  1. sh*t man....I hope she feels better soon mate....:( All in all......considering this and the weather......Id be inclined to just postpone it till another night..... :sungum: What does everybody else feel about this?
  2. Why not Danny?......look forward to catching up mate....
  3. Only 4 days out mate.....we need a decision here....
  4. postponed till better weather.....
  5. Obviously you intend to race this thing right?..... have you considered what class its going to fit into?...
  6. With a more user friendly diff ratio this time eh'??.....
  7. Add one more to the list!!......
  8. You saw that??......didnt think anybody would notice!!.....
  9. Sure was....I was there with HERXRT and it was wall to wall with some nice machinery.....
  10. Another vote for option 1..... Worth the drive to Cessnock at least....
  11. A mate posted this on another forum.......just amazing for those into old cars and bikes.... http://www.coolestone.com/media/3728/America039;s-Ultimate-Barn-Find/
  12. Best advice I can offer is to get the car checked over thoroughly by a service guy you trust.....or even get an NRMA inspection. The F6 Typhoon is one of the best sports sedans ever built in Australia and theres plenty out there to choose from.... Try and find the best, unmodified, low klm example you can within your budget and check its history. Welcome to the site mate....as youve discovered, there's no shortage of info here about these cars......good hunting
  13. Can anybody tell me the correct ride height for a "stock" BF XR6T front and rear please? And the points from where you take the measurements? Thanks guys......
  14. .. .....Absolutely!.....don't spend anything till you've talked to him.
  15. It would be a great run for sure......but Ive got reservations about how Id go getting home from work and then to the meet point at that time of day.... As Sammy has said.....the roads will be chocca with those coming home from work and going away for easter..... Another small thing to consider is that double revenue....err sorry...double demerits will be in force by that time too.....
  16. Agreed 100% with Senna.....Ive now tried several different brands and types of tyres now and for price vs grip vs wear the Yokohama comes up as the best all round so far...
  17. I'll be in it if I can get away from work early enough.....
  18. The fix......got this from a Ford dealer... Go up to the shops and buy a small can of Glen20 (Country scent works best)... Take a new pollen filter and soak it with Glen20.....install and close the windows..... Start the car and turn your A/C on full bore......leave car running for about 10 mins. After 10 mins, turn off A/C, put heater on full for 10 mins and empty remains of the can over your carpets, interior and down the vents..... Give it another 10 min and let the car cool down for 5 mins before turning the A/C back on for another 10 mins...... This method got rid of the same musty smell in mine that you have described....
  19. I wanted a stealth look for mine too....so I just sprayed the lower 100mm of the cooler flat black.....paint won't hurt it...
  20. Neat setup Arron....love the bracket youve made to hold the cooler too'.... Although the spiffy braided hoses and fittings look trick......I used Parker "Pushlock" fittings and 836-10 hoses..... For an application that's largely unseen....you'll save heaps using these instead of the shiny stuff mate...
  21. Another thing to consider is a stock XR6T/Typhoon does not have a very large oil pan.....and as the oil flows through a red hot turbo it gets heated up...fast... If the oil overheats the car goes into limp mode.....so to fix this I fitted an oil cooler.... Mounted it under the drivers side headlight and ran a couple of 16mmID. hoses from the filter across the front to the cooler.....this not only gives me the advantage of cooler oil....but also increases the capacity of the oil system by more than a litre..... If you cut some slots in the splashshield in front of the front wheel (as per the pic) you'll get a suction effect as the front wheel spins to draw air through the cooler without having to stuff around with ducting air to the cooler. Hints..... Always use good quality "high-temperature" hose with compatible fittings and use proper clamps along its route to avoid abrasion of the hoses.
