Check out that hot looking lowered tail tip and it is chrome just like the FPV cars. But seriously look at area from under tail lights and top of bumper below boot, what does that part look like? gmh try to steel styling cue's from other manufacturer's all the time but do such a bad job it looks hideous. EG barina tail lights from Focus. Wonder how many people would buy the daewoo barina if they knew it's safty rating. And this pile of crap I bet it will be even worse. It's good that they have taken this path as people will slowly wake up to there poor customer care and they will never return once bitten. You think more would have learnt from the oil burning, rattling dud gen 3. If you race one don't start from behind as 3 out of 4 have caked my car in oil. And this will probably be even worse than the gen 3, we need anti oil protectant for our cars urgenly.

Not getting worked up, don't really care if you want to be blind to the facts. I have with many others expressed my feelings with gmh's tactics for years even while we where winning. Have you guys even read anything on here and found evidence of what both me and tmac450 have been trying to get accross. The ignorance of people is the problem why gmh/hrt/toss get away with dictating the rules along with the available info that is given out. (yes I know there is a lot of secrets in motorsport but letting gmh cheat is wrong) If Ford and the Ford race teams made a stand things would be made a lot more even on the track. Along with fan support, not loyal fans turning a blind eye. If you call yourselfs loyal supporters to Ford than along with other Ford owners should stand up for the brand and not allow gmh to dictate the sport. I feel this is the best place to start as it's a Ford site and if people joined together things happen. I have found people that useually don't agree with whats being written are those x gmh owners that have turned to Ford due to this orsm Turbo Ford with it's easy power upgrades being available, but once gmh makes a better car (If they could make a fuel flap that doesn't fall off first ) they will bag the crap out of the turbo Falcon. Is this where you tab and laner come from? Gee I used my first emoticon, that still doesn't mean I am getting emotional over this subject.

This is useless tmac450 it's like trying to tell a 2 year old how to do his shoe lace up. So has anyone got anyting on how the ve has been cut and shut to make it a better handling car than what it should based on the production chassis platform. Imagine if Ford cut and shut the Falcon to make it a better handling car. Do you think the governing bodies would allow Ford to do like wise? Don't think so. True supporter would not turn a blind eye to hrt/toss racing tactics to being a race winner. Motorsport is orsm but if your opponent is allowed to dictate the rules to suit there team and cars it destroys the whole thing, and once the unknown public become aware of it they to also lose interest in it as well. gmh is destroying a good show. And as tmac450 said if production was promoted as well it would more than likely do better as if you remember where it all started from and how the big f500 cars with all there power and speed loss out to production car racing as it did not relate as well to the pulic. I wouldn't mind betting if production cars where promoted it may do the same. It would be a lot cheaper to run for teams as well. Just look at DJR at present I think they are in the process of selling out to a f3 pommy team.

Whats this stuff I have heard about that the ve has been cut and shut having 93mm taken out of it which apparently is suppose to give them better weight balance with better turn in. Also I have heard that they have also taken the height out of the roof as well to give it a better aero shape. I though you had to leave the body/shell as per same as it came from factory. How come they are allowed to do this, maybe another financial agreement. The other knight I was catching up on some reading of my collection of AUSTRALIAN MUSCLE CAR issue 30 reading about how Ford withdrew the racecar as they where under the impression that gmh was going to bend the rules to suit there new crummy. So it seems gmh have been dictating the sport for a long time. It was good though to see Wayne Draper (Ford Design person) go behind Fords back and built the race car, he gave Cams the weight for the lightest falcon (taxi ?) which was a rare thing to get one over gmh. This Wayne Draper risked he career to keep Ford in the sport as if they had found out what he was doing he would have been fired on the spot. And yes Iam passionate about Ford getting screwed over by gmh all the time with there cheating ways. So name how many times Ford have failed to finish due to vehicle failure's. I suppose you call Longhurst getting taken out by a back running crummy with a few laps from the finish a vehicle failure? Funny how that kept all footage of the incidence quite. Wake up and smell the truth of what goes on. Ford have been disadvantaged by the rules and parity for years with gmh dictating the whole show.

