  1. You can register LHD cars in SA but if they have any sort of modification they are denied. My father has a 1966 falcon coupe it had different wheels and a CD player and it got knocked back for that. I found a 1970 camaro with a 502 big block but a would have to convert it to RHD before rigstering it.
  2. What about USATOAUS.COM A bit more expensive though. I want to buy a 1970 Camaro but in Adelaide the car has to be completely standard if not converted to right hand drive. Also I have to off load my BA!! XR6T which is worth chicken feed these days toward my American muscle car.
  3. What is the record for the VL street driven turbo? Possible 7 for sure! What does it feel like to accelerate from stand still to 276km/hr in 8.4 seconds? The seat of the pants feeling would be amazing. You fully deserve the record obviously alot of time, stress and effort behind the scenes to iron out the gremelins. Cheers Alf
  4. WOW WOW WOW!! The XY looked fast but then your car shot past it like it was standing still. What time did the XY pull 10 something? Must be alot of dollars put into your car, the way it launches is awesome to witness. Good to see the title Back in NSW.
  5. Well done mate! Must go like a rocket, the ED is a fair bit lighter then the BA on wards.
  6. Love the video, get more videos!
  7. F*&%K ME that is insane fast. Well done to all involved, last time I saw your car run it was running very low 10's and looked impressive then.
  8. I think XYZ has a really good set up and not too laggy which most large turbos seem to have. Also talk with Kyle from 6 boost he will help you out with a good set up. Good luck
  9. great power mate! What does it feel like compared to 370rwkw? I am forced to go down your path as my turbo bearing is worn, may go GTX3582 with standard manifold for now and then later upgrade to 6 boost twin scroll T4 manifold. I am hoping for similar power to yours 410-420 then with manifold upgrade later hoping for 450.
  10. What about a GTX4202R with the 6 boost twin scroll manifold and twin external wastegates? One guy on here has that setup and is wrapped with it
  11. What if you take the intake pipe off the turbo and see if there is any rubbing between the turbo wheel and housing, check the oil line to the turbo aren't blocked. It may be an exhaust rubbing against the chassis, mine does that when cold (BA XR6T). Failing that make sure all manifold bolts are tight. If your car is still under warranty I would take it to Fords. Cheers Alf.
  12. what mods have you done mate?
  13. I thin the balance of the core would be out of wack if you pulled the blades off, they spin at a very high rpm so in my opinion I would not do that. Save the coin and get a replacement turbo core before driving your car otherwise you may do more damage. Good luck
  14. good point
  15. The insfucient diameter of the oil lines. There have been many blown turbos with worn out bearings due to not enough oil supply. Seems to be more of a problem at higher boost due to turbine spinning fster and needing more oil,. my 2c Alf
  16. If you pull the turbo out you would have to connect up the inlet and outlet water and oil lines other wise fluids would go everywhere. Just be patient my car has been off the road since April last year, pull the turbo out yourself save alot in labour.
  17. Our turbos are GT3540 you can use the GT3582 or GTX3582R cores.
  18. Hopefully no filings have gone into your motor I would flush your motor asap. I don't thin you can use your housing then but I am not a turbo builder just done some research like yourself. I pulled my turbo out last week, the most difficult part was removing the flexible oil return line underneath. the best way is to remove the turbo and manifold in one peice. Be careful when you disconnect the water lines as coolant will piss everywhere. Good luck mate cheers Alf
  19. Pull the turbo off your self its not that hard and you'll save heaps in labour! If your rear housing isn't damaged you can upgrade the front with a billet type wheel and reuse your old housing. This is what I may do still deciding, My bearings are noisy but there is no damage to the front and rear of the housing
  20. Are you using your standard turbo, rear housing and manifold? I think yours is an FG so will be different to my BA. What did you pay for the turbo?
  21. Let meknow what power you get with the GTX3582r. Not many people are using these turbos yet
  22. Funny as fark! Do you think it will be as responsive as the stocker?
  23. Mate top effort! I can't understand why the magazines can bearly manage flat 13's when the majority of the owners out there are running mid to high 12's. I know there are alot of external factors but wouldn't you think they would choose the right time to pull a good number? It's almost like they want the FPV's and HSV's to be close in quarter numbers?? VE HSV's which I've seen barely run flat 13's, FPV's far superior!!! Do you think you can push an 11.99? That would be porshe territory!! My 2 C's
  24. I was in the Navy for 10 years. Being away for 9 months on deployment! I know what you mean! Dont mean to go off topic, awesom wheels! I have 10.5" hiros on the back of mine with 275's, I might go back to the 9.5 rears as it is too much work to modify the guards for not much benifit. Also takes the look away from the traditiional shape. What about NOS that would see you well over 100hp on your current setup! 830hp is astonomical power, my piddly 500hp would be left in the weeds. Work hard play hard all the way mate
  25. Have to get me self a job up in the mines! My job pays
