  1. Good question actually..... From what I've been told, you need to reset the wheel alignment whenever you fit/alter the ride height on coilovers..... So being the slacker that I am I usually drop the car off with instructions on how high I want it and let the pros set it up for me..... Comes back perfect every time mate.....
  2. That Rspec looks pretty cool......will contact him and check it out.... Thanks Aaron....
  3. Currently on the hunt for a BA-BF F6 Typhoon or a BF Mk2 XR6 Turbo mate...... Not "too" many klms, will look at most colours except yellow or black, must be a manual......will even travel for right car.....you wouldn't think it'd be that hard right?.... But Murphy's law says that whenever you don't want one their bloody everywhere eh'.... When you do their not exactly thick on the ground mate.....
  4. What about something like this?..... http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Ford-Performance-Vehicles-F6-Typhoon-2005/AGC-AD-16147855/?Cr=3
  5. I know it's rooted Mickus......just waiting for Shannons to decide how much they want for the wreck?.... Ive decided to buy it back because theres just too much stuff in it to just let it go......some wrecker would buy it for sh*t and then think he's won lotto when he starts to strip it... Question is......do I update to FG in which case a lot of the stuff on it wont fit?.....OR Buy another BF and start transfering stuff over then sell off the remains?.....
  6. Yeah.....lent the car to my daughter (the younger one not Carly pixyangel)..... The wet weather on Sat. night caught her out.....spun the car over the median strip and hit another car going the opposite way...... sent to hospital for checks but all ok bar a big dent in her pride..... Won't know exactly what the deal is with the car till I see it on Monday.....will make a decision then but I'm sure shes a writeoff...... So glad my girl got out of it ok........but I'm still gutted about it all......
  7. I should have come along on Saturday.....then maybe this might not have happened.....
  8. Welcome to the forums mate.... Regarding the diff......depends where you want to end up with the car I guess?.... Whats the budget?....how far do you want to go with the car?....is it a sedan or ute? You could go with a second hand deal, get your existing one repaired or go with an off the shelf rebuild?... As far as servicing, there's plenty of tips and tricks through the site......the search function is your friend...
  9. Yeah.....lent the car to Carly and that was fine till it went low on fuel (E70/85)....had to talk her through changing the tune back to 98 so she could fuel up. Couldn't believe you can't get ethanol in Wollongong yet ffs?.....
  10. Sorry guys...bit off topic...but thought this might be the best spot to ask... Does anybody know where I can get E70/E85 in Wollongong?.....
  11. Nah....I'd never do that.....main reason being that throughout my build I've made a point of hiding everything I could.....just to be different you know.. You could see my car on the street or on the racetrack and not even give it a second glance.....just looks like a clean but stock XR6T.... I've had the intercooler and piping done in satin black so you can't see them...... Set up my oil coolers behind the headlight and run a 3" tube from the corner of the front air intake (painted matt black)....to draw air through it.....then cut small slots in the wheelarch splashshield to let the air out.. Made up extra heat sheilds under the bonnet to hide stuff like dump pipes.....lift the bonnet and it still looks stock.....even fitted a silicone hose kit and rubbed off the brand names to make the hoses look like factory..... I've even made up a "stock appearing" exhaust tip to fit over the 2 1/2" tailpipes!......so from behind it looks like a stock system.... Sourced two sets of BA XR6 18" alloys because I wanted to use "factory" wheels not aftermarket...... This is why I'm seriously considering doing the calipers in black with no brembo stickers to maintian the theme..... I know it might seem a bit weird to some......but I'm seriously into stealth......lol
  12. I've got the opposite dilemma...... Bought a set of new six spot Brembos and trying to decide wether to paint the rear calipers to match? Or paint the whole lot black so they DON'T stand out?........decisions??....
  13. Did my intercooler (and all my plumbing) black but only because I'm into the stealth look and dont want it to stand out....

    F6 4 Pot To 6

Ive bought 8 BA alloys that have small buckles, gutter rash on them...... Im going to get them all straightened out and have four polished up to use as road wheels while the other four will be just painted silver for track use. Not real cheap at 250 odd bucks a wheel to get em' cleaned up....ugh
  16. To the OP....can I ask?.... What model are we talking here?.....and what have you done so far mate?....
  17. Yes mate.....went with a Process West stage 2 deal that needed no cutting at all........cosy, yes...but only had to relocate the horns...
  18. You gonna be at working at the last place I saw you at Mickus? No matter mate....we can all come by and say gidday......on mass...lol
  19. Will be there....look forward to seeing you guys...
  20. The premium option (PBR C6 calipers twin piston with 322mm rotors) that came out on FPV GT and Typhoon were coloured blue with FPV decals. Other cars that were optioned with these had the same dimensions but calipers were painted black with Ford decals......these were pretty much standard equipment on police pack vehicles.
  21. Jeeesus.....that's lucky you got on top of it before the worst happened..... My car is very similar configaration to yours and I'm looking for a set of 18's that fit over 6 spot Brembos so I can fit up some semi slicks..... Guess I know what NOT to buy now....:/
  22. The original pic is the slots I cut to draw more air through my oil cooler... I can't seem to open the other pics in this thread to get some ideas to keep my brakes cooler during supersprints though?..
  23. Yep....mine was the one with the crook actuator.....Jason fitted up a Turbosmart one and off she went... Joe set it up and the result was 345rwkws and 1104nms of torque.....actually registered a bit more on the dyno but he backed it down a touch to take advantage of the torque band which was just what I wanted.....took it for a little skakedown tonight.... Gotta' learn how to drive the bloody thing all over again......everything's different now....the shift points, the power delivery....need to refine my driving to get the best out of it now......but it's all good.......I'm stoked...
  24. Did you see mine there? Hopefully getting her back next week.....feel like a kid at Xmas...lol
