  1. Ok here goes. In my opinion I think Ford Australia are going to cut back on support to V8 supercars for same reasons Pirtek and Betta electrical have pulled out on sponsorship. Ambrose gets shafted big time at Bathurst with the balacrava penality to try stop him from winning, if that was not a good enough reason murph takes him out as he still would have won even after the bogus penality and it all gets brushed aside as a racing incidence. Ambrose loses championship because of there rule making and gmh's cheating ways. Pirtek leaves. Lowndes gets taken out by *beep* kelly (talks like a girl, even has a girls last name) Championship is now held by a little maggot who couldn't even win a round in the 2006 championship even with all the help of the two teams working together illegally and owned by the one owner. Betta leaves. Ford have said they are going to cut back on support due to poor performance of teams (I think real reason is the fact of the unfair playing field being dished out To Ford Teams is more the reason). Avesco, Cams, Tega whoever takes the bribes please stop taking bribes from gmh as what could be a great sport will eventually go down the toilet (place where you can get your brand new dunnydore ). I think us Ford fans should start up a protest or all chip in some money to help out bribe gmh at there own game (I think if everyone could help out by giving one million dollars we may get a few bogus penalities go our way ) What if we sponsored a team just to go out and take out the lead dunnydore so we could win Bathurst and the v8 Championship . How about letting the dunnydores have only 9.6% the down force the falcon has, like how they made the AU disadvantaged 16kg frontal down force to dunnydores 60kg. I don't know if Iam going to continue watching this one side championship which is such a shame as I have heard of other people thinking like wise and which will hurt support for the Ford teams out there as less fans on the blue side means less support to blue side. Its going to happen again like back with the EB ED Falcons kicking but and CAMS does everything possible to slow the Falcons down, smaller brakes, takes Ford aero away and lets dunnydore use, lets HRT use illegal parts etc etc. Prior to V8 supercars gmh where about how fast Ford and nissan where That they made up a new catorgory they could have a chance at winning. They are still about letting Ford use Modular engines and other brands joining the sport. This time around its let gmh have combined race data by running two teams. When is this crap going to end and we get a fair playing field or is this not possible as Ford make a far surperior product and if all is fair gmh would never win which will loose spectators as it will be dominated by Ford. Is this the reasons why Ford keeps getting shafted? What is everyone else's feelings on this?
  2. Sit at a desk drawing picture's all day every weekday. Not as fantastic as it seams but still better than lots of other jobs. CAD - Computor Aided Drafting. Iam currently drafting up land contours but wish It was engineering design as land contours are very boring and don't give much of a challange. Iam currently doing a job I started in the morning for a client who is doing lots of extentsions, his land comprises of a 180m² pool, full size tennis court, huge shed, House I have not measured up yet but is about size of tennis court and getting near doubled with it's add ons this is all on a 35 000m² lot with paved pathways & stairs everywhere, retaining walls everywhere, it almost looks like a retirement village. I think I may have it completed tomorrow, this would be the largest job I have had to do so far on a land contour. Don't you just pitty these poor people who have to live in these poverty situations. Maybe one day the owner may be able to purchase a decent home.

