  1. I'll pull it out (again) tomorrow and post the no's ok Matt. thanks
  2. Its got a "T" piece deal with both senders in it..... I tried disconnecting the light sender and it made no difference... Zap....they are both low series clusters.
  3. Any intercooler bigger than the stocker would have to be better.... I fitted a Typhoon one to mine because I wanted a factory part that didnt need mods to go straight on.... If you dont want to get too carried away power wise, a Typhoon deal will be fine....but if you want consistent 350+ type power....then you may be better off getting something bigger.... As XR6TCamo has said,it depends on your tune as well....although I fitted mine well before I had it tuned... For the money, provided its in good shape, I'd grab it anyway....you can always on-sell it later if you decide to go bigger.. Without knowing what you've already got, and what you are aiming for...its hard to say.. Hope this helps....
  4. He's back!!.... When did they let you out mate? Car back from the panelbeaters yet?
  5. I went Sydney-Coffs return during Easter.... Left Sydney 1.00am Good Fri. and was in Coffs for brekky.....best time of the day to travel Saw one unmarked cop at North Sydney and one marked at Clybucca....other than that....zilch.... Sat on the CB with the truckies up and back and even they were saying how few cops were out on the highway.....go figure?
  6. Update what?? Everything else works perfectly....tach, speedo other gauges and warning lights... How come you've got to "update" the thing just for ONE warning light??? If it wasn't for the damn chime....I could just stick a bit of tape over the light and off we'd go.....
  7. I changed the instrument cluster in my car and now the oil warning light and chime won't go out..... Ive added gauges to the car and I know its got plenty of pressure so what can I do to get rid of the light?
  8. Ive also used Nulon since day one with no problems.....
  9. I'll take one of the $15 and one of the $29 one's in Nitro (since its the closest colour to Bionic). Let me know the bank details Trent and I'll stick some money in the bank for ya' ok...
  10. Yep....my daughter took her car (Toyota Starlet) in for one of these so-called "safety checks"...... Ive still got the report.....2 ball joints, 2 tie-rod ends, all 4 shocks, numerous bushes needed replacing etc etc.....would have cost her more than the car was worth.... Took it up to the guy who does my car and he says the rear shocks and one tie-rod end needs replacing....other than that, the car's tight as a drum and they (Pedders) must be on drugs..... Got a tie-rod from Repco and two rear shocks from Pat (Wholesale Suspension) for a fraction of the cost of what Pedders wanted for the same items..... Told her not to go back there again..... No bull...yeah right
  11. Cool????....doing a burnout in front of the cops is cool??? yeah right At least the idiot isn't connected with Pro Drag Racing.....
  12. Well put ratter.....and true. that's right....this post makes a lot of sense if your on a budget. The only cheaply done mod I could suggest would be to remove the centre muffler and put in a set of hotdogs.....aside from that, if you do what Keith has suggested, you should be looking good for around the 270-290kw mark for not a lot of money......good luck with it and welcome to the forum
  13. As the title suggests.....Ive fitted a set of Typhoon gauges to my XR6T... But the guy I got them off removed the factory F6 boost sensor with a pair of multi's and stuffed it.... Can anyone tell me I can get a new one thanks??
  14. I can't believe you said that Paul .....you've obviously forgotten the last cruise we had up the Old Pacific Highway.....
  15. Yeah right....heaps of sympathy there for sure Tab...the mental image of you crouching by the roadside with a policeman looking on in disbelief Nick...really sorry to hear that you got done mate
  16. Ok...first off, it is "rootster" not "rooster" ...do a search on goats and you'll find him. He's running the Advans and when we last spoke, didn't seem too happy with them. Now, my story.... After the OEM Dunlops on my car bit the dust I fitted a set of Marangoni Mythos 245x40x18.... cost?....about 300 a pop....got 32000kms out of em' before needing a new set, they were a great tyre considering the caning they got (I never dragrace but do tend to get excited on a twisty bit of road). The local tyre guy talks me into a set of Nexen 6000's...@235 a pop....the worst tyre I have ever had....would never buy em' again Im gonna' rip them off and get a decent set like I should have in the first place....serves me right for being a tightass..... Have ordered another set of Marangonis......
  17. Maaate....that looks trick doesn't it.... Hell yeah....I could just see Robbo and the tribe in one of those in a couple of years time Holden's Bogan special wagon finished right up there at the recent 12 hour at Bathurst... A huge marketing coup for them.... Honestly....I don't know what Ford is thinking...talk about a "missed" opportunity
  18. Send a PM to Rootster....he has a set of these on his car....
  19. Jeeesus Matt.....don't go putting ideas in his head
  20. This is a G'up right? I couldn't imagine anyone who would consider doing this....
  21. Mate...if you drive through an RBT...be sure that they'll come after you, right here and right now....there's no "checking later" They wouldn't take the chance that you've got false plates, the car is stolen or there's some other reason why you've done a runner.... So what your saying is that the police only have to follow an offender in a stolen car past a camera, then they can terminate a pursuit because they've got an ID. on him??? How do they know that he smiled for the camera?? With all due respect mate....you'd be mighty p*ssed if you let Australia's most wanted crim get away and the piccy wasn't good enough for a positive ID.
  22. Yeah, their called d*ckheads.....unfortunately, you tend to meet the odd one as you go through life.... Hope it didn't spoil your night mate... It was a good night guys, a great roll-up, the weather was beaut, (last time we went there it was freezing) and I'm pleased that everybody had a good time. The Nick and Mick show was again in full swing for everyone's entertainment and it was good to see some new faces mixed with the regulars. Thanks to everyone who supported the night....was great to see you all
  23. Jeeesus....why are these night runs so popular? With 25 plus comfirmed, another 7-8 potentials on the soft list.... I can see the first car arriving at the pie shop while the last car is still at the bottom of the bloody pass...
  24. A "H" beam rod is more of a race orientated part... "I" beams would probably be preferable for the street... Depends how carried away you want to get, its the same with the pistons. You really need to talk with a reputable engine builder to get the right advice on this....every applications' different, and because you want to keep it "streetable" your gonna' have to put some thought into what you can and can't put up with regarding tuning and maintenance vs street use... Hope this helps....
