Carefull make sure you don't have to start behind a Gen 3 powered crummy. I did the other day and after that my car started to get very dusty after 3 days it looked like I had been rally driving and wiped a bit off with my finger to witch I found it was oily. The bonnet, roof, boot lid and part of the front tops on the gaurds and rear quarters where only places affected. I would have been behind this sh*tter no more than 5 seconds before going around him like he was sitting still, but it still covered my car that bad. It was a red vx ss club with gaurd damage on front, looked like about twin 3" tail tips bloody loud, to point I he would get defected easily.

Fat Tony spot on with your comments. If you have never owned a hi po FWD car you would not know how they react to cornering. I have owned a mildly tickled 88 mod Ford tx5 telsta turbo 2.2l 18v 5spd with exhaust and intake mods. These not jap but kiwi telsta's could pull 240 kph stock from factory. I beat a few ss's ,wrx's & silvia's with this car. At same time my younger brother had a tx3 4wd turbo laser with same mods plus a little more than std boost, he would pull about 4 car lenghts on me on the start because of trackion problems but once over 60kph I would pass and leave him sitting , come to corners don't even bother as I learnt my lesson real quick when I first bought it, It decided to head for a big hard solid power pole, :oohwoah: . It's torque steer would have you taking up a lane and half. But hay what size tyre's they running on it, with 700 diameter and 400 tread width they might just go all right. They will need a 200kw power steer pump to power the steering though. They will regret this car as you would have to be stupid to purchase it. In my opinion who ever made this decission to build a 250kw fwd will face a firing squad once it shows poor selling ability . Have you ever looked into a v6 fwd engine bay, not much room, hate to see there turbo set up, you won't even have room to make mods. Then there is heat problems with cramped engine bays. Can't wait to pass one sideways while he's heading for the pole with his torque steer.

ORSM wish I was there, could get any better, man should have got a photo of his face when you told him it was stock. I had similar thing Sunday on wont say road, this guy in his tricked up wrx comes up beside me and I give it a bit of throttle and ease off as car in front of me, to which he has a laugh then gets into it, I nailed it pulled in to his lane and had to hit brakes not to give him a rear ender then pull along side. he gets off it and slows, I yelled out to him not fast enough mate. He lost that laugh very quickly. He who has last laugh, laughs hardest. Wish had been a new 307kw hsv though or atleast a gmh product.

What do you mean by data logging? Does it give read outs of how car is running / or run? I have heard from one shop who had one and showed it to me, I asked about its feature's how you can adjust fuel and ignition to which his reply was that they are all extra's to the unit that you have to pay for and does not come with it. He didn't tell me though how much the extra's where. So is he correct or just having a go at me, trying to make money on me? I would like to purchase one of these if it does come with the ability to adjust fuel and ignition so when you get a bad batch of fuel you can adjust to suit and back again when fuel is right. Also be able to make adjustments with each little mod. This same guy I asked him about the seimens 660cc injectors to which he said that he had problems trying to get duty cycle low enough on a 600hp flywheel car and said it would not work on my aim of 350rwkw as it would fuel up and run rich. Sorry if I have hi jacked in anyway but these questions may also help in your quest to purchase one.

Ford spec different box's but is it because of different ratio's or is there stronger larger parts in them. I think it would just be the different ratio's as why would they design a gearbox in different strength from one to another unless there was money to be saved, EG larger imput shaft may only cost a extra $1 each for one that is 10mm larger in diameter. Look back with the borg warner 4 speed back in mid to late 70's that was fitted to everything from 6cyl to 351 v8 and it still had same internals except I think there may have been a few ratio options. It would be good if a gearbox expert could let us all know what and it there are difference's and what may be best suited for our modified cars. If anyone has a good 6 speed manual that suits XR6T please PM me prefer brisbane to gold coast purchase.

