  1. Looks like the outer gear shattered, causing the housing to fracture, the shrapnel from the the pump probably caused the timing chain to jam and snap. Don't quote me but I think there is enough clearance in the valves to piston for them not to contact, so valves maybe still ok, cam gear and cams probably damaged, maybe some damage to cam bearing surface head. Maybe metal throughout oil galleries and bearings. Sorry to hear this happen, I'm glad I have included a billet set of oil pump gears in my engine build. Give everyone a run down of what further damage you do find so people can see the full importance of the billet gears.
  2. Yes ford service does seem very ordinary. And I to would be annoyed with the smallest problem. But really listen to everyone, including the owner. The engine is gone ????? From what I have read it's still in the car, it's still running, it's been looked at by people that may have more idea then most on here. People on here are only guessing at what it could be but in realality even the most experienced mechanic could not locate the problem by the info given here. It needs a hands on evaluation. Maybe just a simple lifter gallery that's been clogged by some small assembly goo or manufacturing offcut that was missed when cleaning on assembly. And really on what we have read on here how does it differ from any other manufacturer. I have seen many lambo's catch fire as well as heard plenty of bad things about cars that cost more then 3 times what the falcon does. All of you saying that the i6 is better because it's a proven car, arnt we all forgetting how many problems it suffered, shutting down due to heat, rods breaking, turbos failing, diff bushes, f6 clutch, oil pump gears, oil leaks, coils etc eta eta. It's got diff oil leak, pretty sure it's still exact same diff used in the f6 and probably same seal as used in BA taxi or earlier that probably is the part causing the leak. In all until we find out what is exactly wrong with his car we can't speculate. Also there is always 2 sides to every story. For a car with a all alloy multi cam multi valve supercharged hi tec engine under $100g I still think it is a awesome buy and package. Not to mention the quality of the engine design and materials used. Name a better 4 door 5 seat car under $100g Good luck cranny hope this is sorted very soon for you so you can get on with enjoying your car. Hope Ford is following this thread and they start giving some answers to the service history problems many are providing.
  3. Everyone should book there car in for a big job, try get him to order in some big dollar parts and just before it's time to drop car off call and tell him you got a better offer elsewhere. Best to just phuck him around for the next 12mths or whatever it takes to either make him go insane or close shop. Repeatly call and keep him tied up on the phone so he can't get work done (I mean destroy other people's cars). Put warning signs up around his business. Good luck
  4. Do you have to fit one of these autometer tach adapters to run the eboost2. Or is it required only if you want to set varied boost per rpm. I'm just looking at running micro switches on shifter lever setting lower boost in 1-3. Would like to know for when I set mine up, if say I run it with varied boost per gears how Do you get around AFR's staying correct on factory Ecu. Eg with higher boost in 4-5 gear I will require to more fuel and when it's running less boost in the lower gears it will be running rich because of it. Is there a boost compensator in the tune that can be set to correct the different levels of boost. What are the autometer adaptors worth.
  5. Car Found by guy on Boostcruising who seen it parked on side of road on his way to work. lots of damage though, took sub, amp, rear speakers,Go Via tag and get this took my sons booster seat cloths wife had in a green bag, everlast sunshade that had hot babe in boxing gear on it. Cant beleive they took them, left the sony head unit & a pa siren thing. Police should have plenty of evidence, and get this they parked it right in line of a security camera from St Vinnies accross the road. Hope they get the scum. Thanks all for keeping a eye out. Will keep all posted with insurance and whatever else happens.
  6. been running CI twin in mine, no problems, works great. broke conrod pulled car apart, did show signs of slippage, but probably from me stupidly connecting both vac and pressure lines to waste gate(Progate 50) which gave me full boost as gate would not of opened. And would of been making huge power as running TO4z setup. it was instant opposite lock 3rd gear at 90 no fanning clutch just WOT. never noticed any slippage but theres evidence it had. Maybe me riding clutch at lights could also attributated and just remembered one run at track where I rode clutch to much off the line, and got it hot and slipped. Recovered fine after it next run. Once I finally finish my engine build its going back in but may change to button plates. Ive heard good from both brands, but just keep asking to get views of both. Also those Nick twins are reputable too from what I have heard. Good luck
  7. Thanks Freeze, very appreciated. Heres some pictures as well
  8. Please help us locate my daughters black R33 coupe, reg 932 msp. It's a 96 series 2 with 17" chrome mags, x- force exhaust, Has custom fiberglass sub box with new clarion sub and amp. Was in near perfect condition and hope it is still if we get it back. This is my daughters first car, and she is very upset Over it. So if anyone can help please do. It was stolen from Murrajong street springwood QLD Between 8.20am - 5.30pm. I will try to get some pictures up later.
