Hi Buddy Welcome to this ORSM site. Have a look at this link. It may surprise you. http://www.nizpro.com.au/terror_tory_main.html How did you like it, a SUV as you guys call em. Imagine getting blown away by this in a tuff v8 Stang, Viper, or Vette. And what makes it even better is it is full complianced and drives like a standard car till you stand on the go pedal. Wish Ford OZ would bring out a 4wd Turbo Falcon, now that would be wicked. We love handing GMH a flogging with our tuff Turbo Falcons here. I have only a few mods done to my XR6 Turbo and the other day a 307 kw Gen 4 HSV R8 ve Commodore (I think you are getting these badged as the new 4 door Pontiac) tried to beat me with a run up. I was doing 60 kph and slammed 2nd with instant redline stayed side by side, then slammed 3rd and jumped more than 2 car lengths ahead then backed off. Man would have loved to have seen his face as I accellerated away. I even had the air cond on when I handed him a wipping. PS also have a look at what else Nizpro have done with the Turbo Fords. Count me in Tab. Any weekend day would be fine. How about on a Saturday a cruise from Broadwater carpark to Mt Tamborine with lunch pinic there, then head back to Broadwater carpark for the night hang out. Or may cruise through Mt Tam then on to Mt Cootha for night time look at all the pretty lights. And maybe dinner up there, best to buy elsewhere as cafe at Lookout is expensive eg slice of mud cake and coffee $10.

Just hooked up boost gauge. Boost is 12 psi. When it is just warmed up and first WOT the boost is hitting 15psi and drops back to 12psi quickly. Boost readings are from BOV hose at x over, and gauge is a brand new cobolt Autometer. It doesn't ping or do anything stupid eg flat spots surging, but it does seem to be running rough at idle when cold but as soon as it reaches temp it settles nicely.

Hi I would like to know how my tune maybe affected since I have fitted a X force system. Not ready for tune as wanting to fit a shorter intake track first and maybe purchase a Xcal 2. Car had the center muff removed prior to fitting X force, nizpro valve springs, walbro pump, hi flowed injectors and made 270rwkw hi oct tune and 250rwkw on soft tune both @ 12psi. Soft tune recorded mid 11 AFR's don't know hi oct AFR's. Car is 2003 may sedan 5sp manual. I have noticed it is making alot more power as it wheels spins 1st as soon as boost comes on and 2nd is on the edge pending road surface. Iam running 265 wide 19 Nankangs. Before this X Force exhaust was fitted it was doing same in first as what it is doing now in 2nd. Would this be close to its max with this system fitted now or would a retune extract a bit more? Also made a 307 VE R8 look like a HSV (Expensive Daewoo Slow Vehicle) today, what a buzz. Tried run through in 2nd on me at 60kph, I slammed 2nd with near instant rev limiter, hit 3rd pulled more than 2 car lengths before even getting to rev limit then braked. And that was with air con on, he may have to as his windows where up.

Has anyone noticed how many vt onwards are missing there fuel covers? Does anyone know why they are missing? Is it that they just fall off or are they broken off due to inoperative latch? Just asking as Iam seeing this quite often. Plus seeing covers of different colour as well.