Is there really a difference in the turbo/v8 6 speed manual to n/a. I don't think ford would design two specs of gearbox's strength wise when it would cost same to make unless they choose better quality material or had strenghtening done to components. They are not going to tool up for two different versions. The only difference I have heard of is that Turbo gets different gearing to v8, don't know about the n/a. I have heard in the past of no difference between models but they have had different gearing between v8 & 6. The gtho received a larger imput shaft (bullnose toploader) which was a gearbox already designed and made to suit the Boss 429 Mustangs and big block F trucks. Things have changed alot since the GTHO days and maybe they do design and manufacture gearbox's of different power ratings. That's my opinion and I may be wrong would be good to know answers to this. I may be interested in that box if you do sell, PM me details when you decide on price and if you are selling. I will also need what ever to do change from 5sp to 6sp.

Adam how could it be better for the sport when hrthsv are allow to do what they please to win. Tega need to have a good look at the fan base instead of taking bribes from hrthsvgmh to allow them to get away with it all. Iam quite sure there are other gmh teams in the sport that would like to have same rules applied to them as hrthsv so they to can be competitive. Than on the other hand I suppose it is good for the sport as if hrthsv where under the same rules as everyone else there would be no competion form gmh and all Expensive Daewoo fans would not come to the races as they may not even get a Expensive Daewoo in the top 5 positions or more realistic top 10. Who has been the only teams to put the race to Ford for the last 3 to 4 years, don't worry don't need to answer that one do I. I would prefer hrt / hsv both to be there in the race but be under the same rules as everyone else and not be able to pay off tega to have there advantage. Iam sorry to say but tega has lost all its credability with this decision. Not even the slightest of penalities applied . Maybe I should not be so harsh on them as what hrthsv have done is nowhere near as bad as Lowndes jumping the kerb to avoid a accident and being penalised before given the chance to correct placing or Ambrose being penalised for not wearing his balacrava. Man didn't Lowndes and Ambrose get off light on those one's I will also add that there is a group of 8 people including self, that all meet for every V8 round and attend local rounds that have all said that they are not bothering to have anymore to do with the v8 series after this . We have the numbers to form a indoor cricket team so may start doing that instead. I hope hrthsvgmh havn't got there hands in that sport to.

Finanial agreement isn't that a bribe? How can they allow this . How unjust & bias is the rules. If it had been FPV & Stone Brothers they would have been stripped of all race / round wins and been fined, penalised with no testing allowed for the next 50 years, start from rear of grid every race for 100 years. Bit over the top on there but hay it might as well be that way. So does this mean Ford teams can do like wise until found out and then pay Tega $5 to make everything right once found out. Will also not be penalised in anyway. Will agree with Tega keeping a close eye on them so if they do it again they can get another $5 in there pocket. Had enough will not watch v8 superholden championship until I have heard of hrthsv being penalised for there cheating ways. I hope We get a good number of people here that agree that TEGA need to stop there bias decissions and show how much it would hurt the fan count. If anyone has any links to be able to spread this throughout other Ford forums that would be benificial to the cause. Even if we could start a poll up on it even better. Who's with me on this?

Scam or person owe's $100 000 on it and trying to hand the debt over which would be still a scam. These people think they can scam others as people have heard of great deals from disgruntelled wife's selling the hubby's ferrari for $2 & think this is possible. If they are this stupid and don't even check the vehicle out or have a trustworthy person from location of vehicle to check it prior to handing over there money well they deserve to be ripped, at least they won't do it again (wait I could be wrong, I supose if they are that stupid they may do it again). Ebay and its scams, I have been caught myself as purchased a FPV cluster from a seller which was described as a FPV cluster as well as picture's, and the seller sends me a XR cluster in place of it. No good to me as I already have a XR one fitted to my XR6T. So if anyone wants it, it is brand new 0 k's and I only want my money back on it. PM if interested. Located south of Brisbane.

Wasn't worried about organising a cruise just though I'd post this up as having to visit grandmother down at Currumbin and though might as well drop in to broadwater on the way back home to try catch up with anyone. Iam a Browns Plains resident so am not actually from Gold Coast so can't drop in to chat with Goldie or anyone else during the week and my weekends are usually booked out by the wife. Just asking as have the oportunity to do it this Saturday night.

