  1. Any of you guys have your wheels fitted yet. Still keen on some pics. Thanks
  2. Yeah I would like to see pics. Also what are you doing with your 19s? Cheers
  3. Have anyone seen these fitted up? I had a similar wheel on my old Skyline and these come in 19s. If you have any pics even better. Thanks
  4. Stick some pics up when you do. I have been considering them as well. Do they need the Hub ring? Also from above post are the 255s on a 8 inch rim?
  5. Just wondering what is the widest rubber people run on their FPV wheels? I assume most run 245 all round being an 8 inch wheel.
  6. I have a clutch issue but not with my XR6T. Its on a Frontera 4WD with 135K Km. Doesnt do 4WD work only tows a boat. Had felt a little jittery for a while. One day it had a sticky point through the pedal. Didnt drive for a week and the pedal had gone all soft. Still drove around the block ok but the pedal feels all soft. Is it clutch? Or maybe air in the lines or something. Thanks
  7. Hi all. I have been looking at Portable Media devices on e-bay and am wondering if anyone has one. In particular ones that have a 300-500 gig hard drive. They play most formats and have 5.1 sound out. Stand alone. Are they any good?
  8. Not doubting you but that's a pain in the ass if the turbo needs to come off. Is it an access thing to replace the actuator. I had a Skyline and used to change them weekly. Took me 2 mins. Must have a look at the T. Havent had it long and looked too closely yet.
  9. Yeah had V Power in the car when it was tuned. No different to any others. Used as I get 4c off due to being a Coles shopper. Made 298 rwkw.
  10. I only had mine for a week before the tune. But was getting around 400km around town and probably 550 on the highway. Hoping for better with the tune but its all been foot down for now. The above results was with speed limit driving. Crusing around at 60 km it should be telling you about 8L per 100 consumption.
  11. Think this is a little Harsh. Maybe I dont fully understand the definition of Hoon. If its someone who regularly goes out of his way to put peoples lives at risk and drive dangerously and is this guy then, maybe you are justified. I like to drive hard where safe. In the hills or quiet country roads. I agree 60 zones is not the go. However if I were to be caught and could be labeled a hoon. Would I get told to..FO from the forums. I am a 36 year old and never been caught doing the wrong thing. Except the odd camera fine. Maybe lucky or good management. I do love a hoon in the right place however. Lets hope he has learnt his lesson and by being on the forums may learn something from the older heads. His fines would have paid for a few track days or petrol to more remote areas to have fun. I say hang around. Enjoy the forums. Do the right thing in populated areas.
  12. Hi Dingha. Drop a pic in from side on. I am trying to decide how low I want mine and would like to see how just SL looks. The cooler is working a treat.
  13. BOV removed or replaced.
  14. I talk from my Skyline days when everything wasnt legal. Not going down that track again with the XR6T. Yes lighter coloured cars will stain. Cant remember smell being an issue. As a stock car it made 15 rwkw above an after market cat. Never new of anyone being caught out for cat reasons they were for everything else. Get defected, take bits off, get it off defect put bits back on. People get pretty skilled at turning there cars to stock and back again. Its funny how we can have track cars without cats, but on the road they are required. I have no data to back it up but wonder how well they really work. I have heard after a few 1000 km they are not much chop anymore.
  15. Because to mod and keeping a stock cat will hold you back and eventually burn out. Gutting is cheaper than an aftermarket cat.
  16. Dont forget the cat is covered in heat shield as well. You actaully cant really see it looking under the car when not on a hoist. Then you have to cut it open to see inside. Is EPA going to cut your cat open to tell.
  17. Probably brakes the same. Maybe a little spungy initially but still bedding in. The test is how long it can keep braking under heavy conditions. The pads should handle more and well the slots do what they do. I still need some decent fluid yet.
  18. Yeah I initially was just going to clean them up as I dont mind the clean look but they still looked pitted. As I had some black VHT for the rusty hubs I thought why not. Think it offsets the shadow chrome wheel nicely. Looks better than this photo taken with a flash. Leaving the bar silver works good to I think. Not too much colour.
  19. I recently fitted some RDA slotted rotors bought cheap of another forum member. To keep it at a low cost am trying QFM pads. Painted the calipers and rotor hubs black as well. Fitted under Kaotiks. Rotors and pads cost me $145 all up with machining. Probably will go bigger brakes later. These are still the 295mm BA rotos.
  20. I say do it. I want to see the results for my own interest. How would you get caught? At worst you get a defect to have it checked then swap it out. Unless they call EPA out and do a check then compound your car. High powered Ts would cook a stock cat quick time anyway. There may be a lot of defective cats out there and people dont know it. 2c

    Rusty Hubs

Out of interest how much is the POR 15. I have found someone who sells it in Adelaide and may get some next week. I have noticed it can handle 370 deg C where caliper stuff runs at 900 deg C. Can you see any issues. I will use some on my boat as well which is why I am keen on it for both jobs.
  22. Interesting. I consider myself grown up but love to hoon. I am 37 years old and have an XR6T for the performance and use it. Spirited drives through the hills, over use of power when overtaking. These by definition now days is hooning. If I didnt like driving performance cars or use them to potential I would have a NA big car or a 4cyl especially at petrol prices now days. Im sure your in the same boat. You cant tell me you have an XR6T and not broken the road laws in it. Even just once to see how it goes.
  23. What is the point of having an XR6T and not hoon. I bet everyone here puts their foot down at some time. Just need to pick your time. Or are all the grown up people driving XR6Ts like 4 cylinders?
  24. So did the car come opted with dual climate and BF seats? Sets the car off well? When do you get wheels?
  25. Yeah I can see where you have cut. Doesnt really make it clear as to why but I havent seen the grill yet. I am sure it will all become clear when I do. Would it be easier and neater with the bumper off? Thanks for the pics.