Have you ever compared the equivilent to those named cars with what gmh produced. Don't think so. Have a read of all the write ups from Australian Muscle car magazine on how great the gmh eqivilents where. Eg XU1 gtr torana would not have won a race if harry firth didn't have stronger wheelss made, the camshaft material was like butter, the blocks would crack, brock won with the xu1 but nobody knew about the illegal alloy engine block that was sand blasted to give it the cast iron look and paint as per original colour. The slr5000 with its gearbox's that would blow up after a few laps and other poor mechanicals, hay they made the a9x better only 100 made (suppose to be 200) and only available to people with race licence and not general public. These a9x toranas had ported heads, roller rockers, better valve springs, panard rods etc etc. Get this though Ford wasn't allowed to use rollers or panard rods for about 2-3 years later with group c rules. This is only a few things I have mention and there is heaps more. Those people that put Ford Quality down need to pull their head out of there & do some research into things before they make remarks about things they don't know anything about. Mr Tom Gorman is right on the button with his words, the sad thing about it is that there is so many people out there that have been disalusioned by gmh's ways of dealing which has happened a lot and not just with this new wave of they are rebadging and calling Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo beaters. Remember the so called 427 monaro that was suppose to be available to the market and was allowed to run as a production car in the 12hr race that it dominated. Now everyone things that there monaro can beat these exoctics Wheels car of the year with its 2 major recalls already (Seat belts that pull out, and fuel pump fire's) Has anyone noticed how many vt onwards are missing there fuel covers, does anyone know why they are missing, is it that they just fall off or are they broken off due to inoperative latch? I am using 5w-40w (40w?) full syn Havoline and can say I am am very happy with how much quiter and smoother my XR6T runs than what it did with the unknown mineral oil that was in it when I purchased. Have you seen the adds for Havoline that state SBR use off the shelf Havoline oil's. If its good enought for them I will use it to. Other V8 supercar teams have never made this claim of the oils they use. In a old worn out cortina 6 I had years ago I experimented with a few different oils as was using 4 liters a week. Magnatech is not as good as they tried saying it was as it deminished very quickly and oil pressure would drop badly once at temp, this was no better than the thin no name super market $5 oil. Valoline would hold pressure alot better but still dropped psi with a bit more mileage out of it over the magnatech. Penrite 50 would last 2 weeks and hold very good oil pressure, down side being it was twice the price of others, upside less pollution. After the cortina I continued using Penrite 50 in my 351 which lasted 4 years of abuse before my brother spun a bearing (this may have happened from him racing a lambo a few weeks before as he told me this lambo pulled a few car lengths on him and he had looked at speedo as it was sitting on 200kph and realised he had better select top, so probably stretched a rod bolt from over reving it which may have been the cause). I never checked the damage as it was his car at time so can't say 100% what caused the spun bearing, however I did see the bearings out of it to which they all looked in very good condition and the one which had spun had just flattened the locating tabs. This was able to pull 7 000 rpm top gear with 3.0:1 gears, would turn the tyre's at 170kph changing into top gear ( toploader ). Beleive me it copped a hard 4 years. I would have gone Penrite sin for my T if it was not so expensive. The Havoline is under $50 compared to Penrite sin $70. Iam in QLD and have had no problems running 5w oil. I would recommend to run 5w in these Hi tech multi valve, tight clearenced engines. If you have checked the very fine oil filter mesh screen for turbo feed and think about a thick oil trying to flow through it and then you would understand what Iam saying, and also a thick oil takes longer to circulate through engine which causes shortened life to lifters and other wear. EG a siezed bolt if you try to undo without applying a thin wd40 lube it will get hot and most times snap. motor oil is to thick to flow into it so it wont work either. So imagine a thick weight oil trying to lubricate a low clearence engine. Other disadvantage of heavy oil is you lose power due to more friction same again get a roller bearing and pack it with grease and spin it, then clean it with kero and apply oil, it spins a lot easier and is not going to wear anymore than what it would with grease in it. Sorry for this very long thread but hope it is of use.

Man I feel for your loss, those low life drug little . If I ever catch someone trying to pinch my or another car, let me say this I would be the one going to jail, the law enforcement in this country is all about revenue raising not about helping the comunity. Just last week my wife's on the phone to my little sister 5.45pm and all of a sudden my wife's yelling at me to call the police as some guys a threatening to break into my sisters house. I call emergency on my mobile and tell them what is happening while wife keeps talking to sister. I give them the story and address details then jump into my car. My sisters house is a 25min drive from mine which I covered in under 10 mins (thank god for those new AP racing brakes). I arrive there before the police, which I though was total crap, but get this they cops didn't even turn up till 4 hrs after the call which was at 9.45pm. Lucky the bastards had taken off as I would have dealt with the situation myself. It was all because these people where chasing these 2 guys who stole there drugs and took a short cut through sisters yard. they where threatening my sister to give them back to them and where are the guys who ran into the yard. I know from now on not to bother calling the cops for assistance after that. EDIT If you do catch the theifs deal with them yourself and let everyone know what they did and where they live, get photo's of them to and post with any info you give out. Yes it looks like the Blitz's bonnett. I have one at home I have not had the time to fit yet. I had to give vin number when purchased to register with DOT as they apparently are the only fibre glass bonnett in Australia that is DOT approved. Dam wish I had mine on first before these other one's started showing up. They are very good Quality but still need to be trial fitted and the flutes could do with a tidy up with round off cut edges. They where only around $600 when I purchased mine just after chrissy. Fat Tony come on now monaro copied from the XB GS GT or from the Stang of same era. Along with all the other things they have copied from ford. The honey comb grills are another thing from the XB, check out the dunnydores.

