I raced the 400h against a viper on a roll start.. he couldn't catch up. lol Yeh the guy in the viper was probably pissing his pants with lauffer & his eyes where filling with tears when this idiot in this battery car tries to run him. What are these wa*ks on thinking they have a battery powered mini bus that beats Enzo's, vipers and GT Mustangs and also jap bikes.
  2. Great price there if it is a genuine monza. Just currious, Those picture's don't seem to have the MONZA Logo stamped in the top. The one I purchased does, I purchased from Autobarn and paid $550. Do you think that these one's on ebay might be a cheap nasty version like someone else has mentioned. This one I have is very well made and looks as good as any other I/C I have seen except one's that have been mirror polished. I have just purchased a Plazmaman plenum and pipes to run full short path intake setup and will be selling this I/C if I can get a reasonable price for it (New in box). Don't mind it you want to do a pick up to save postage cost. Also have the 4 piece I/C to throttle body Plazmaman pipe (Goes in front of battery and under light to monza I/C) This is also new and not used and includes all blue hoses and clamps. I also bought this a Battery box and pod pipe as well but will be keeping this as it will suit the new setup. PM if interested with offer on the I/C and Throttle body to I/C Pipe. I will be posting up soon on the for sale section once I have taken all the picture's.
  3. Can you give me a picture of what the flange area looks like on the bottom half of the manifold looking into it from flange to top half. Just want to see differance to std with butterfly and turbo non butterfly. Cheers Paul
  4. Yes getting same thing at first I though it may have been my lock nut in door pocket but no, then thinking maybe key/ key fob hitting steering wheel or column. Then there could be the suspension bushes. Looks like it is common so make sure if you discover to let everyone know what it is as I will if I get to the bottom of it.

  7. Can you give me contact details. I already have fitted AP Racing 330mm 2 piece with 4 pot front and would not mind getting some rear 4 pots to match. Do you know what he charge's for the rear set and if I can just get the black version so to match front.
  8. What is the go with the poll? It has 20 votes but it is saying total 29 votes? 5 out of 20 have had a coil fail. At that the 75% for no failure is correct.
  9. Thanks ninka. Don't want a rattly sounding engine. Do the CP's only rattle when cold or all the time. How much where the Mahle's and where do you suggest to purchase? Are these the same brand as the oem gen3 pistons? Just that when I worked at zupps these where the piston ordered for replacement in batch's every week. May have been a better piston to replace the original crate engine's poorly machined versions. Does Federal Mogal (TRW) do a piston to suit?
  10. Ok trying to follow your topic and just wondering if my problems at the moment are due to having traction and the driveline sensors have gone into protective mode. My car was orig a T5 BA XR6 with 275rwkw pre X-Force exhaust. Mods include Injectors,Valve springs, fuel pump, excede clutch and custom flash tuned. Car was running 19x265x30 nankangs and would turn the tyre's on boost 1st and 2nd gear with traction light coming on and not doing anything for stopping wheel spin, you could not turn TC off unless you turned car off and restarted. Now with the proxy 4 Toyo's it is on thee edge on breaking traction through boost in 1st and the TC light just flickers. I had been driving for a week or 2 when 4am one morning gave if a boot full in 3rd and boost skiped to 21psi due to cold air (normally runs at the 12 psi throughout the day) and all was fine till the next squirt where it started to pop and carry on. The car has not returned to normal even after reflashing tune. Do you think it may have tripped a protection sensor and is stopping me from WOT accelleration. I can get it to rev cleanly if I slowly apply the throttle or when it starts popping ease off and then re floor it. What do you think?

Do as the Japanese did back in WWII, drilled holds in everything to make their planes lighter to fit more on aircraft carrier, be able to take off with a shorter take off, and in crease flying distance to bomb the sh*t out of Pearl Harbour. So grab some hole saws and drill bits and get to work may save some weight and strenght maybe retained if done properly, legal don't think so. Blitz do a FG bonnet that is QLD DOT approved this may save weight. Fit light weight fixed posittion seats but then again maybe not legal. Replace steering arms with cromolly tubular items. Remove insulation. Strip completely and acid dip body and panels. Other than that just remove all panels and glass, may look sh*t and the boys in blue may not be happy.
  12. Ok phoon boys, Iam looking at updating my XR6 T to a F6 body kit but is it ok as I currently have more power than a F6 and will be upgrading to approx 450rwkw. The funny thing is it has cost me way less. I think he has done a great job as imagine if you where in his shoe's not being able to afford a F6 and having to drive a XT around. You should be proud that he has choosen the F6 body kit as that shows it is the pick of the lot. As for the XR8 bonnet how do we know he isn't running a modified plenum with big pipes over the rocker cover, being the bonnet for clearance. And this is going to hurt, What is the quickest street reg BA/BF in AU, Don't think it's a F6!
  13. What price are they and where do you suggest I purchase from? You have used them on the Argo rods? How are they for noise? And what boost and power can they handle? I will be also looking for a trustworthy good engine builder to build and fit it as I have not the time to do it at present. Can you give me any name's for this that are located South QLD?