I think it looks orsm, And will look even better once lowered. As for the hard lid and wing don't you dare remove them as they make it look so much better than a open tub or soft cover. So how you feel, you in la la land or what. From upgrading from my AU11 XR8 manual to a BA XR6T has been a huge improvement. And Iam still not over it's driveability and power be it though modded to over 270 rwkw.

When I was looking to purchase a GTP the sales rep showed me sample's of leather which by memory did include a creame colour but no white and there was a good variety to choose from. So I think it may have been a factory ordered colour by that owner.
-
Why does crummy out sell the Falcon then if it's not v8 supercar related. Can't you see that toss/hrt have the rules to suit them and dictate the championship. I think you need to open your eye's a bit on what is actually going on with the sport. And I wouldn't care if the crummies won every race as long as it was by the rules. Stone Brothers dominated because they had a fantasic driver, this same driver finished the AU in 3rd place in it's last championship which you have to hand to him since he did it with a car that had like 40+ kg less frontal downforce due to the shorter undertray than what the crummies where allowed to use. I would say even if Ambrose was still racing here he would be struggling to keep pace with the toss/hrt cars. So I suppose toss/hrt are really that much better than 888 even though it was Lowndes championship last year until p rick kelly ended that. Didn't 888 have more wins than toss or hrt last years championship? Where are they this year have they gone backwards in there performance or is it that the new ve is a much better race car than the falcon. If that's the case why is it only toss/hrt in the top 10 most of the time and the rest of the top 10 is filled out with the fords. Wake up hrt/toss have been found breaching the rules and allowed to get away with it by making a finanial agreement (bribe I would call it). This is the only reason why they are the teams at the front. And as you say there are majority of people on here that have made there mind up on there make of car and don't care who wins . This is not the issue it's about Ford moving away from the v8 supercars. And I was only stating my thought's on why they are doing so.

New Xr6t Plenum Cooler Kit Available!
01txr replied to groper's topic in Fuel System & Induction Workshop
A bit that's a understatement. that's 1/6th the price I paid for my T. -
Its ok to loose to a better product, but how would you like to spend billions in a sport to be competitive only to have your main opposition be allowed to go above the rules to have the advantage with there inferior product. How many people in the general public know what is actually going on beyound pit lane and are under the impression that gmh have the better product. Just look at all the vt - vz gen3 crummies bad oiling problems, poor machining tolerences, can't rebore engine blocks, powersteering oils leaks & fires etc etc hell they can't even make a petrol flap that stays attached. The governing bodies even allowed gmh race teams to move the chassis rails inwards to allow the required rubber to fit, great engineering. Also didn't it have 21 recalls in a 9 year period. And how many people out there think there crummy is the ducks guts due to the v8 supercar wins. Even the poor dud AU is a way better engineered car with way less problems but because of the aero advantage's allowed to the crummy by the governing bodies the AU looked like a inferior car. This hurt Ford with sales. Where mentioned why don't Ford do the same, well look what happened when Ambrose had a useless loose wire coming from his EM & his lack of wearing a Balacrava. Hell Murph puts Ambrose into the wall and that is deemed ok but not wearing a Balacrava, go figure. Ford can't even scratch their arse without the governing bodies slapping penalities or fines on them. hrt/hsv work as a 4 car team, can't prove ownership rights and pays there way out of it with no penalities at all. All I can say is Ford you are doing the right thing in moving away from the v8 supercar series as these biased rules have hampered Ford for to many years from displaying the true engineering quality of it's products.

Why don't they just come out and say it as it is. Ford is sick of being dictated by gmh's brown nose antic's to Tega/Avesco & cams of being allowed to do as they please outside the rules in the V8 supercars. Everyone including the non HRT HSV Expensive Daewoo race teams know what is going on. As I have said in other posts what is the point of Ford competing if the rules are allowed to be dictated by HRT & HSV teams. Hell it's a wonder that they arn't able to fit blowers to there cars, or maybe they have already. Maybe Ford have read many a Forum and found that there is a lot of unhappy Ford loyalist who have turned there backs on the sport because of the unfair rulings and one rule for Ford and another for hrt / hsv. gmh can't make or build a car that can truely out perform the Ford product so they have to stoop to dictating the sport by using illegal componants and tactics and have there drivers punt leading position Ford drivers off the track so they can actually win a race/championship. "If you can't win punt them off" "If you can't win cheat till you do" These should be there long life moto's. Ford should start up a Comp all of there own with the likes of all the performance range competing against each other. The different models all have there advantage's so would provide some very interesting racing especially with the new Focus I have been told is happening soon with all wheel drive. Maybe even focus there racing and promoting with production class racing the way it should have stayed. This would help with sales a lot more as it is what we buy and drive. If you seen say a XR6Turbo do well on the track and you where looking for a new car it would help make your decision better than seeing a exotic parts tin shell win. hrt/hsv thankyou for Fords new step forward into the future.