Fat Tony that's what mine does every now and then, you may recall me writting about that in another thread. Same thing only 1st to 2nd change. I have also been using bp ultimate and think that it is the inconsistancy of its quality that maybe doing it. I had been using nulon octane booster to cure this bad fuel batches and now that you guys mention it it has started to miss a little especially when cold. Maybe as you say booster fowling the plugs. This is why I thought it was odd as RDP dyno day hot as all f*ck and it ran mid 11 AFR's all the way. So I 'll give my plugs a clean and try shell fuel and see if it ever pings again.

Thanks tmac450 that's what Iam trying to get throught to people. It is a big point to me how these cheats are allowed to get away with what ever they want to get the advantage over everyone else. I have been a car nut nearly my whole life growing up with a family who would meet for every Ford Expensive Daewoo race telecast. To see and hear all this cheating going on is just absolute crap. There has been a fair bit over the years but this lastest scam of hrthsv draws the line for me. This is only my opinion and feelings and if you want to watch a comp that is dictated by hrthsv then do it. If nothing changes I will put money down on which teams have the only chance of winning the championship, do I have to mention there team names, don't think so. It is there title this year. Its just like when you know how a movie is going to finish, it takes the fun out of it.

Don't do it. I agree with some of the others to rice. Also I like it how people have to stick there head into the opening to comfirm it is a T. I prefer the stealth std look. Find another option to do that doesn't make the Barra's design look rice, there are plenty of things if you research it and take note of feedback on your plans. Just my opinion.

So ninka what is a load of Don't tell me you bat for the gmh side or are you bi. gmh with tom have been dictating the sport for a long time and if you don't agree you need to pull your head out of your and look into what goes on behind the scene's. Why did Ambrose say he had had enough of v8 supercars and decided to pursue racing options outside of Australia? Why did Beta Elec pull sponsorship? Why is Ford saying that they are cutting back on support? How come it takes so long for skaife to prove ownership? Has he done so yet or was it all wiped away with the finanial agreement (bribe). Wasn't there problems with ownership in 2003/4 with ownership relating to hrt & hsv, didn't the kelly's buy hsv off tom and skaife buy hrt off tom ? So why is there still a problem with ownerships of these two teams, didn't they pay there anual keep it quite fee? If it is not sorted as far as I can see that should mean hrt hsv should be stripped of all race wins and title's while ownership not proven to be by the rule's Didn't another Expensive Daewoo race team do some unorthorised testing and get penalised with a big fine, stripped of points and where not allowed to do any testing for a set time. All this for one unorthorised testing day, yet hrthsv have been sharing data and drivers for years. On my suggestion of tom using Ford Cosworth F1 engines I ment it as a sadistic remark as I know that there would be no way he would be able to use these engines (well I hope not) but he did bring in other F1 parts to use on his cars. Ingall makes contact with skaife trying not to go off track as skaife had shunt ingall in rear making ingall go wide then turned under him using him to take the corner, but it didn't work out for skaife in the end and ingall gets penalised badly for trying to avoid going off track and into wall because of this cheating bribe artist. Skaife also does this to Ambrose and Ambrose gets hit with penality for not allowing racing room, prior to this wasn't the lead car had right away (car making pass must be past B piller prior to turning into corner). But when Ambrose does same thing to skaife didn't Ambrose get the penality? murph takes Ambrose out in what looked to be blatantly deliberate and Ambrose was lucky not to have suffered a servere injury due to murphs tactics. murph gets a slap on the hands and is call a racing incident That to was probably washed aside with a finanial agreement. Or maybe the fact that murphs team where naming rights to that race may have had something to do with the ruling. And if you think p rick taking Lowndes out was a racing incident and was not planed you might need a crow bar to pry your head out of your So if skaife is such a great driver why did Lownde's show him the way to the finish on nearly every race that he drove for hrt. 2 sets of rules. I have had enough of watching this championship but that does not mean I don't like racing between different makes, and I would give credit to hrt and hsv if they where playing under the same rules and not taking out the top placed Ford to succeed. It is such a pitty that they arn't playing under the same rules as Ford and other Expensive Daewoo teams, all they are doing is destroying the sport. I have watched Ford battle gmh for close to 30 years and until the officials started imposing performance penalities to the Ford v8 supercars with worst being the 40kg + frontal down force difference of the AU Falcon. Hell how much did hrt cry about officials going to equalise the splitter lenght to the point it didn't evenuate. But project blueprint was to even out performance difference's with allowing gmh to use same style block and head config's to Ford as well as the Double wish bone Ford front set up and the 100mm the engine was allowed to match the position of the Ford engine, mean while Ford get a aero package equivilent, well nearly as I think it was stated that gmh cars where allowed to use the extra boot lip until gmh where up to speed with mechanical development of the new style engine/suspension. I think they are still using this extra lip. This lip will aid in low speed cornering advantage. I have many a friend who bat for the gmh side and most of them are sick of hrt hsv cheating ways and wish anyone of the other Expensive Daewoo teams to put hrt hsv in there place. We have good relations even though we back different manufacture's and are always competing between ourselfs on who has the best package. Sorry for this huge thread but ninka stirred the pot. Everyone has there own opinion and should be able to voice it. So how was the racing today was it a hrthsv white wash?