    Yeh we got beat by the wheels car of the year which has already had two recalls. If only everything was as how they come from factory, GMH wouldn't even finish a race. I read a while back with the production races that the crummy was able to use after market conrods and pistons as the oem units weren't durable enought to cope and that they would not finish a race. . The Ford was unable to do same as they said the Ford internals are quite cabable of standing up to the rigors of racing. If only the public was aware of all the things that GMH do to win a race. How great has the crummy been over the last 10 years with its 21 recalls. I think Ford Australia hasn't beat that record even if you count the recalls since Ford started in Australia. Ford will always have to fight to win as long as GMH get to dictake the rules. Come on Multi team ownerships, better aero packages, alloy engine blocks, allowed illegal suspension components, weight penalities, racing room penalities, crossing the little yellow line penality, balacrava penalities, murph & *beep* kelly take em outs etc etc. What do we know of the aero package just look at the AU frontal difference 16kg to 60kg crummy front, how ridiculious. I though the extra gurners lip (the one attached to boot lid under rear wing)was for the gmh cars only till they where up to speed on the Ford R&D on the new engine style, have they still got it as I didn't notice on the weekend. It wouldn't surprise me if they are allowed to run a power adder to help them beat Ford. Why can't Ford use current motor as it can fall nicely into 5.0l catagory. Wah wah wah poor gmh would cry as they don't know to build a reliable pushrod v8 little than a hi tech quad cammed piece of engineering like the Ford master piece. Just my 2 cents PS I have heard that the engine blocks in the gmh cars are a Ford windsor style block as the same with heads , I think there was either higher roof ports or larger valves allowed for gmh cars at start of blueprint. The engine was moved back to same location as Ford engine and front suspension set up also from Ford. Not to certain on the ve with what changes have happened.
  5. CAUTION I removed mine today and found little buildup, cleaned it and it looked spotless. I then checked it by shinning a bright led light through it, and found that 3 quarters of it was clogged up still. Then I preceded to use compressed air and got it about 3 quarters clean, the last bit would not budge. I fitted new o rings to filter element as old ones had gone rock hard and this is where I had another problem as when sliding in the new o rings fowled with step down diameter where filter sits causing me to damage my fitler (man rrrrr *#^), and yes I lubed o rings before sliding it in. This also was on saturday after midday, ford closed. So what Iam saying is if you don't have access to a compressor and something to disolve any carbon grit buildup don't even bother doing it. You need to be able to see through it or oil won't flow through. Shine the light through from outside & view filter internally for light, if any black spots that will be dirt. Ford at springwood QLD had Quoted me $64 for new filter. I also found it easier to remove air box and access from top not under car as to many things in way.

  7. Hi I would like to know where I can purchase a alloy or Stainless Steel Radiator header tank to suit my 2003 may XR6 Turbo. I have only seen the PWR units and they look great. Somebody on Ebay is selling them for $345 plus postage with no radiator cap, is this a good price or can I get one somewhere else cheaper? It doesn't have to be polished but I would want welds as good as the PWR version. I would prefer to be able to pick up Brisbane to 150klm radius but would consider purchase via COD if picture's of finished unit are emailed to me. No back yard jobs unless they are equil in quality to the PWR tank.
  8. what is the big problem with spinning your wheels from a stand still at low speed, its not like you are going to hurt anyone unless you are sideways pointing wrong direction. Its just a excuse to raise revenue. Why don't they raise revenue by fineing idiots who sit in the right hand lane holding everyone up. They would make a killing on that.
  9. One of my friends told me about this guy who he works with. He purchased this gen 3 ss, at around 30 000k's engine died, had it replaced under warranty, next engine used oil so he returned it to which they honed and re-ringed, it still used excessive oil so returned again, this time they pulled it down and they found bores to be oblong and not true, this was why it was using oil. They decided to give him a new higher output motor which as far as I know is still going. But get this he got pulled over by the police who found no engine number, they impounded the car till all checked out and he was made to stamp a QLD DOT engine # on it. I would hate for him to try explain to the person he sells car to, how come it doesn't have original engine? Poor bugger. The person who bought up F6 clutch problem would that be the only recall for Ford in the last 10 years or are there others I have not heard about. Anyway the cluch was not a Ford factory made part it was designed & manufactured by one of the worlds best clutch manufacters in the world. If you are holding this against Ford I think you need to get it right. From what I read about the whole issue I feel Ford did very well with all the investigating of the course and the fix for the problem. gmh last 10 years about 23 recalls.
  10. Come on guys the gmh product can't be all that bad its only had 21 recalls in 9 years from vt-vz and 2 on the new one. I don't agree with people on here who say FORD is just as bad. How many recalls has ford had in the last 10 years. 2000 - 2003 I used to work for QLD's largest gmh parts warehouse and I can tell you that nearly every week we would get batches of rings, pistons & conrods and not to mention powersteer racks. I asked the hsv manger why to which he said that the imported gen 3 has poor machining tolences that's why we receive batches of these parts nearly every week. I have seen how gmh looks after its customers and can tell you customer support is not very good. You guys that have had problems with your Fords tell me this is it genuine or is it because you have up the output of your car and are having driveline failures and expecting Ford to fix it. Ford have sold you a great Quality product that will in my opinion out last a equivilent gmh product. I have always been a Ford person and Iam happy with every Ford I have owned which is more than the amount of fingers I have. Also I used to work at few petrol stations and from time to time I would ask customers how they are liking their car. Never had a bad comment from a Ford owner. I did get quite a few from ghm owners, one that stands out is this guy with a monaro, when I asked he said he has had nothing but problems with it. I asked him what sort of problems. He replied where do you want me to start ,gearbox, engine, diff etc. I replied oh ok that bad huh. He said yep. I left it at that as didn't want to get his blood boiling. Others weren't this bad like clutch, crewman hard cover not shutting properly, oil consumstion, rear tyres scrubbing out (this I know gmh made a adjustment kit for) Get this did you know that you can't bore a gen 3 Late model camira alloy block more that 10 thou. I feel sorry for these people on that show as how do they know what they are buying after you hear crap like the crummy getting car of the year even though it has already been recalled for fuel pump fires and rear seat belts pulling out. If you arn't happy with your Ford sell it and move on. Don't bag it. Just my 2 cents

