According to the radar, theres a big rain mass over Sydney right now, followed by a big clear patch then more ugly stuff moving in from the west.... Hopefully, we can get this run done and dusted before the next front hits us later tonight...... Well, that's the theory anyway.....
-
Well, after checking the radar, there is weather out west of Picton and Bowral.....but what the hell, its dry as here and I'm itching for a drive..... Cruise is on guys.....see you at Heathcote....8.oopm And don't forget your radios ok.......
-
Pretty much the same here but we haven't had it pouring, just light showers.... Today doesn't matter anyway, it's tomorrow night that counts....and I'm living in hope that it stays reasonably dry for the duration of the cruise.....even if its just the meeting points..... There's also the matter of that causeway at the end of Douglas Park road.....if it floods too much, we'll probably have to give Mt. Annan a miss and come up through Broughton Pass and into Appin instead....but lets wait and see what happens with the weather tomorrow night first. Like I said before, I'll be watching the weather radar tomorrow arvo and come 3.00pm, I'll post up what I'd recommend ok......what else can you do?
-
Mmmm.....maybe I might get ms700 to lead the cruise anyway..... I'm starting to get a little nervous having some of you guys ...err..."behind me" so to speak
-
Excellent.....I was feeling bad about the cruise being possibly weather affected but I'll still be there if its dry or just a little damp..... However, if its pissing down rain, I'm so pleased that ms700 will step in to lead with Robbo bringing up the rear and Ryan and Brandon in the middle.....I'm sure you'll have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable evening guys. As for myself and a few of the others.....we'll be looking for a nice warm pub with a pool table and I'll reschedule a rerun of this cruise for a couple of weeks time ok. Here's hoping, all this will come to nought and we'll have a great dry run on Saturday night As an aside, could everybody please copy a set of the cruise directions from the front page of this thread? Saves me a stack of paper and Im out of ink anyway......thanks.

Now before we get all excited about who's got the biggest gonads in the wet....... . Since joining here, I've been on 2 cruises that were wet, and they were both crap Sure it was good to get out for a run.....but, not being able to stand outside and socialise with everyone, having my car covered in crap, looking at a set of foggies in my mirrors all night, and , if your more than 2 cars back, copping the spray from everyone in front....which, from a cruise leaders point of view, is a pain in the ass because it spreads the group out too much because they just can't see and you have to keep slowing up to let them catch back up......are we having fun yet? When I put this run together, I did it in the dry and it was a great run but there are parts of Mt. Keira road and Douglas Park that have a rock wall on one side, a fair drop into the gully on the other and not much bitumen in between, and, its a two way road not that different to Mac. Pass. only a bit narrower. I reckon would be downright treacherous in wet weather especially if you have a few kws under your right foot......there's even a small ford (not a car you goose, a big trough across the road that fills up with water) that we have to cross as well and if its flooded we'd have to turn back. All in all, I think it'd be a lousy run in wet weather with a group the size of ours and I'd much rather put it off till the dry..... I'm going to give it till Saturday 3.00pm and make a definite decision one way or the other ok. I know everybody's hanging out for a good run guys.....and so am I....but a bit of common sense has got to come into it somewhere and noone wants to go home on the back of a tilt tray.

I was sitting in the lunchroom at a mates workshop back in the late 70's, while he was tuning a set Webers on an old Charger on the chassis dyno....which, as it happened, wasn't tied down.T This was all good until he told the 1st year apprentice, sitting behind the wheel, to give it a rev....that's when the return spring broke and it went straight to wide open throttle...... I got to the door in time to see it doing a massive burnout across the workshop, with terrified apprentice at the wheel frozen in fear....he didn't get hurt, but he looked a little pale when we got him out of the car though... The car had demolished a steel bench, gone halfway through the back wall of the old besser-block factory and also killed the air compressor in its box on the other side of the wall..... After a quick round of the hire joints, we acro-propped the wall so the factory wouldn't fall down while we got the car out.....then came the explaining to the factory owner, not to mention the guy who owned the car as well... The damage bill.....in 70's money, was around 30 odd grand....serious money back then..... We can be thankfull that my mate was standing beside it, and not in front of it, when it jumped the rollers or it could easily have been a much more serious outcome. And all because somebody couldn't spare a minute or so to secure the car......craziness

Ive got my eye on a set of front FPV blue (PBR C6 type) calipers.......so if I get em' I'll be looking for rotors as well since my stockers won't fit.....(wrong width and offset) After what I heard, I wanted to know what options I've got you know.....
-
....thanks nifty.
-
A mate has told me that because they have a different offset and have that elliptical pattern on them......then you can only get them from Ford.... I knew they were thicker, but didn't realise the offset....can they be bought aftermarket?

I scored a set F6 gauges for my car, and have to drill and tap a port for the boost sensor. Then, I checked the oil press. sensor and it looks like the same thread...... Does anybody know what thread they are?.....I thought they were 1/8 NPT but tried a plug to fit and no-go

HOW TO TREAT A WOMAN Wine her. Dine her. Call her. Hold her. Surprise her. Compliment her. Smile at her. Listen to her. Laugh with her. Cry with her. Romance her. Encourage her. Believe in her. Pray with her. Pray for her. Cuddle with her. Shop with her. Give her jewelry. Buy her flowers. Hold her hand. Write love letters to her. Go to the ends of the earth and back again for her. HOW TO TREAT A MAN: Show up naked. Bring chicken wings and beer and don't block the TV.

Always top 5 in Formula Ford, has come within a whisker of the Australian Drivers Championship and she's already had V8 S/car experience..... Personally, I'd love to see her do well.......would be great for V8's too.... My biggest worry would be wether the car would let her down.....

See you on the night.....

The 14th is actually a Saturday night.....while we've had sucess with Friday nights, I figured I'd give Saturday a shot because some of our members have other commitments on Fridays and this will give them a chance to come for a run with us.

A few years back, at the high school where my wife works, every car in the teachers carpark got egged, including our then new XR8, by a disgruntled student who was seen running from the carpark. Even though the little t*rd admitted it, the school did nothing....... Now, Im a great believer in not getting mad but getting even instead.....so I bought a dozen eggs and let em' sit on a shelf in the shed for 3 months. Figuring they were ripe enough.....I paid a visit to this kid at 3.00am......armed with aforementioned eggs, a tube of Loctite and a wheelbrace...... After cracking the eggs into every crack and crevice I could find, I took off two of his rear wheelnuts and put them back on as tight as I could with Loctite, loosened the tyre valve then emptied the rest of the tube into the bootlock..... Figured that made us even.....

I went out on Sun. night and did the reccy for our next night run...... basically, its from heathcote to W/gong, up Mt. Keira Rd, through Douglas Park and finish at Mt. Annan. Im just waiting for a mate to check his work roster and I'll post up a date ok..... Mmmm....mind you, Friday nights aside...I'd also be in a little midweek run if someone else was interested

Ive tried a couple of times to email Scott at Ozegauge and gotten no reply. Are they still going? I want to order some gauges for my car......

What I know about VCM you could probably fit on the head of a pin with a crayon ok..... But when I was researching about putting an edit in my car, the CAPA setup was by far the best option....the've been around since day dot, have dealers everywhere and have the "runs on the board" so to speak..... You have told us about the exhaust, and with an edit you'll see gains straight off the bat, however, do you plan to do anything else? cold air?, injectors? intercooler maybe?.... "Generic" tunes are just that.....they don't take mods. into account and if your going to start modifying your car...,, and want to get the best out of it,..... take it to a pro and get a custom tune to suit your individual setup and driving style...... Seriously....the best thing Ive ever done to mine.......