Nice choice in wheels, are they Koya Raceteh's? I have 19x9.5's and 19x8.5's Koya Raceteh's on my 2003 XR6 Turbo Naroomba blue in colour and they suit it very well. That Ford car yard looks like Springwood QLD. You didn't see me cruising around springwood to Browns Plains and seen them on my car which tempted you to get them for your new toy. My plates are 01 TXR on FPV theme. Your car should look and go very hard once you finish all those mods.
-
So how much can you do me a plenum for to fit my 2003 XR6 Turbo. I will make up my mind on which plenum to buy once Process West and Plazman finalise there price. And do you do any other parts for the XR6 Turbo.
-
Yes that would be at the flywheel because if it was at the back wheels you would need things like wastegate mod, and bigger injectors I would think. I have read a bit on the Capa site and think that they usually use flywheel power figure's. With what you have quoted you should be able to get it cheaper than that. Flash Tuner $750 42lb Injectors $450 siemens 660cc think they are 60lb Slim T-Rex Fuel Pump $300 (Walbro) Twin 2.5" Cat-Back Exhaust, Stainless $200 max (remove center muffler) Cold Air Intake $60 (typhoon 2nd cai from ford) K&N Filter $80 (redline) Total $1840max Plus get a full custom tune and fitment for around Capa's price. Give you around 270-290rwkw pending tuner and how far you want to push the tune. Or you could go to the next step Flash Tuner $750 42lb Injectors $450 siemens 660cc think they are 60lb Slim T-Rex Fuel Pump $300 (Walbro) Twin 2.5" Cat-Back Exhaust, Stainless $1700 (full x-force) Cold Air Intake $60 (typhoon 2nd cai from ford) K&N Filter $130 Wastegate mod with 12lb actuator Approx $500 if you remove and fit. Anywhere between 300-350rwkw pending tuner and how far you want to push the tune. I would reckon not to push past 320rwkw on standard rods and pistons. So if you decide to go to this level go for a softtune that won't put to much stress on your motor. Keep in mind I have been told that motor is only strong to 320-350rwkw pending who you ask. I can't say this is gosspel as it is only from what I have read on the forums. However my BA XR6T manual had made 270rwkw with: Nizpro valve springs nizpro high flowed injectors Walbro fuel pump K&n Filter capa custom tuned edit by can't recall (already done when I purchased) center muff removed @10 PSI