  9. Matt is very good, he helped me get started with tuning my own car. Was always there to talk me through with tuning related matters even Didn't mind talking while he was at track day he was competing in. I tried everywhere to get the racer pro tuning package but because capa had there Hands all over the sct software no one could offer it to me. Anyway contacted Matt and he delivered. Very nice guy and willing to help.
  10. F#%k orsm I want one Can't believe there's no heat from the cops running it on the streets. Could you imagine I'd FPV did that.
  11. When I first got my T every now and then when I started it it would shake real bad no throttle response to clear it and the engine light would come on. Was tuned by a supposedly reputable tuner, I started tuning it myself and have never had problem again. Sounds similar to yours but mine only ever did it on a cold start. Another thing I had experienced is when a cat breaks up your car can run perfect one minute then like a pig the next due to where and which way the membrane is sitting. A EF XR6 I had years ago. I had checked everything from sensors through coils, fuel pump, filters and could not believe the cat was the cause. Got so bad it could not even do the speed limit. Under it checking the coil pack etc, gave the cat a thud and sure enough it rattled. Dropped the engine pipe started it, few revs and it was all good. Removed cat and the guts fell out on the ground in pieces. Problem solved. Another thing to check is your turbo line filter as if it is blocked the turbo will get hot and can seize, hope this isn't your problem as very costly. The filter seems to get forgotten about when serviced. Pending quality of oil and service intervals the filter can clog anywhere from 50 000k to 80 000k. If you check it yourself get a bright led to shine through it as it's the best way to view how badly clogged it is, and if you try cleaning it you can see if you actually have done so successfully. Be very careful as it is a $60 part that is small and very fragile. Best to fit a braided aftermarket filter line kit as it's alot easier to access to service every oil change. Search the forum as there is a guide somewhere on how to remove the filter. Good luck with it,
  12. Mates old f6 made 780rwhp with GT45 and has not broken the t56. I run a TO4z and have not had any problems and know of others with over 400rwkw and have not had any problems. You will be safe
  13. You want it to be as smooth as possible as the sintered iron oil pump gears Will probably smash themselves to pieces. You want deep sound fit a 3.5 - 4 system on it. Or illegally dump it at the diff. But whatever you intend doing will more then likely require a retune weather keeping The factory cat or not. The center muffler on these cars are the biggest restriction so even just removing it Will affect boost and AFR (air Fuel Ratio). Just live with the characteristics of the turbo 6 silent but deadly not like a all noise no go gen 3 v8. If you still want go risk smashing the oil pump gears you could have your car tuned with the VCT locked so it gives you the lumpy idle.
  14. No wonder why gmh are always out selling with a inferior product. It's ford service that wrecks Ford name. I would go directly to head office with your complaint as dealing with the same dealer Won't fix future shafting of others. You could also go get a quote from another company of what needs fixing and get them to go right over it and send HO and the dealer a copy and demand for it to be fixed or legal action will follow. You will find that the shutter rough idle and in drive will be a coil failing as they are comon once they have done over 80 000k's and even worst if the car has been tuned as it's the heat that kills them. As soon as your warranty runs out change to a reputable service company. Good luck.
  15. Go a X-force 3.5 they work well and don't have a drone problem. Never been one to like spiting the exhaust flow as in twin 2.5. 3" def to small.
  16. If you go with a 20 series you should be even able to get a 265 under it. By going with a 255x30x20 becareful as the tyre height may be a little high and will make it illegal. I run 265x30x19's which here in QLD the tyre shops told me is just legal on width and height. I wanted 275's but they would not fit them as it's illegal for them to do so, that's what I was told.
