$100 bucks for the set including tyres....and I'll take em ok.... Seriously though..... Depends on condition I guess.... Are they gutter rashed? Tyres? If the're damaged....about $400 .... if the're in good shape, about $800 excluding tyres. Scout Ebay and other forums to see what others are asking...

My idea of "cosmetic damage" would be something that buffs out...and that obviously wouldn't. I'd be curious to find exactly how fast he was going on impact though....to cause that sort of damage..... Buy it and drive it home?? everyone's got to be a comedian eh"

What a day...... Started off raining and slippery as....which was kinda good because it kept a few away and since there was only about 30 of us....everybody got heaps of tracktime.... Well....nearly everybody anyway The rain had no sooner stopped, when they called a lunch break.....then straight after...a guy in an XY busted his oil cooler after clouting the tyre barrier and that took about 45 mins to clean up.... The rest of the day was spent on a dry track and it cool to be able to test my car in the wet AND the dry, back to back so to speak.....I learned a few things about the way it reacts in different situations.....the sort of things that would be silly to try out on a public road you know....for me, it was a productive day. The only downside was my cousin, who'd come down from Wyong to have a run with me and just after lunch, he comes into the pitlane with this ugly rattle coming from the engine....listening to it....I'm thinking broken piston.. So the rest of the day was spent organising how we were going to get it back to my place so we can do the post mortem....I'll knock the plugs out tomorrow and have a bit of a look....

Just saw the weather report.....forecast is for rain on the weekend....... Hopefully, this might scare off a few so we can get more track time.....

Agreed...but sometimes you don't get a choice....any track time is better than no track time you know :roll:

Serious.......its the first time Ive heard there was a problem with these

Son-in-law asks me to take his car (04' Fairmont Ghia V8) around the block the other day to see if I can identify noise in the front end when he goes over speed humps, crossings etc.... Its definately got a clunking sound under there but I cant jack it up so he takes it to a workshop near his home to ask if they can put it on the hoist to have a look....they tell him the lower ball joint looks dry so they grease it and send him on his way.....he calls me to tell me that the noise is still there but not as noticeable now.. Two days later he hears this big crack in the front end followed by an ugly grinding sound, so he crawls to the workshop where they tell him that the lower ball joint has snapped and jammed against his brake rotor ...WTF The result....2 new ball joints, 2 new rotors, new pads and a bill for $850...... What I'd like to know is why the hell couldnt they have identified a potentially disasterous fault like that only two days before?? I shudder at the thought of this breaking at any sort of decent speed with my daughter and grandkids in the car as well

I scored an oil cooler from a mate.....280x140x50 with AN fittings. Its done about 3000ks on his car before he upgraded to a bigger one.... Just want to know what's the best way to clean it out?.....are some products better than others for this?

What a great idea.....I'll definately be there As for my question.....I don't really care for top-end KW figures...... So what mods and tuning parameters would you recommend for a car to make it less "peaky" up top and give it a bit more torque to make it pull better lower in the rev range?

Ok, here's the deal.....Wakefield has only one weekend free between now and and the end of the year. since its a pain for a lot of us to get there through the week....Saturday 29 August is about the best option. Its going to cost $140 plus $50 for a track licence if you dont already have one... Figured I'd put up this post to gauge interest before comfirming with them as they want approx. numbers a week beforehand so they can plan. So who's keen......? BionicXR6T