    Upgraded Brakes

    Hi everyone Urgent as not much pad left and don't want to waste money on new replacements. Just would like to know if anyone has Koya Race Teh 19x9 and 19x8's fitted to there BA-BF with upgraded brake calipers? They look like they have a good amount of room for caliper and Iam wanting to fit Brembo 4 or 6 pot calipers with matching disks to suit. Don't want to get caught having to resell them or change my wheels as I really like my wheels. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone is near Brisbane southside and doesn't mind me taking measurements would be orsm. Please PM if you can allow me to do these measurements. Ps I don't want to remove anyones wheels to do measurements but if you have no objections to you or I removing them this would make it easier.
  14. Hi everyone I would like to know where in Brisbane southside, I can purchase a decent exhaust? I would like to keep it stealth from the cops by keeping factory heat shields. Iam currently thinking of RDP's exhaust but having to take it there and be without a car till its all fitted and re-tuned is not what Iam wanting to do at this stage. The other is CES but don't like the $2850 price tag. I like the price that other people have been quoting for the X-Force 4" dump 3.5" SS system but have so far been unable to communicate with them and one of the distributors. I don't mind if its a supply only system as I can fit it myself on weekend. Or if I can have it supplied & fitted on a Saturday would be good. Car is XR6T 2003 may manual sedan. Currently has nispro valve springs, higher flow rate fuel pump & injectors, Capa flash & will soon be fitting a monza upgrade original fit intercooler. Yes it has a Excede Clutch and HD gearbox drive shafts.
  15. They are orsm. The first time I saw one was as I was under full braking after having a tough run against a BF XR6 (I was in my black AUII XR8 manual stock) and approaching traffic lights. It was sitting opposite intersection and though for sure that they would u-turn and have me, someone must of been looking after me as they didn't. Man I nearly sh*t myself thinking there goes my licence.

    One Less Tooth

    When was about 22 yo had sists around wisdoms, dentist had to remove. The first one was very painfull as if the injection didn't work, the dentist removed tooth with about 1" of jaw bone then decides to send me for xray. Came close in removing that dentist teeth my way. Last year had a moler & root canal removed felt real sorry for female dentist as it took over 21/2 hours to remove this tooth & root canal no sh*t, any way the head male dentist had to come in and take over as she was not strong enough and had no energy left in her near end. That took forever to heal and for pain to stop.
  18. Only quoting what CES in QLD has stated with their 3.5" dump with seperate wastegate pipe and 3.5" single exhaust. They claim that on a totally stock xr6t with no flash tune or any other mods their exhaust is able to produce a 41rwkw increase. I have seen this exhaust in person and it looks very good but is $2850. If this is true than that is a good power increase. I have also seen magazine pages they have laminated from zoom mag showning this being done plus further upgrades from there. The car that had this exhaust on it made 203rwkw before exhaust was fitted.
  19. I sent xforce a email over a week ago asking for info on their exhaust and price delivered to Brisbane and have still not received anything from them, maybe they don't want my money. I also tried web site with no luck as it gave me only their contact numbers. I would like to see the design and finish of flange's and welds. There is a new guy on ebay which is advertising a SS 4" dump with 3.5" system for $1850. If I dont get a response soon from xforce I may buy from this ebay guy.