Couldn't be bothered watching this biased comp anymore. tega/avesco/cams can stick it up there Is there any other crummies that are in the comp that are competitive. Makes you wonder why hrthsv are the only one's to take the fight to Ford. Man I would hate to be a non hrthsv Expensive Daewoo team having to compete in this comp where you know you have not got a chance to win as you have not the money to pay officials to turn a blind eye to illegal team ownership and illegal parts being used. Ford can't even have a driver race without his underwear little than share data and drivers with each other from 2 seperate teams. Watch at crictical times and some bogas penality always pops up when hrthsv are being beaten. Congrats to all the Ford teams on there fine effort for race 1. Be strong as for the next decade this is how it will be, officials have allowed gmh/tom to dictate the championship yet again . Iam so glad p rick kelly didn't get that start at Bathurst that year when he was to team with I think it was Seton. To have that cheating girly/queer (sorry girls/queers not bagging you) voiced excuse of a race driver racing for Ford would have made me ashamed to be a Ford supporter.. Why even bother to watch V8 supertom championship. I heard that all 4 of his cars where in top 5 with lowndes sitting in 3rd for the grid positions . One other crummy in the top ten, what was this car and driver? How did he finish? What was the results not that am interested anymore let me guess, tander, rick, scaife, Lowndes, Courtney, Wincup, Winterbottom, Bright, Ingal, Johnson, Davison, Bowe, Brad, Bargwarner, Rat oh first of non hrthsv car Jack perkins, Ford, Ford, Ford Other Perkins car, Ford, Ford with rest all being holden . Hate hrthsv rick the side burn kid and scaife big nose but tod would be least hated out of toms drivers. Wish lowndes took rick out first corner, that would have been ORSM news to hear. Better still should make a new rule if your the last positioned Ford at 3/4 race distance you are to take p rick kelly out or be excluded from any funding From Ford, If successfull bonus of $5g for doing so and $3g for any other of tom's cars. Does anyone know if tom has paid for those Cosworth F1 engines yet, the ones he owed Cosworth for. Maybe he is using them in hrthsv cars as we all know all other crummies arn't competitive.

