  1. My choice of polish is Prima. I find the Prima Swirl works good with a RO machine and a little bit of Aussie Gold Quick detailer. Always removes imperfections for me.
  2. I don't need to work on figures I can give you millions of day to day examples of this occuring. For example recently 3 17yr old males stole a ve v8 and an Astra as the proceeds of a break and enter. They then went on several weeks in the stolen car to commit 7 fail to pays, 9 break and enters and egaged police in 3 high speed pursuits all which got terminated due to speed. There are hundreds of examples like this and I see and others on here see them everyday they go to work.
  3. Alot more than what you think are used in further crimes. Cars are often stolen as proceeds of break and enters. The car is then used for transport of the stolen goods and more often than not to commit another break and enter or offence. Its rare that they just steal them for a joy ride. The people that steal them are criminals and car theft is just one of many offences on their criminal history.
  4. Im no detailer but the order I use is 1. Wash 2. Clay bar 3. Wash again 4. Polish (polishes have different levels of abrasives so depending on the paint condition a less abrasive polish would be best to start with) 5. Wax That is if you want to go all out but obviously you could skip step 2 and 3 if you don't have the time. Byis basically a sealer and protects the paint and gives extra shine after you have polished. Polishing restores the paint finish taking out any imperfections. By waxing and not polishing first all you are doing is sealing in any imperfections eg. swirls and alike. Hope this helps.
  5. It wasn't a HWP car and they had terminated due to the danger. So by their policy they backed off and were doing the right thing in relation to policy. In relation to shooting the tyres or the driver, the car would then totally be out of control. At high speed or even low speed the car would be a wrecking ball taking out anything and anybody until it came to a stop. More people would die if cops were allowed to do this. Road spikes are the way to go in my opinion. Usually they slow the offending vehicle down or the vehicle blows up which usually brings the pursuit to a peaceful end (in terms of injuries).
  6. Depends if the misses has this child tomorrow. If she doesn't I will be their.
  7. You didn't mention the change of tuner to me.
  8. From memory after talking to Sly it's next door to you Kev.
  9. Great results Spiko. I understand how the cams can make adifference but how does removing the VCT make a difference (not that I doubt it does just interested to know how)?? Also what Atomic cams are in the beast?? Cheers Rhys
  10. The ring slides up from the plastic part. There are some small tabs underneath that you have to push in. I used a flat blade screwdriver. It does take some force because it is a tight fit. From memory there are 4-5 tab's but once you get a couple unclipped it comes out easy. If your still struggling I can take some pictures tomorrow.
  11. Any video footage of the run??
  12. Im a maybe at this stage. FYI that isn't a speed camera half way down osley it is a noise camera.
  13. Hard driving (causing heat) and hotweather can caus it. Is it hot up there at the moment? Sometimes a auto tranny cooler may help.
  14. Don't think Jim is into fudging figures.
  15. I think it will last. I beleive that you had it tuned at Tunehouse?? If you did Jim has tuned many BA motors over 370rwkw that are still going after years. I don't think you will have a problem, your boost level is low which will help heaps. Enjoy the power.
  16. Anyone got any photo's of Roland's car??
  17. Con at Wollongong Automotive Services (WAS) tunes a fair few of these with decent results. He mostly does old school carby stuff but he has also loves the new stuff. He is located next to hang dog in Auburn Street.
  18. Goodluck. Hope someone is planning on filming this!

  21. Try these may not be right but it's a start. LAKIN Custom Plate Brackets
  22. What parts have you used in your current motor? ie rods pistons, oil pump gears etc etc.
  23. It's a great g/box for drag racing and weekend warrior. I personally wouldn't use it for everyday driving. With a decent sized stally and 3 gears fuel economy is not the best. All depends on what your aftre but if your not going to race it then I wouldn't do it.