Dam I didn't think that would happen, I really thought HRT HSV would be banned for the first lap but allowed to continue racing after that as it is only a minor breach of the rules, it's not as if they committed speeding in pit lane now is it. We all need to tell TEGA what we think of there . Bring back production car racing and don't let TEGA,avesco or cams anywhere near it. How much weight does gmh have in these decissions. All Ford teams take note, You are allowed to combine together and run as per one team sharing all data and drivers until you are found out. Don't worry as you won't get even a drive through penality from doing so. It works both ways don't it no you will get banned for life and have to wash gmh toilets as punishment. Its all just a big joke. So who's watching hrthsv win the next round.

Just wanting to know if anyone is heading to Gold Coast , Broadwater carpark Saturday night 17th March. Wouldn't mind meeting other like mined car nuts like self. I will be there in my Naroomba Blue XR6T plates 01TXR so if see me come over for chat. Just behave though as have heard cops are on the prowl with undercover cops posing as car nuts (yeh I know it happens all the time regularly) Just mentioning it as don't want anyone having to face there crap. I havn't decided on time I 'll be there but would say around 7pm -9pm.

I like using Havoline as Stone brothers use off the shelf and its good enough for them its good enough for me. Iam using 5w-40w full syn and compaired to what ever was in it when I purchased it it sounds quieter and seems to have more push. Havoline is one of the cheaper syn as well on the market. I was originally going to try Mobile one until Denialla at the brock shop said not to use it as it is crap she had suggested Shell oils.

If you looking for some orsm speakers do a search for Dream on Ebay as I have purchased there down firing sub and speaker package and can say these are orsm and cheap. I was using Magnat & Jamo speakers prior and have decided to give these a go and will say I would buy these Dream speakers over top name brands every day. I can crank my amp to full with no distorion at all where as the Magnat and Jamo would be lucky to get to 3/4 volume. They are a company that imports them direct and by memory are US company who has manufactured in China. I have had my Dream speakers for over 12 mths with no problems. You will be impressed as I was. They have a few options and I prefer there Dream range over there Simba range. Even though these are very cheap they are made with high quality in performance and appearence. Hope this is of use to you.

TAB what I was trying to say is only suggestions of a more interesting series. Production cars or if the majority don't want to see slow cars have a series with strickly controlled affordable mods only. APS Capa & RDP all do components to suit a wide range of vehicles that don't cost a arm and leg. Keep drive trains as per Factory with seals so can't be tampered with, allow common upgrades like exhaust, edit's, intakes and coil over suspensions but no mods to suspension arms and locating points. With more vareity gmh would find it harder to dictate the rules when more manufacturer's are involved.

Rest my case no turbo. I dare not open that thumbnail for risk of virus. I think you have just posted a picture of a car that is more U G L Y than a Lada Niva. Yuk 4 door ute I hope Ford never try that one. Even the ugly 90's model taurus looks better, maybe Ford should flog the taurus off to gmh so they can rebadge it as the all new hsv astra/torana, it would have to better than the daewo astra. Well atleast if they where to do that they may finally sell a car that doesn't have: poor machining qualities, power steering that dumps its fluid after a few hard laps , side airbags that trigger for no reason, wheels studs that break, wheels that crack, soft cam lobes, engine blocks that crack, the good old 02 red with its # rod out of bed when given a hard time, banjo diff (I mean bango), gmh's super tuff manual gearbox's m20 m21 could even handle std power outputs of 2hp, the good old tri-matic sorry that's trouble-matic, master cylinders that seize, gearboxs that don't even have a breather and blow up after a few laps of racing, fuel pumps that catch fire , seat belts that pull out (35+ years of making the seat belt and they can't even get that right). Also it took gmh 30 years to build a production motor that produced more power than the XY GTHO P3, wait a minute do gmh even make there own engines. May if they started to use some of the local knowlege they maybe able to build a decent car, Eg COME with there all alloy version of the 308 but with 355ci but this maybe out of there price range as they usually only buy cheap imported junk with poor machining Tolerences. But hay everyone to there own, if you like gmh quality well theres nothing Iam going to say or do that will change your perception of the all Australian made supercar. Yeh I do view and reply late night early morning on here rap1d because of my pain killers Iam taking for my 6 damaged disks due to poor working conditions from a very large gmh parts distribution warehouse. They knock my sleep paterns around a bit and keep me wide awake at weird hours, so count me as being serious. This has nothing to do with my lack of liking gmh but has given me a better understanding of what goes on behind closed doors.