  17. I run 265x30x19's and I found them very good dry and wet, never a sign of aqua planning, great mileage. Mind you at over 15psi with a TO4z setup they have met there match. I ran crap nangkangs prior and the difference was just amazing when I changed. Can't understand why berzerker you say they aqua plane in wet as I drive my car very hard and have done like 120-140 in very heavy rain where other cars would slow to like 60 on freeway. Always run rainx so have no vision problems and never had any sign of aqua planning. I also buy mine from st George but the 19's are a bit more expensive??? Still cheaper then buying from any tyre shop here locally. I checked heaps of reviews and the best I found where a mitchelin and 3 others bridgstone f1's, yokahama advan & the Proxy's. The mitchelins where like $1000 each, the F1's by memory where $700 each and both the proxy and advan's where under $500 each. I ended paying $720 del to QLD for the proxy's and scored the advan's locally off eBay for $300 pair. The Advan where a better steer tyre so I bought them for the front and the proxy's had better traction straight line. Maybe that I run Pedders coil over front and sports rear along with whiteline 27mm front bar as well AP racing brakes, my car feels so good with turn in and power down, with all complimenting each other. Plus being a t56 manual may make some difference. Also I'm getting over twice the k's out if the proxy's as opposed to those crap nangkangs. Next tyres will be a semi slick though as once new engine goes in and I start pushing 20+psi I doubt any street tyre will bite. Dags and berzerker since you have found them to be not so good in your views what have you both changed to and a bit more info so I can see if they may be of benefit to me. Heard you have to scrub semi slicks everytime after you drive on them, so don't really want to do that every day after work. Need something more user friendly but can cope with over 450rwkw and street legal. Pre my to4z had a stock ve SS beat me till 3rd as fighting wheelspin 1-2 with the nangkangs then shortly after with the proxy's ran a guy on a triumph rocket 3 from 2 sets of lights and beat him both runs so the proxy's can't be to bad. Also I did gave a bit of axle tramp at first but it was caused by the tyres biting hard squatting the rear onto it's bump stops. Once I cut the bump stops down it solved the axle tramping.
  18. PLX industries do a wifi obd11 to iPhone. Under $200 US. I think you can data logue it as well and has heaps of features. When I have spare cash I'm going to get one. Think Innovate also do one as well to link to the iPhone. Think you can get them for android phones as well.
  19. Showing asian work Mate how good the Falcons are, dam that Supra running quicker pass. Where always arguing over what's faster and best street car Falcon or Jap. Shut him with the Campo vids of AU Fastest turbo car being a Ford. Is the GTech car still street reg, Imagine picking him at set of lights. Hit 2nd and it be where the F*^k did he go. Weather it be him disappearing in the distance or being engulfed in tyre smoke. Can't wait to see a full light weight drag Turbo Falcon run! Even better with the Coyote V8.
  20. You are not going to beleive this, check out his latest scam Once you read it I dont really need to explain. Someone needs to lock this freak up. 21. Can't seem to find the change to mobile version after I change to full version. Like the mobile version for reading & replying to threads, change to full when look at classifies. Since using the iPhone, can't access site on my work pc as it crashes after a few seconds. Yet I'm using wifi from work on iphone for Internet with no problems and don't have 3G issue with connecting whenever I can get access with this pathetic virgin mobile service. Another thing I hate is the dam spell feature, changes words to stupid words, I have to start checking my spelling before posting. No edit to fix after in mobile version. Maybe my fat fingers some times hitting the wrong key. Have had few problems trying to scroll what I have typed and when adding a photo link it auto scrolls up and doesn't do anything. Not complaining as in general it's good, just hope imy imput helps with ironingout the bugs. Can't wait for the app.
  22. Here's a picture of mine when I was running single PLX and two Autometer Cobalts. The Cobalts where fantasic gauge and blended very well, easy to read. Becareful with some of those stepper gauges as they are very hard to read as the numerals are small. The Drift gauges are very nice and easy to view. The PLX ones are fantastic but not cheap. they are a oled monitor, very thin so can be fitted easily not like some others. You can run up to 4 sensors per monitor. Has numerous features like min and max hold, warnings, analog, digital, bar graph, splatter graph and custom screens. You can set any picture as background as long as it's cropped at correct size. Change displayed colours etc. Other options as well but better off googling website and having a read. The picture I have set on gauge is Jessical Alba. Pretty cool huh. I'm now running two of them and have a empty pod as sold the Cobalts. May trade for a FPV pod as since the PLX can run 4 sensors each I won't require To run a 3rd gauge. I'm running, oil pressure, and Wideband O2 and want to fit a Eboost2 on pillar. I will eventually add more sensors to mine like Turbine speed, Turbo oil temp, fuel pressure. They also have a wifi OBD11 reader that can show perimeters on gauge monitor or iPhone. It is able to read whatever the ecu is enabled to read. Not 100% on it best to contact them for info. If you are running 3 gauges, the ones I reckon to run are Oil Pressure, WB O2, and Boost. Engine water temp is covered by dash cluster. Oil pressure is very important as is Boost as don't want low oil pressure or over boost. The WB O2 to monitor AFR's as fuel pumps start to die, or filters clog, you may start leaning your engine and you won't even know it. As well keeps your tuner honest as you will be able to tell if you have any lean or rich points.
  23. Don't think you would have any issues with cooking the brakes