    Back in younger days did the scary 200 plus on recaps as well in my old 6 tc corty, People said I was crazy but get this never had one let go right down to bald. Only used them on rear. However had a 75% bridgestone supercat throw its tread at 160 putting large dint approx 250mm in rear sill and black tyre marks over rear quarter ,pillar & door. Felt like diff was falling out scarry. These speeds where done under full controlled enviroment in my driveway.
  21. Count me in if they will be compatible and fit correctly and there is a discount on muliple purchase. I will have 3 if you can do centre pod that holds 3 or 2 for factory pod. Just let me know when you have them and what final cost would be on buying multiple gauges and if can supply pods. Is there a pillar pod that holds 3 gauges to suit the BA-BF? If so how much are they?
  22. Me to. Mine is supposed to be excede but don't know if flywheel is lightened version. Other than that rattle its orsm at holding 275rwkw. Find it a bit embarrassing in neutral, will try a better lube to see if helps.

    Reference to maloo, I know of heaps of cheats gmh have done in past but won't go there as will make this thread to long. I doubt that maloo was as factory standard. And if ford removed limiter on f6 ute I would think it would easily surpass maloo record. 220 ish tc cortina 250 crossflow 4 speed 2.92:1 gears 235x60x14 tyres doing 6200rpm as not enough grunt to push gears any further, would pull 7000 rpm in first 3 gears. 280 ish 351 toploader,3.00:1 gears 245x60?x14 tyres doing 7000rpm. On one occassion slowly creaped away from a 90-91 gsx1100r from 120 to valve bounce. It would cherp tyres at 170/180 changing into top gear everytime. 240 txr telstar turbo 88 model 2.2 intercooled 12valve 5speed with exhaust and intake mods backed off as never had been in small this fast and was worried for safty, it ended up damaging fifth gear syncro(kept jumping out of gear) shortly after so never got to try again, fixed box day I sold it. 220 ish td cortina 351w auto 3.7:1 gears, 225x60x15 tyres 6000rpm valve bounce XY GT replica 12.3 et's 113mph 7300rpm never ever tried for top speed as it ran 4.11:1 gears and didn't have much more in it than 113mph with only a few hundred rpm up its sleeve. 240 passenger to female driver in BA GT & my women spoilt fun telling her to back off. 220 back to back in my new BA XR Turbo 5speed, not sure on car at moment to push any further, It got there very quickly and felt very stable but only felt like it was doing 140 ish which worried me as it was actually doing alot more and that not knowing car I decided to back off then as I reached about 150 I decided to try again getting back to 220 a chickening out again. I have defently lost the balls I had when a bit younger. Nispro valve springs, HD gearbox shafts, excede clutch, larger injectors, center muffler removed & capa flash edit. Been told by previous owner who sold it as he needed money to fix termite damage to his house (poor bugger) supposed to have 275rwkw. Of all these cars the is still my most thrilling ride I had as it use to give me one hell of a addrenalin rush when giving it a hard time. The XR6T being my next as it is so close in grunt, once I do the exhaust and intake mods it may swing to the XR6T but still un sure if I would try beating 280 from the . PS 862 kph in a factory standard maloo ute Hay could be possible if dropped from plane. All this was done on my friends race track

Like make it last saturday of the month. If interested give your views. While us car nuts talk car our partners can take our children to park and talk what ever they want while kids play. So if anyone's up for it I'll be down there 6pm waiting if no one turns up by 7pm I'll just take family into surfers for awhile. I have a naroomba blue XR6t sedan with race tek mags. Hope to see some of you there.
  25. Hi Guys I have had a bit of a look through forum trying to find relevant info with no luck. I would like to know if anyone could tell me what I would need to have sat nav on my 2003 xr6t premium screen? Please don't say fat wallet go to ford. Autobarn tried selling me all this stuff that added up to $1400 needed to be fitted somewhere with about 200x150x50mm room and wired up to another unit then to my premium system.the perks where you can plug up xbox,monitors and other things Iam not interested in. Is there there something that will just plug in and work and fit under dash?