Did I say my car would beat a v8 supercar NO. Would a historic touring car beat one NO. But I can tell you this historics look and sound alot better on the track than any v8 supercar. My point with the right exhausts a power increase and susspension parts which are allocated for each vehicle a production car will be a more real thing and not some silicon tit fake car you can only dream of with your hand down your pants. I prefer to watch things I can try to afford, it relates better and has more purpose. Not to mention sales for companies who would promote these affordable parts that are Department of Transport approved eg APS, RDP, Capa etc etc upgrade kits. Maybe include a class that allows a Capa sealed std vortec v1 with boost limit control to say 10 psi supercharger on v8's. Eg Dam that setup on that black APS xr6t works well I will go buy that one. And the way those Tein adjustable suspension works on it I will go and purchase them as well. This will work for all makes of cars as there would be a greater variety. There is plenty of options to make it exciting. And Iam not saying that v8 supercars are boring just a bit one sided with favour going to gmh as well it does not in any form relate to my car except cosmetic eg doors boot lid, lights etc etc..

Project blue print was invented as avesco cams tega whoever finally noticed that there where hardly any Ford supporters watching the sport while there unfair parity rules where making it impossible for Ford to be competitive. Could you imagine having to compete against another vehicle that nearly had the power your car was capable of but you kept getting the bad end of the deal where you where only allow to run 16kg frontal down force to 60 kg frontal downforce (AU Falcon) to compensate the 10 hp power difference. Now watch it all happen again as they have the attention of the Ford fans and gmh will not want there dud new car to fail, they will do what ever it takes to make it look like a car that can beat the best cars in the world. (there are people that are stupid and buy because of the v8 supercars) You know they used the std 7.0l monaro with full factory options to beat the Porshe and Ferrai's. Its all a trait of gmh with there make a legand out of Goes right back to the beginning. Maybe Ford should start pulling the wool over people's eyes and do the same, NO PLEASE DONT Iam very happy with Ford quality. The best thing is to have a series that is true production car of all makes but different classes. Engine and drive train is sealed so no cheating can happen with strick inspections of OEM parts being used or controled parts that the public could have access to and afford. Eg look at mods that everyone on here have done to get more go, just a rough guess I would have to say 300rwkw would be about average power for a xr6t and those mods could be set as a control thing you know external bolt ons like exhaust and injectors, fuel pump, and retune. I know with my own t at 270rwkw it is a hand full under WOT and that's with 265 wide 19's on rear.. How can you say that it would be to boring as they would be to slow. For starters there would be more variety and the cars would move around more. If you have ever watched the historic production cars go around a track you would know what I mean.

Sorry for being loyal to my choice of Manufacturer. I have plenty of mechacial knowledge of the gmh product as worked for them for 3 years 2000 to 2003 and learned quite a bit about the gen 3 engine that can only be hone ten thou and if it requires a rebore well you had to opt for a new $4300 + block plus not to mention other required parts and labour. These gen 3 engines came imported with poor machining tolerences and beleive me when I say that just here in QLD with the biggest Expensive Daewoo parts warehouse we where receiving batchs of rings, conrods and pistons weekly not to mention complete engines & power steering racks as this was also another problem with vt - vz. How about the new ve with its fuel pump fire & seat belt recall already. Just quality. So yeh stick up for quality gmh products if you are a car enturisist and not Ford loyalty. Not meaning to upset anyone but I was just saying that it is a Ford site and I feel it should be kept as Ford only. Maybe there should be a section that caters for bi (Ford & Holden) car maker fanatic's But come on on the home page on the random picture's. There is a lot of under 25 yo's who think gmh make race winning cars when it is all a big front created by unfair parity rules and bogus penalities illegal parts being used and multi owned race teams all dictated by gmh. That is my view and my opinion so don't take it to heart and I know people have there choices.

