Meeting at 8.00pm in the carpark on Washington Drive, Mount Annan for an 8.30pm leave. Leaving the carpark, from Washington Drive, we turn right onto Narellan Rd. At 3kms, turn right into Gilchrist Drive, through the town centre and right onto Geary’s Rd. then left onto Menangle Rd. At 11kms, turn left onto Camden Rd. At 10kms. Turn left onto Douglas Park Rd. At 6.5kms. turn right onto Wilton Rd. then left onto Macarthur Drive. At 4kms, turn left onto Picton Rd, At 16kms turn right onto Mount Keira Rd. and follow for 9kms to the Princes Highway. Note: There are parts of Mt. Keira Rd that are very narrow and care must be taken. The cruise leader will advise of oncoming traffic. At the end of Mt. Keira Rd. we turn right onto the on ramp for the Southern freeway while being mindful of the speed camera (60ks) on the ramp. Follow the freeway for 28kms to the BP/ KFC service station on Princes Hwy at Albion Park for a drink/rest break. After the break we will be taking a U turn and going back up the highway (about a km.) to turn left onto the Illawarra Highway. At 3kms. We turn right at Albion Park shops (still on the Illawarra Highway) and proceed for 8kms to the foot of Mac. Pass. We will stop at the bottom of the pass to make sure everyone is together before going 17kms up the Pass to Robertson pie shop and finish. In order to limit the size of this post, I have included the cruise rules as an attachment....... In the interests of safety, I have made amendments to them, so make sure that you read them and likewise for people you bring or invite as well. Picked up a Power Crank 500CCA for $110 bucks, fits in the stock box and the car seems ok. Thanks guys.....

Need a new battery for my car.....went to the auto elect. and he says it should have more CCA (cold cranking amps) than the stocker which only has 430...... I need a battery that will still fit within the stock shroud, but with a with a few hundred more CCA..... Im assuming that the police cars came out with something better....should I try one of those??? Or can I fit an Oddessy or Optima sealed battery?? What does everyone else run?........thanks guys.

However....I used to have a friend who was a sailor.....and he had what appeared to be WOLOMO tattooed on his willy......when he got excited.....it read.....WOOLOOMOOLOO....no bull The same guy also had a big "W" tattooed on both his butt cheeks so when he bent over it said....well, you know.

Back in 1972 I was a 17yr old kid washing cars at the local Ford dealers...... Now it so happens that they sponsored a Phase3 for Bob Skelton at the time and after Bathurst it just sat round the dealership for ages,......the mechanics just moved it around to get it out of the way...... As a young, confirmed, Ford nut, I drooled over it......paid particular attention when they fired it up.....asked heaps of questions about it to the mechanics......just about washed the stickers off it too....... It became a kind of obsession, I had to have a skid in that car.....even if it was the last thing I ever did....but how? Over a period of several weeks.....(this took planning you know).....I suggested to the sales manager that we could have all the cars clean earlier on Saturday mornings if I started at 6.00am instead of 8.ooam......and he bought it This meant he had to give me a set of keys to the washbay....which, more importantly, also gave me access to the workshop where the car was stored...... After making sure on the Friday that it had fuel, air in the tyres (it still had a set of old wets on it from Bathurst), and a battery charger on it all night...... At 6.00am the next morning I turned the key and it just lit up straight away.....at that hour of the morning.....Christ it was loud.....the clutch almost took two feet to use and the brake pedal was rock hard but felt like it had oil on the rotors (cold brakes) I must have stalled it 3 or 4 times trying to get it out of the driveway before doing a lap of the block ,, even taking it round to my mates house just to show him and prove that Id done it.....before a couple more laps of the block......then back to the workshop before going out and washing cars like crazy...... Might have even gotten away with it except for the old lady across the road complaining about the racket at that hour....... Ive driven a few cars in 5o odd years here, but that car was just the biggest animal Ive ever had my backside in, smoked the bags at will....I never got it past third gear but even just that was enough For as long as I live.....I'll never forget that day

Pass and the've been doing roadworks up there for a while so I want to do a reccy up there before the run because I don't want any surprises on the night. Should be a good run.....start at Campbelltown and back through Douglas Park, down Mt. Keira, freeway to Albion Park BP/KFC then up Mac. Pass...... Im going up to Valla for Easter so Ill do the reccy when I get back and post up the date and details then ok.... Ive also put this reply in the NSW chat section........

Yeah, when I spoke with the auto electrician yesterday, he said that Ford skimped out on putting good batteries in these things......reckons they should have had a couple of hundred more CCAs than what they've got. But as much as I'd like to believe a stuffed battery is causing these cutouts......I just don't think so..

You might have a point there Tab,.....if I leave my lights on without the car running for just ten minutes or so the battery won't have enough to start the car......they tell me the life of a battery is only around three years and my car is exactly three years old this month (and out of warranty) so a new high CCA one is on the shopping list this week. As for the second question, when this "glitch" Ive been telling you about kicks in......its only ever happened when the car is up to temp.... When its cold, it occasionally feels like it starts on only about five cylinders, but none of the engine or ETC lights come on and its only for a few seconds or so....then it comes good and were' away.

Ok....so what did you guys get up to last night?

So far, its done it with the stock tune and the 8lb tune......I haven't tried it with the 11lb tune yet but I'd say it wouldn't make any difference....... Because its intermittent, it doesn't show up when I take my car to the tuner and since the guys at Ford know its been edited, I don't think they'd be able to do much anyway....... I'm just paraniod its gonna give me grief while Im on the highway up north in the middle of the night..... When it happens, the thing loses all power and throttle and I could see that being a bit of a drama when you've got a Bdouble behind you at 110ks you know.....

I'd put the stock tune back in it about a week before it had its first spasm......thinking that whats made it stuff up........ I put the 8lb daily drive deal back in after and thought all was well.......then, this arvo.....car does the same thing......

Thanks Matt:beerchug: ...but Im in Sydney.......ugh I got a custom tune a month ago and its gone like a jet since......until last weekend that is.... Im gonna take it back to the tuner next week......but if he can't find out what it is????? I just figured Id post the question to see if somebody else has had this problem.......

A battered old FC Expensive Daewoo sedan that I bought with three other schoolmates for $20 back in about 1970..... We used to drive it to school and all round the place with a different no. plate on the back to the one on the front Met its fate when one of the guys rolled it in the old clay carpark at Kirrawee one rainy Sunday afternoon (we used to take it up there to do donuts) when things got a little out of hand Was fun while it lasted.......ahh, the things we could get away with back in those days

I had my car edited about a month ago.......was running great till last weekend when it cut out on my wife. She explained that it felt like it had gone into limp mode out of the blue and the ETC light came on...... She shut it off and restarted it and it was all good again....... I took it back to my tuner and it wouldnt do it again......so he said that it sounded like some sort of "glitch" and when she restarted it,it had reset itself......all the same, he plugged in only to find that everything checked ok... This afternoon it did exactly the same thing to me, however, I noticed that the speedo had stopped working just prior to it sounding like it was only running on two cylinders, again with the ETC light on........ I shut it off, restarted it and off she went all good again. Has anyone else had this happen? Im going away next Thursday and I don't want to be having dramas with it while I"m up north......