Can someone tell me why the T56 Ford box from ford is 3 times dearer than a gmh t56. Mal I maybe misunderstanding you as you did stste that your T56 box is blueprinted. So do you by direct from Tremac and disassemble and blueprint and reassemble them. If this is what you are doing an the T56 from Ford is just a off shelf item your price is extremely good in comparison to Ford. As you would probably buy in both makes of T56 box's are the Ford one's that much more than the gmh version. Is this the reason why the big difference in price between Ford version and gmh version. I know the Ford box is a more refined box hence will make it a bit dearer but it shouldn't be more than double the price. What is the stronger of the versions Ford or gmh. I think you stated somewhere the imput spline size's and the gmh had a larger imput shaft, is this correct and doesn't that make it stronger or are there other improvements to the Ford version. If the gmh version is stronger or the same in strength I would not mind putting up with a box that didn't shift as nice at the price difference I have been quoted. Can you supply the gmh version to fit my XR6 Turbo? The other thing will be a twin clutch to suit and hold my aim of 350rwkw.
-
Sorry I was not directing that at you only but at the fact that the thread was removed as it had another clutch option mentioned. If everything got removed then what would we learn about products on the market. I have followed a few of your post and you do truely give a lot of free advice and the products you have shown us have been truely of quality. I suppose it comes down to the fact that everyone on here wants to go fast and the fact that it is very easy to get power from the turbo it cost heaps in making everything work together. In my case pushing close to 300rwkw, car has a excede clutch in it (unknown type as was in it when purchased car). Now after having a exhaust fitted it has given hints of slippage, so I dare say I will be up for a new clutch which is going to cost me a min of $1000 then there is the T5 which is starting to wine this box had suppose to have had HD drive shafts fitted and new cluster and syncro's only about 6mths ago 3mths before I purchased car. So looks like I will have to purchase a new stronger box that is going to cost me a min $5000. Then on top of that my conrods and pistons which are going to cost me min $3000. Now my old 351c I built in the 90's had better performance and the whole car owed me $5000. The clutch I used in that was a yella terra flywheel $400 and a Centerforce street strip 11" clutch that cost me about $600 off memory. This cluch was able to turn the tyre's changining into top at 170 kph. Mine you car was lighter then the now BA. So I will be probably settling for around 350rwkw and will require a clutch that is going to hold that power. So what will that set me back with a gearbox as well that can handle it. I know the crummydore T56 is not quite as good a box as the Ford T56 but I have been told I can have a brand new one for $3000 and that is $6000 cheaper than Ford and half as cheap as your T56. This is what annoys me as it seems because there is this market for these turbo Falcons people take advantage of it. Is there really any reason the Ford version should be that much more than the GMH version. The Gearbox shop that quoted me that may have my bussiness depending on how much stuffing around I will have in fitting it. He says he has already done a few for customers.

Hay Phoon isn't that a phase 5 bonnet scoop from the phase 5 falcon designed and manufactured from Phase Auto's. Any way looks like a very tidy blend done. You didn't have this fitted at the RDP open day did you.
-
Search Ebay. I got my manual on CD from a guy on ebay. Cost me about $40 by memory. If you can't find a BA (CD manual) on ebay just ask some of the guys who are selling other CD manuals on there. It has a lot of info and I find it very good as you just print out what you need and you don't need to worry about getting oil and grease on the info as you can always print new one's.

Just like to make a order for 15 ooo bonksta skirts .... Opps I mean shirts, just put them on Tabs account. LOL The wait for this cruise is killing me, it will be good to mingle with some Ford minded guys and gals. Are we going to get a discount from this Cav's or some special treatment for giving them a big turn over for the night.

Well I reakon if I had let mine go any longer with the block filter it would have blown the turbo for sure. Buy not using the screen filter I have save it. It has had no problems at all and I now know it isn't going to starve for oil due to a blocked filter. When you look at it the oil passes through a mesh screen from pickup then passes through the oil filter so what harm will it cause anyway as it is already filtered. From what I had inspected there was not much dirt in the filter bar what was stuck in the gauzes. I feel it would not harm the turbo in anyway as it would just pass through and return to the sump. If it was a bush bearing turbo it may cause a little bit of minute scouring wear. The amount of dirt that came out of the filter would be lucky to cover half a 5c coin in one layer spread over the coin(that was with a life of mineral oil which the 2nd owner could not tell me what type was used as his mech did his servicing, probably the cheapest sh*t on the shelf). And that was with 80 000k's on the clock. It has done 89 000k's now with no problems. Car is not stock either. Last dyno it maid 270rwkw, it is fitted with Nizpro valve springs, Nizpro hi flowed injectors, walpro fuel pump, flash tuned. It had a std exhaust with center muff removed at time of that dyno. I have fitted a 3.5" stainless X-Force exhaust system which has made a big difference. Don't know current power figure's yet as I want to get a few things done before getting it retuned. If you decide on not using the filter screen I suggest the use of a high quality filter like Purolator or K&N (yes they do a oil filter for about $25), change everytime you do oil change, and use a good oil perferrerbly synthetic. If you can't get away from not using the small filter at least look at using a after market inline filter like system 1. Have it plumbed into the line in a easy to access place, this way you can easily check regularly and will have a larger filter surface area so won't be such a risk like oem filter. Don't forget to ditch the oem filter though. Just say your engine destroys a big end / main bearing and that grinded metal gets through the low quality oil filter that your mechanic fitted it would clog the tiny mesh screen filter quicker than you could say oh sh*t and then it would be bye bye turbo as well. The other thing I feel is a problem is when the lifters wear out people will think to put a thicker oil in to make them quite, this will have flow problems with the path to the turbo with the oem mesh filter fitted and will cause turbo failure's especially if the filter is partially clogged. I may lose 10 000k's on turbo life due to the mesh filter not fitted but since I will be using high quality oil filter and syn oil and doing oil changes every 5 000k's with a filter change each time, I feel I wolud gain turbo life. Mine you it will cost me a extra $20 to $25 dollars to use syn oil plus $10 for the purolator filter each oil change.
-
Just ditch the screen altogether as if you try and clean it looks like it is clean, but then shine a bright led light through it and you will find it is still clogged pretty badly. I spent ages with cleaning solution and compressed air trying to remove the blocked gauges, and in the end it was still half clogged. I fitted new "O" rings on to the filter and these fowled on the step up insde housing when trying to push it in and the filter snapped. (very flimsy and $64 from ford and you may have to order one in) . I have run mine now for about 8000 klm's with no problems. Mine also started to get hot and make a bit of a dry sound shutting down but now it is all fine and lucky I checked it when I did as the same would have happened to me. Is your exhaust turbine housing undamaged? If so would you sell it to me, that's if you are purchasing a whole new turbo. PM if you do.