Put In My New Autometer Gauges Today

I bought one of these ss pods, didn't even fit it as I was not happy with look. If you want them to look better at least open them up and fit 2 5/8" gauges so they havn't the ugly look of the pod behind the bezel being to large and bulky looking. I to have purchased a tri pod and can vouch for there quality. -
The gauge is a Autometer Cobolt series part #6175 I have heard how they will go side to side, I have also heard that if wired up differently (I think it was grey wire) it does not go side to side as fast and is more readable. I didn't want to spend $1500 on a true AFR metering device just want something that's going to say green for good red for danger so to let me know there is a AFR problem. I have heard that the new sct2 flasher has data logger capabilities, does anyone know if this will show/record AFR readings? Also there is a dianostic tool on ebay at present for just over $200 does this record AFR readings?

Keep a copy in your glovebox of the extract so when a cop pulls you over and tries to impound your car for his aledged hooning laws. Say sorry mr officer have a read, you will find that I am not a hoon so can't be charged with Hooning. Imagine there face if we could use this as written law.

Yeh I was thinking of regapping plugs. They are supposed to be platuims. Car is a manual 5 spd. Maybe it might be por boost control as well as when it does do it it seems as it is starting to push real hard and then ping and I will get off it. I think by memory it has only done it when air is cool so maybe its getting more boost and causing it. Car has std actuator and suppose to be tuned with 10psi. I will just have to fiddle with car till I find problem. I have just bought 3 cobolt gauges for tri pod (Pole Position pod) Boost, oil pressure & AFR. So don't have any room for fuel pressure and not sitting it on bonnet/cowl and don't like the pillar pods. Once AFR gauge is hooked up I wouldn't have a need for fuel pressure gauge as if have poor fuel pressure AFR gauge will read lean won't it?

I don't know why it pings from time to time. I have noticed for instance I could be giving it a hard time and have no problem but then the next time I wot it it would ping and get off it instantly. Drive 1 k down road wot it again no ping. I think it could have something to with the walbro pump or regulator. It would be great to get to bottom of why it is doing it. As I said earlier if It does it a few times on the tank of fuel I add nulon octane booster to it. And have not noticed it ping once have added booster. Craig from FIST asked once if I was having any fluctuation with walbro pump, at that time I hadn't had one but now have had this ping every now and then. eg may have done it 3 in the month. Just want to be safe as know how much damage this can do if it keeps happening.

That maybe why my car only ran 338rwkw at open day. It ran 11 to 11.5 AFR with a very straight line showing on graph. I have not bothered to play with the flash tuner on the car yet but do know it is set on program #2. Maybe if I tried Program #3 I might find it to pick up those extra ponies it was down on from open day. maybe a learner tune. I will give it a go tomorrow and see if can feel any difference. Even though It runs this rich and I always use BP ultimate, I have found it to ping on occassion so I just add octane booster to stop it. Is this about right with fuel being up and down in quality or do you reckon I may have sticky fuel regulator or fuel pump that fluctuates causing this. The other thing is I find it comes on power very hard and sometimes it feels as though its running half boost. Is this the ecu controlling power output. Car is capa flash tune custom tune, could it be a part of the protection settings or heat soak with the std IC. Any suggestions please.

Where is everyone Iam at Maca's waiting to have a drag with someone , then see who can do the best burnout , and crank my stereo up till my windows pop out. If Iam 36yo does that mean if a cop pulls me over when frying my rear tyres hanging sideways passing a supercharge ve gts, does that mean Iam still not a hoon because of my age. That article said young men and women. So I have age & type of vehicle stopping me from hooning. That means I will be safe against anti hooning laws, I will just show them this extract from the Wikipedia Encyclopedia and be able to tear up the ticket in the cops face. Wouldn't that be ORSM. My T made 338rwhp on RDP open day not long after a yellow F6 made 332rwhp. The guy I purchased my T from said it had been dynoed at 270rwkw which was more than I had on the day. Don't know if there was something there though as when I drove car up to que the IC to trottle body hose decided to come off, fixed it ran on dyno and that's what it made on 2nd run which was 3rwhp more. Std IC I was thinking it would get worse not improve. Driving home it didn't seem to push as hard but it was a very hot day. The next morning early I gave her a work out and all seemed fine with enough power to turn my 255 x 19 tyre's in a straight line with no clutch work pulling from about 1800rpm and once climbs to approx 3000 - 3500 rpm it starts turning them. I was very impressed with that F6 being std and all.
