  1. Did you make your own brackets with this. I am guessing this was not an ebay kit that's getting around. If so did you use the same brackets? I know I saked in the other forum but did you bypass the radiator?
  2. Yeah no worries so 245 is the go on 8 inchs. that's why I ran 8s and 9s on my Skyline. I had 255s on the rear and 235s on the front. This worked well. Just seems not may Ford guys seem to run with this. Maybe with traction control 245s are enough on the rear running big power. With my stock car it wants to loose traction now with only 235 factory tyre. Hate to think when I get more power.
  3. Looking for your post now. Just one question before I go. Did you keep it inseries with the radiator or remove it all together? I am thinking of leaving the fog lamps out and fitting some black mesh to fill the hole a bit. Should get bucket loads of air.
  4. Generally seems people are going for 19 inch rims and keeping 8 inch wide all round. I still have 17s and am thinking of going to 18s. I know 19s fill the guards better but cost is an issue. What I would find more important is to get 9 or 9.5 inch width on the rear for some big rubber. This is what I did in my Skyline days for traction. Hate to think what 235 or 245 tyres are like for traction on 300rwkw cars. Are people running wider tyres on the rears? What is the widest you can get on Ford 18x8s?
  5. I here what you are saying and I will possibly be attending a KPM dyno day later to compare to others. Also may get it dynoed where I used to have my Skyline done. More to be able to compare the two cars overlaying the two dynos on the one graph. One thing I can say my dyno was a bench level figure as stock before I have work done. You would think I would get a lower figure if anything so it looks better after the mods. To test cars on the drags we would then need the same driver to keep consistent. I will contest to being a crap driver. I ran a 12.8 in the Skyline and a seasoned driver ran a 12.4. Must admit I only ever went to the Wednesday night runs with a porely prepped track. Think now I have an Auto it will be easier.
  6. In the process of swapping the fuel pump over and the old filter looks like this. Not sure if it would effect fuel delivery or not but looks filthy to me.
  7. Anyone in Adelaide have any submersible fuel line left over or know where I can get a hold of some. Today is no good as shops shut maybe tomorrow Easter Saturday. Yes I knew I may need some but was given a hot tip on how to re-use the original lines which didnt work. I will pay or replace whatever. Thanks Greg 0412075359.
  8. It was at 5psi of boost right across the graph. Didnt print that one off.
  9. Yeah I was thinking about yours. But it was a manual compared to an auto. Wonder if it makes any difference. It was a manual wasnt it?? Yours seems to be a bit of a freak as well.
  10. Maybe as factory they can be in a very bad or alternatively good state of tune. Edit may only improve a good tune by a little and a bad tune by a lot. Bit of a ramble there but hopefully you get my drift or soon to be more drift. Yeah. Cant wait for Easter to end.
  11. Yeah as far as I know. It was owned by a Pastor and had all the servicings up to 45k and I picked it up with 51k. He new nothing about cars and only got a T as the dealership said it would have good re-sale value.
  12. Well I have had my baseline dyno done today. Only mod so far is a CAI. To come next week is springs, injectors, IC exhaust mods and edit next week. I am really happy with the power so far.
  13. Yeah no worries Allan. I had your setup in mind. The ebay kit was designed with the brackets for in front of the radiator but can see as the drivers side is better. gilfxrt I think you will find that the connections to the trans lines for the radiator are on this side. Without looking at it yet I am assuming this is where you plumb in the cooler. Hence drivers side. Once I start removing the bar etc it will all become more evident.
  14. Over the weekend I am removing my front bar to fit a PWR Intercooler and my ebay PWR trans cooler. Normally the trans cooler kit is to fit in front of the radiator but I am guessing it may not with the larger IC. Where would it get the most air in between the IC and radiator where it is designed or under the front guard where other people have mounted it? Thanks
  15. Hey Phoon just been looking at your ebay site and notice that for those of us who do not wish to run three gauges or may want to keep it an option for later not all the cups need to be fitted. It would mean a hole such as the pic. It then got me thinking that you could provide a blank to neaten it up. May be too hard to tool for but just a thought. Any chance you could mock one up with only two cups fitted. Here is a pic off ebay so people know what I am on about.
  16. Hi all. After a twin gauge pod. Xcite seem to look good. Not too keen on the SS. Phoon stuff looks real good but tripple. Phoon will you be doing twins? Then there is FPV but wont fit cobalt gauges I think. I basically love the look and am only really keen on the boost gauge side of things and will fill the other hole with whatever (AFR/oil etc). Which have people gone with and fits the best looking factory. I have seen the threads involving the above and think the xcite is the closest so far but one didnt look like it fitted properly. Thanks
  17. I have been reading through the threads regards needing a fuel pump. I am having a tune shortly involving a larger IC, injectors and springs. Current standard fuel pump is 50000km old and some say should be ok. Have these been known to lean out more often than not. I am not interested in external swirl pots etc at this stage. I have read the Walbros are the go for value. Now off ebay these can be bought for $135 but some say these are copies. Has anyone actually bought a dud off ebay even if the seller stipulates its genuine non chineese copy. Otherwise its $248 from a local retailer. Please only real world experiences not opinions as reading back through the threads there seems to be a lot of opinions confusing the issue. Thanks

    Redline

So what do people generally rev to. Does springs allow more rev or does it depend on tune?
  19. Another question. What trans oil is good to top up the oil with when fitting a cooler. I assume I will need whatever Ford serices the cars with.
  20. Can anyone tell me why I may not be getting persoanl e-mails to forums I have subscribed to. Also for PMs. I have turned everything on that needs to be in My Controls. I have another Forum that does the same thing but another that works. Thinking it may be a setting on my computer blocking it maybe. Thanks

    Redline

How far can we reve these cars? Auto BA. Both in stock form and with upgrade including springs. There is no redline mark.
  22. To anyone using these what has been the best way to use it. Through the radiator or just air cooled or both? Says its optional. Thanks
  23. Hi all. I have had my T for a week now and working a few things out. BA 4spd auto. Previous experiences with Autos was if cruising around in drive you could just bump it back a gear manually and boot it. With this one you need to push it left still not really knowing what gear you are in you do something. Change down. Then it comes in to its own being sequential. Short answer is to leave it in sports mode so one step is done but if you go into manual mode it stays there until you go out of Sequential and back. Just wondering how other people drive theres?
  24. Let me know how you go and where you get one? I am in Adelaide and havent found anything here. Little reluctant to buy one from just net pics unless it comes recommended. Cheers
  25. No worries thanks for the replies. I was only wondering what to hit up with the Leather cleaner. Little annoying not having a foot rest. Have had a couple of Autos in the past and they are usefull. May just put one in. Probably on another forum and will look but what leather gear are people using?