    Checking plugs tommorrow The custom was done by can't remember but can still remember the previous owner saying he was dealing with Romano and that he was useless at getting it right and the guy he mentioned sorted it out nicely for him and it has been running so well till now. The fuel pump was fitted prior to me purchasing the car. It is another thing I will be checking due to the poor quality hoses. It is starting to do it more often now and it go like this. Pick say 3rd gear stand on it hard with low revs and no problem till boost hits boost (If was plugs it should do it as soon as a heavy load is applied). Then it starts sounding like it has a blocked exhaust (Why I susspected the Cat) and starts popping and spluttering. However if you only hold approximately half throttle it runs throught to redline without a problem. When I do this it max's out at a tad over 10psi all the way. I can start it doing this as the boost climbs then flatten it and no problem except it feels way down on power. Where as since the exhaust was fitted it would hold it's 12 psi with first early morning stab flarring up to 20psi followed by constant 15psi while air is cold, then throughout the rest of the day It would hold a steady 12psi. The car was originally tuned with a 12psi High tune , 12psi soft and valette (not sure on the speling but the person who parks your car for you). The day it played up: 4am heading to V8's Willowbank rd, I had a short quick run with a T ute which I passed easily even though having to feather the throttle due to the 20psi and excede not liking it. From there pulled into Macaca's to purchase breaky in drive thru, then proceded from there and gave it a boot full and it started to play up.
  15. I think it can be tested by checking the resistance ohms? Can anyone comfirm this and what should the resistance be.
  16. The system sucks. I have suffered back injury due to a companies poor safty procedure's, Workcover turned around and said because Iam over 30 that the injury is degenertive wear. (Fu*k Iam a old worn out man) Anyway I paid for my own studies in Auto CAD which was only available as a part time Cert 3/ Diploma, hence being part time I received no assistance from Centalink. I wanted to reabilitate myself as living on benifit would not support me and my wife and 4 children. I found part time work working at a petrol station but due to my back was only able to about 3 days a week. I did not want to sit back on a pension as we would not survive. We had to sell our house as maintence and repayments could not be made. (However if you rent you get rent assistance but no help if you have a morgage). While I was working part time and doing study they Centerlink kept making me do work for the dole and I had to keep going to these and signing up till they sorted it out as I would tell them that if I am at work for the dole and my employer (petrol station) called me in to do a evening shift I would have to turn down the paid shift as my back would be in to much pain from doing this stupid work for the dole. The amount of stuffing around I copped was unbeleiveable, I was even thinking about just taking the pension so I could get away from them stuffing me around. Here I was wanting to return to work getting no assistance and them doing everything to stop me from getting back to work. Thanks to my current employer as I am able to do my job very well full time and they are very understanding when I have to have a day off or two due to my back. It still hasn't fixed centerlink thought as my wife has been on a disability support pension most of her life due to a car accident when she was 7. I still have to declare my weekly income as it affects her payment and Iam a low income earner, and because they have me do that I keep getting letters from them saying I must attend a work directions appointment or our payment will be stopped. So everytime this happens I have to spend like 30 minute's or more on the ph to each centerlink and work directions explaining that I am in full time work and I keep getting these appointments due to the fact I have to declare my income fortnightly because of the wife situation. Christmas time my company closed for 4 weeks and I went into centerlink with my details for my holiday payments and what do you know when I lodged the fortnight form they suspended our payment as I had not worked for the fortnight even though I was on paid leave. I was furious as you know what is like at this time of year. I asked what they wanted me to do as if there was any chance of a person with a bad back finding work over christmas even as I was on paid leave. Another time they hit us with a over payment of $500 as I hadn't declared the wife's income even though they are the one's paying her, her only income. I sorry if it offends anyone but I feel the Government and centerlink are fu*king idiots only interested in there big wage rise's. All the hassle I have have trying to work for a living and these drug fu*ked idiots get away with it. I do ask don't stereo type all people on a benifit as some are trying to get back into the work force but keep getting shut doors. Bring on the urine testing I support that idea fully as these people usually have a dealing bussiness as well which earns them more in say 3- 4 months than I would earn in a year . It would work a treat, only thing is we would have to make sure our processions where secure or these maggits would take them. And sorry about this huge babble

Just curious to how many people have had coil problems as I may have one myself and have heard of alot of other people saying they have had coils fail. What is people's thoughts on the followering. Coils are having short life spans due to being covered up and holding heat build up which is shortening their life span. There life span is shortened even more when the engine has been tuned for higher outputs as they run hotter due to the hotter turbo tempeture's. Do you thing if a duct for cool air to enter and a exit hole for the heat to disperse would help prolong the life span. Maybe even set up a PC fan to do it.
  18. I have a set of Argo rods and am wanting to know what people have used and what there feedback has been on the pistons of choice and also what rings I should use. However I will not use acl piston's ever again after 3 different engines I know of have all broken the ring lands, and these engines where non blown. keep in mind I will be looking at near to 450rwkw out of this with the lowest boost to achieve it.

