  1. White wheels and stripes..... Those dark argents look cool on the XR6T....but you'd have to lose the stripes IMO..... That R-SPEC looks absolutely horn mate...
  2. We got our share in Southern Sydney too..... All the same sort of spec as well.....tinted glass to try and hide the dashboard stuff and the only real give-away is the little blue and red repeater lights either side of the rear No. plate. Its not about revenue raising though....just ask em'...
  3. No worries mate...thanks for the tip.. Might just check out those and the maxxies before I spend the cash
  4. I'm stunned Brett .....I put almost 30000ks on mine over two years and that included some pretty serious night runs and a track day at Wakefield!! As for cracks in the sidewall??...never happened to me Ask anybody whos ever been on a night run with me.....they cop heaps! Jman....I'll swap with you mate....these fr*ggen' Nexens screech like buggery...I've tried a dozen different pressures in the bl**dy things and when you start to push em',they still do it....drive me nuts Actually, I just looked at your signature pic....are you running 245.40.18"?....just wondering if a different size might have something to do with it that's all. I'll go the Marangonis again....and not because I'm a tyre dealer either Just know what worked for me is all.....
  5. I had a set of Marangonis on mine as well....got 30000ks out of em' too...and like you, I don't do burnouts or dragrace my car....I do however love to go out and tear up a windy road every now and then But come new tyre time I was a tightass and got a set Nexen 6000's put on.. BIG MISTAKE ......and I'm now saving up for another set of Marangonis Learn from my mistake mate....don't buy tyres based just on price. I found that the Marangonis were a great compromise on wear vs cost vs grip.
  6. A friend of mine found this in Berlin..... Normally, I don't have a lot of time for grafitti artists...but this I thought was quite impressive.....how long do you think it would have taken to do this? Eine Frage der Perspektive | Spreeblick
  7. Would have been better if he'd removed the rear view mirror though rockafellqeinstien
  8. Ok..official ruling is..... Any off-street RWD car 12.99 or faster. and....ANY RWD car (regardless of ET) using a slick tyre. Hope this clears it up.
  9. And they've got the hide to say it's not revenue raising....
  10. The book is a little vague in this area, I will confirm and post what the deal is ok.
  11. If your using a "road" tyre, the tailshaft loop requirement comes in at 12.00et or faster. If your using a "race(slick)" tyre, it comes in at 13.00et or faster. Reasoning is that they put so much extra stress on the driveline at launch.
  12. Nah, a Super Street licence also covers bikes with unaltered swingarms slower than 10.00et.....if you run into the nines you'll need to step up to an Unlimited Drag licence. You should have gotten a rulebook with your licence, all this stuff is in there....but if you need any advice, just ask ok....
  13. We can be thankful it wasn't Webber at Monaco....can you imagine the in-car

    2010 F1 Cars

What a great weekend for Aussie motorsports.... Courtney wins and goes to the head of the V8 points.... Webber wins at Monaco and goes to the front of the F1 ladder... (so much for the armchair experts who were ready to write him off 12 months ago) and young Riciardello wins the F3000 race at Monaco.... All we need now is for Marcos to extract his digit and come up with a decent Nascar result.... I'm all happy here
  16. To my knowledge, you can't really adjust the clutch. 82000ks! I'd say you've had a pretty good run out of a standard deal. There's really only one answer.....Mal Wood Option 3 One of the best mods Ive done to my car, Mal has these running behind 350+rwkws with no probs....softer pedal than stock too. That's either a good run from a stocker (98000kms?)....or you've been severely ripped-off
  17. Yep....and your good to go mate..... F6turbo......its all good mate... yeah, they should have checked, and they probably thought you already had a tailshaft loop But I'm not sure about mounting to the seat base is all ?? I'd have to see it really..... I'll try and get out there this Weds, but if not, I'll certainly be there on the 26th....I'm not hard to find, my cars usually parked out front of the scrutineering shed unless Im in the braking area.... See you guys out there
  18. No John, you don't need a Log book till you you run 10.99 or quicker mate.... Thanks for the tip.....I'll be checking up on "JP" next time I'm out there Im sure some of you blokes think we make up these safety rules for the sake of something to do.....11 sec. ET's translate to well over 160ks+ terminals. At those sort of speeds, if the unthinkable were to happen and the car headbutts the wall or turns over....we'd like to see you with a bit more protection than just a 3 point lap/sash belt. Just don't let me catch you doing this....fellow forum member or not You only need a battery isolation switch if; You run quicker than 11.00 et. You have a "competition only" vehicle. You have relocated your battery. Tailshaft loops are required on all cars 12.00secs and quicker. BionicXR6T.....NSW ANDRA Steward No. 27.
  19. A mate at Pickles gave me a look at this collection last week..... The cars are in excellent shape and, as you have seen, most have bugger all K's on them..... Oh'....and the XE sedan is actually one of the original Dick Johnson falcon turbos....a rare car in itself Its actually a divorce sale and he says they expect to realise around 1.5-1.75 million once they all go under the hammer. Poor bastard... :pulease:
  20. Mmmm...don't know about a bargain.... these things have attracted attention from the US and NZ as well....and their still current technology so you can bet they'll bring a healthy dollar too. Victor Bray has said that the doorslammers would cost in excess of 200 grand a pop to build and you won't get much change out of 100 grand plus on the bikes too.....so it's all really expensive stuff The burnout ute is a pretty basic blown big block Chev with a powerglide so it'd by far the easiest and cheapest out of the lot to utilise. As for the rest..... I'd doubt there be more than a handful of people on this forum who would know the correct start-up and shut-down procedures to fire up one of these cars....especially the nitro bikes, and we won't even touch on the maintenance required to run one without either killing yourself or doing major damage in the process The QLD government has decided to auction it all off as proceeds of crime while everything is still current and will bring the best price....even though the case is still ongoing, if the case goes in favour of Brett, you can expect to see another court case for compensation. Stay tuned on this one.
  21. well, I'll be f*cked.....here was me thinking I got a good deal...oh well
  22. 200 bucks for a new screen supplied and fitted at my house?? .....who,where??? If it came off the back of a truck, It'd be worse than the old one?
  23. Yeah, pics are always good too...... Any chance of a shot of the F650 in the Pro pits?
  24. 7.12PB while turning the tyres....can't knock that
  25. 100% good advice.....thanks for posting it When losing your wallet, its never the cash that's the drama...in this day and age of identity theft...its all the cards and ID that's the biggest pain in the ass.