Yes bring back production cars as the number one Aussie motorsport. And don't let gmh dictate rules. Don't let them use after market conrods, heads, cylinder blocks, and power steering componants, fuel pump. I suppose that may not work as no gmh car would finish. These are a few of the cheats I have heard or read about gmh have done over the years. HK monaro Brake master cylinder mod to stop plungger from seizing. (if they didn't do this they would not have won with this car) LJ GTR hdt used modified steel rims as factory units kept failing. hdt - brock used a alloy engine block. (if they didn't do this they would not have won with this car) It was a lemon of a car with soft cam lobes, engine block craking problems and more. but earned the gaint killer status because of their cheating ways. SLR5000 LH torana gearbox bushes and venting as would only last a few laps before grenading, also very poor mechanicals. (if they didn't do this they would not have won with this car) A9X LH torana Was allowed to use roller rockers, large valves, panard rods and other hot up parts as they met the 100 sold criterier (shouldn't it have been 200) these 100 cars where only available to people who help a CAMS racing licence. Ford weren't allowed roller rockers, panard rods or any exotic parts. I had heard of rumors with early V8 supercars that there was anger amonst gmh teams as hrt where allowed to use things that they couldn't, VR-VS crummy hrt skaife was found to be using illegal susspension componants and was not penalised for doing so. Also I think it was around this same time remember when Dickies cars where rockets down conrod but followering year the top 3 finishing crummies where all found to be using illegal cylinder head mods. This is how I heard it. Dicky protested and officals kept putting it off till it was past the hour to make the claim. I also asked QLD state HSV parts manager about this to which he comfirmed the fact that they where using illegal cyl head mods. Longhurst taken out with only a few laps to victory by a crummy that was a back runner( bathurst). Morris blocking Bowe so hrt would not get threatened by Bowe at (bathurst). Ambrose taken out by murph (bathurst). Lowndes taken out by kelly for championship honors. And all the parity handicaps CAMS / Avesco have handed the Fords. Plus bogus penalities balacrava, racing room etc etc. I wonder if gmh have ever beat Ford without cheating. These are things I have heard and I bet there are many more unknown cheats they are doing or have done. Remember that year with Ambrose in the AU both him and scaife had blocked radiator ducts but only Ambrose's car over heated. I wonder if hrt where using extra coolant resivors or running there coolant through roll cage as by memory the hrt car was leaking coolant from rear, isn't that a bit odd, where they allowed to run extra coolant if they did. I wish they had to use factory fuel pump from wheels car of the year. Wouldn't that be a good sight watching the burn to the ground on the track. Add more to this if anyone has further or correcting info.

Dam been a loyal ford supporter for at least 34 years. Still havn't got to go to Bathurst. I think you may have left bookings to late. Anyway I suggest you take a balacrava incase a ford driver may need it, don't worry about gmh drivers as they would never get such a bulls hit penality. Also take a large rock for pay back (yeh I know its a old grudge). Take plenty of bribe money to swing penalities on to gmh drivers. (this you would have to be able to out bribe gmh though) A large banner protesting fair playing ground. And put a end to gmh cheating ways. Give gmh supporters a good reving. Rip p rick kelly's tongue out as totally sick of hearing his girly voice. Make sure this is gmh driver you throw the rock at, and do it before he takes out the leading Ford. Most of all make sure you have a great time if you get your arrangements sorted.