Has anyone got a contact number for these mods? I so much want to add those pipes and spoiler kits. What sort of cost you reakon they charge, cost to fly them down under and get the works done. Can just see it now roof removed pipes reaching for the sky and will be able to get power to the ground once they fit up the body kit. Hope gmh havn't already snapped them up yet. Dam they have! there already doing there magic with the ve bommerdore.

If you ask me the guy in the $400K supercar has paid $340K to much. Since it can't beat a $64K Taxi. What I call it is spending your hard earned wisely. Nothing better than having a cheap performance car that sends the rich boys crying to there mummy. "Mummy I don't want this POS Ferrari because it got beat by a TAXI" I had this guy today on a R1 Yam at the Christmas tree saying how much he liked my car though it was a Ford. I replied yes there the better make. He says yeh they make the best 6's but not the 8's. I say there not that bad once you edit them. Light changes and he tries to smoke me. Man did he get a shock when he found out he only put on about 1/2 to 3/4 car length. One more 297 ss ute black learnt not to play with a Turbo Ford as well. Had anyone noticed the large numbers of boys in blue Brisbane to Gold Coast this long weekend. What was going on, some sort of get the hoons task force. It's a good thing I was behaving all weekend not exceding the speed limit. And actually seeing the boys in blue do some work for once was good, just hope they were not just revenue raising and where actually out helping people in need.
-
They got anymore? How long have you had the T56 in? How much power you putting out? Was it a Turbo box or non turbo? Is there any strength improvement with the turbo box? How does the difference fell in power in top gears and what is min speeds for 5th and 6th gear. Is picking the right cog a issue eg 2nd going to 3rd easy to go 5th instead?
-
Are you referring to the new Haltech E8 & E11v2 that may replace the oem computor. Just noticed in street fords issue 25 page 117. It states these are latest additions that can manage variable cam timing, interfacing with digital dashes, boost control and just about every moving part on the engine, also that it is packed with features more than you will ever likely use. Hope it is a new option so we can have the freedom to tune our own cars. If it isn't full replacement well I would say go with the flash tuner.
-
Ok I know what your saying. Just for instance the ZF box came from the Aston Martin did it not. Ford own Aston Martin and designed and built this system and put it into a car. The BA turbo was also brought into the market from testing carried out by Garrett and Ford, so why do you all think it is not possible for Ford to be using this new turbo technology. We don't know much about the Orion do we. How do we know there hasn't been BA-BF test cars being tested with this turbo design over the last few years. Someone mentioned on this thread about how the orion is going to blow the crummy outa the water, I think this person also had inside info, this turbo design will do it. Tab if you had something new and wanted it to stay quite would you do it in your back yard or in a location no one knows of? These picture's of the suspected Orion may just be decoys to distract everyone from the real Orion being tested outback or some where there is unsuspecting eye's. Or maybe it all can just be my hopes that his turbo technology does happen. Then again if there is a big improvement over the BF my value of my BA XR6T will decline even more, So maybe I should be praying it does not happen.