  20. I am chasing supply and fitting of Sat Nav and rear camera to my BA XR6T sedan. Wheather it's just the SAT NAV or a Car PC setup. Please give me your recommendations, descriptions and pricing if able. Iam looking at doing this ASAP and will be a cash deal. I do want a professional job and of corse no damage to my vehicle with fittment.

    How do you mean something in the tune, I have been on the same custom tune for over 3 months with no problem till now. The change of gearbox was fine with no problem till approx 2 weeks later. I have reflashed the tune aswell with no change. Might try the soft tune to see if that makes a differance. Another thing I hadn't thought about is how long do the O2 sensors last and could a faulty sensor cause these random playing up? Prior to doing the exhaust every now and then I would start car and it would run a little rough and you give it some throttle to clear it and no revs, turn it bnack off and restart and all is fine. This has not happened since the fittment of the x-force system approx 2 months ago. This I feel is maybe a sticky fuel regulator or fuel pump or could it be a O2 sensor sensor problem. Maybe the exhaust shop cleaned it hence no more start up problem. Maybe it's this little gremlim showing it's head again and getting worse but at 10+ psi. have I mentioned if you nail it once it passes 10psi it pops but if you get off it and then on again it clears and runs clean. So what I gather it is doing it when it is under extreme load and over 10psi. Looks like it's going to be a busy weekend coming as I want to get to the bottom of it. Anyone Logan local who has a dianostic scanner please let me know as this may save me hours of fault checking. Or can someone point me in a direction to getting one that is proven compatable with a BA XR6 T. I have been thinking of purchasing a Sniper tune box and software with there dianostic scanner, has anyone got one to let me know if it is as good as they claim.
  22. I just won and received this F6 and all was legit. I wish. Man that Scum on that judge Judy clip man that was ORSM. First time I have really like her out come. I have been had a few time's myself and Ebay make it so hard to do anything about it. Even when you have all the evidence and they have all the transcribes between you and the seller, they still can't do jack crap about it. This guy sold me a new FPV dash cluster, it was pictured and described, however sends me a XR cluster. So be carefull who you deal with and make sure they have a good feedback history before bidding.

    It is a custom tune and I have been running this tune for over 3-4 months, this is how I purchased the car and it has been running very good till now on this 12psi tune. The spark plugs where replaced just prior to me purchasing the car 3-4 months ago (irdiums). As I mentioned the only change has been the gearbox and there was no problem till about 2 weeks after. Iam thinking of a lot of possibilities and will start with checking the condition of the plugs and gaps, and at same time will test the coils. If that is all good I will check to see if it could be the so called bad hose's supplied with the Walbro fuel pump to see if they have deteriorated. At the same time check internal filter and see if there is any water in the fuel, which shouldn't be as we havn't had any rain in a long time unless this servo is adding it to it's supply.

    Well it's not the Cat. Busy weekend and only had time to remove and check Cat. It's still doing the same. What makes it strange is it is only doing it sometimes. I was thinking maybe fuel surge but it is doing it on a full tank. My next step will be to check the plugs and coil packs. Also something I hadn't mentioned was that I had topped up my tank with BP Ultimate as there wasn't a Shell garage on my trip to the V8's last Sunday. I don't use Ultimate as everytime I had my car would ping on boost in second. So just wondering if maybe this fuel may have caused a problem. Eg dirty causing regulator or pump problems, maybe it's due for a new filter. I may need to check my intake piping as I think there is a air leak noice that is new. Has anyone had a intake leak that would cause these problems? Turbo seems to be bolted tight and hasn;t come loose like stories I have heard, and all engine bay plumbing is tight. Could wastegate problem cause this popping missing problem? Or BOV sticking. I have noticed if I only use say 50% trottle there is no problem. Another thing is I have a Excede clutch that is slipping when it spike's past 15psi and was wondering if the ECU might be thinking wheel spin is happening and limiting the engine. This has never happened even when the T5 was fitted so Iam thinking why it may have changed now. If the back brake hose has been damaged from being on hoist would this be a cause. Just have to get all the Idea's so I can check once I get time. Thanks for all the feedback so far.
  25. If that chick got to drive a Nizpro prepped F6 I would think they would need to find a good auto detailer to clean her seat, concidering how excited she was getting over the no brain car. Hey if she wanted to she could drive my T for a week as long as I was there to watch her get all excited. So what has been happening with these Nizpro prepped F6's is it still happening or was it all a hoax?
