Hey mate, Saw your car last night! alot of wheel spin, sounded great. Was the whit F6 you were racing stock?
