  1. Mmmm might put some thought into that one.... Are there any cruise controllers in the ACT?
  2. Before Taxis Combined,....there was the "Yellow" Cab Company wasn't there?.... Well, they weren't really yellow....they were this kinda' crappy browny babysh*t kinda' orangy colour from memory....oh well So do I put you on the list? Do we have any idea when this decision may emerge from said pipeline?
  3. A new one of the same spec will cost anywhere from 600 for a "no frills" brand up to 1000 for a quality deal..... Thanks for the pointers sideways will go and check that motor and reed valves....let you ok
  4. Some years ago, I bought a 12cfm, twin cylinder compressor. Lately, when you first switch it on, runs fine till it gets almost up to the auto-shut off point then starts to really struggle till it finally reaches full pressure and cuts off. Once you start to use the air and the pressure drops down to the point where it boots up again, it really struggles to get running again. Would this be due to a dying electric motor or is there some sort or pressure relief valve that stuffs up and causes it to work so hard to restart? A new one the same is gonna' cost 600bucks + and if I can fix this one, I reckon it'd be heaps cheaper.......any ideas??

  7. Don't give up your day job Ant.
  8. Damn....and to think I even called up the station before I set the date to see if you were rostered on that night Sorry mate, but while your toasting the bride and groom..... Think of the rest of us having a ...err..."leisurely cruise" up Mac. Pass ok.....
  9. Seriously man....where do you get these friggen' avatars....:)

  10. Call me paranoid...but I don't trust the suckers anyway...
  11. Albion Pk- Pie Shop via Kiama Cruise details are……. Meet at Caltex Heathcote at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm leave so we will have time to socialise for a half an hour or so at Albion Park and the Pie shop. This should also ensure that we get home at some sort of reasonable hour as well. Tuning left out of the servo,we travel down the highway and turn right off the freeway at Waterfall onto Old Princes Highway , down through Helensburgh to Bulli and rejoin the freeway and follow to the BP service station on the highway at Albion Park. Speed camera halfway down Mt. Ousley and another at the bottom near the university. We should arrive at Albion park around 8.40pm. and be on our way by about 9.20pm. There is a KFC at the servo for those who want a bite or a coffee. From Albion Park down the highway to Kiama. Turn off at Gibbs St and follow through Kiama township turning right at Terralong St onto Jamberoo road. Follow Jamberoo road through Jamberoo and onto Terry St at Albion Park turning left onto Illawarra Highway. Follow Illawarra highway to the foot of Macquarie Pass where we stop for a few minutes to allow everyone to catch up and make sure the Pass is free of traffic. Meet at the pie shop at Robertson for a catchup and let the turbos cool down a little. By my reckoning, we should be arriving at the pie shop around 10.30-10.45pm. before coming back down and returning to the highway and home. As always guys, normal cruise rules apply and in leiu of handouts, please copy this post and the attached rules and bring along on the night. Depending on the hour, I may turn off at Fairy Meadow and come back up the coast road but this will be decided on the night. Naturally, participants can join or leave the cruise at any time….but please let others know, so if you suddenly vanish, we won’t waste time backtracking and looking for you. Here’s hoping the weather is good to us and everyone has a safe and enjoyable time. Those in.... BionicXR6T Rootster Cody Slymeat ljm xr6tc Timmy-XR6T tyr33d AY35XC Figjam87 spook +1? Brendan XR6T+1? 12. Yep...pretty rare aren't they....compared to other places eh'
  13. Jeeesus ..members cars getting pummelled with hail in Melbourne.... In Queensland....there floating away Glad Im in Sydney.....
  14. Your to be commended on your efforts mate... But its got to get to the stage where you feel as though your banging your head against the wall He's obviously made his own decisions in life although the welfare of his son is a bit of a worry.....
  15. Is it stainless or M/S? Can you give us some idea of the cost?
  16. How much do you want to spend? Ive got a second hand one under the bench for about 150 bucks.... But seriously, a decent clutch is gonna' set you back 1000-1600 odd bucks and they are worth every cent.... Since most of the requirements on this forum centre around "performance" they may suggest something different for a towing application. As others have already said.... Try Mal Wood or Rapid Systems for aftermarket clutch stuff....they are both forum sponsors and will set you in the right direction
  17. Nah....don't do it Aaron....not on the GT
  18. Whilst programs like this have been proven to encourage positive results with these sort of addictions.....at the end of the day, they have to WANT to do it themselves.....its not the sort of thing you can "force" some-one to do. Perhaps the prospect of losing his son may spur some form of action As Nick has said, the person in question has admitted that he's got a problem, but talk is cheap, and, as we are all aware, actions speak louder than words.
  19. Geez Jamie....you sound like your speaking from experience mate.... Nick....a moral dilemma for sure mate....but I'd be making any decisions based on the welfare of the young boy because he's the one with everything to lose here...... His old man has chosen his path in life and unless he wants to help himself....there's really not much you can do about it... It'd be a real shame to see the young bloke go down the same path as his so-called role model.... Look at the poll......speaks for itself you know.....
  20. Ok, you've got my interest......where?? Getting ALL the members of XR6Turbo.com to agree on which movie to watch would be the biggest drama me thinks.....
  21. Years ago....my girl at the time and I bought a couple of hamburgers at this take-away store.... We go back to the car to eat and I take ONE bite....yuk, tasted woeful.....the meat was obviously OFF, big time!! So I take em' back in and say "What's this mate?....new dogsh*t flavour?....these are off and I want a refund.. The guy behind the counter says their prime beef....I say they might have been once pal....but it was a long time ago and I still want a refund. He says "No, you've already started eating it"......and that's when I went off... Ok, if you want to do it the hard way.......and I went outside and started to tell everybody who walked by and even looked like going into his shop that the food was crap..... He comes out going off and I eventually got the refund but had to threaten him with the Health Dept. to get it. I rang em' anyway when we got home......
  22. Actually, we were all sitting around on Sunday night saying the same thing..... What more can I say.....what was looking to be a dismal flop ended up turning into one of the best weekends we've had in ages.... We drank, we ate, we cruised, we had a good BBQ, we swam in the pool, played soccer, smashed windows, Nick went for a midnight cruise up to Dorrigo and ended up scaring himself, we took a run out to the Pub with No Beer and had a top feed and did the go-karts at Coffs, I reckon we all had a top time ....and yes.....if we can get a few more for next year I'll do it again on the same weekend (middle of Feb) My computer won't load the pics so Ivé sent them to Tab and Im sure he'll post em' up in due course.....we should have a caption competition Thank you to everybody who came along....was great to see you all.....
  23. Who's running it? Sorry guys, but Ive been a bit preoccupied with the North Coast cruise this weekend.' When I get back, I'll be posting up the next night run ok
  24. I'll bet you can't...... If it turns out as good as Nick's....I'm gonna' have to do more mods just to keep up....
  25. Bull..... This car now has the tune that I wanted in my car.....I'm so impressed with it and so is the friend(the workshop manager at our local Ford dealer) that I took for a run in it. He said that its the smoothest FG XR6 Turbo he's ever been in....the power delivery is just so progressive from the moment you put your foot on the pedal. My car was done by C&V at 270+rwkws and we drove both Nick's car and mine back to back and I can tell you that in a straight line, theres bugger-all difference between them. The big difference is that Nick's comes on so strong low down in RPM range (just like a V8) were-as mine is a dog down low by comparison and my power comes in with a bang from about 3500rpm onwards.....his would be so much nicer to drive on a daily basis you know....
