1. I wouldn't stress gentlemen....I've still got those crap tyres on so it's hardly gonna' be a record hillclimb up the pass....
2. *enthusiast with a level head* You've just knocked out half the runners Tab Especially if Nick and Smicky decide to come along
3. Like I said....give the belt a good scrub with upholstery cleaner. Don't be tempted to use anything too aggressive like strong solvents....this can affect the integrity of the webbing. If you have to use a spray to clean the reel.....try some CRC contact cleaner. Unlike WD40....it cleans but doesn't leave any residue to attract more dirt.
4. That's cheating Smicky..... *makes note to include something in the cruise rules about opening doors and full street rego* Arjey..... Yes mate....I'd reckon we'll see the Cobra at some stage through the night .... for the first few corners anyway Our turbos go well, but up Mac. Pass, theres just no substitute for cubes mate....
5. Yep....common problem with these models... Dirt and grime on the belt clogs up the reel mate....just draw the belt all the way out and give it a good scrub with some upholstery cleaner. Worked for me.....
6. Thanks mate....where's my present? Or are you gonna' get Steve to give it to me? I know theres probably easier ways to get down there Kyle...and if it was a daytime deal I'd most likely go the way you have suggested. I chose this route because it's a little more "driver orientated" than just cruising down a dual lane blacktop on the bypass.... Menangle Rd....., despite it's twists and turns, also has a 100ks limit...go figure. Sure, it's a bit of a pain getting through the shopping centre, but we'll slow up a little on the other side to make sure everybodys together.
7. Time for another night run guys..... We did this one last May and got a pretty good turnout.... So let's do it again Meeting at 8.00pm in the carpark on Waterworth Drive and Narellan Rd, Mount Annan for an 8.30pm leave. Leaving the carpark, from Waterworth Drive, we turn right onto Narellan Rd. At 3kms, turn right into Gilchrist Drive, through the town centre and right onto Geary’s Rd. then left onto Menangle Rd. At 11kms, turn left onto Camden Rd. At 10kms. Turn left onto Douglas Park Rd. At 6.5kms. turn right onto Wilton Rd. then left onto Macarthur Drive. At 4kms, turn left onto Picton Rd, At 16kms turn right onto Mount Keira Rd. and follow for 9kms down the mountain to Woolongong. Note: There are parts of Mt. Keira Rd that are very narrow and care must be taken. The cruise leader will advise of oncoming traffic. At the bottom of Mt. Keira Rd. we turn right onto the on ramp for the Southern freeway while being mindful of the speed camera (60ks) on the ramp. Follow the freeway for 28kms to the BP/ KFC service station on Princes Hwy at Albion Park for a drink/rest break. After the break we turn left out of the BP onto the highway and follow for .5 km and turning right at Station St. Follow Station St. for 1km and turn right onto Tongarra Rd. Follow Tongarra Rd for 2kms into Albion Park township where it runs into the Illawarra Highway. Follow the highway for 10kms to the foot of Mac. pass We will slow towards the the bottom of the pass to make sure everyone is together before going 17kms up the Pass to Robertson pie shop and finish. Naturally, a working, fully charged CB radio (and preferably a friend to use it)is a definite asset on this night cruise…..so if you don’t have one…..get one ok…. In order to limit the size of this post, I have included the cruise rules as an attachment, please read them and likewise for others you invite or bring. 12. Thanks Murph......I'll give it a go... :banghead: But I'm still gonna' be on the carwash doorstep on Tuesday to tell em' what I think of their interior cleaner
13. You'd better get used to the sight of spew Rob..... :banghead: T had that baby yet?
14. Why??.....did it work on yours? :banghead:
15. Put my car into the panel shop to get a small scrape on the rear corner fixed up, nothing major, just irritated me every time I looked at it. The beater, who is a good friend and has looked after my cars for years, not only fixed the scrape, but repainted both front and rear bars, retouched the whole car, ran the polisher over it and then sent it to the carwash cafe next door and had it completely detailed. When I picked it up on Friday night, it looked like a million bucks, he'd done a first class job as always.....no complaints at all However.....when I opened the door...the smell hit me like a ton of bricks....the detailers have used this super strong deoderiser on the interior.....and it's just friggen foul mate!!! to the point where I had to drive home with all the windows down just to avoid throwing up It's kinda' like that super-dooper industrial strength stuff they use in public toilets....you can smell it just walking past the car! It's now been sitting in the carport with the windows down since I got it home....28 hours ago!! My car used have that new car kind of smell, now it's just unbearable to me....was going to go for a drive on Friday but I couldn't handle the smell....it's such a p*ss-off....I've now got a car that looks great...but I can't sit in it for longer than I can hold my breath.... :banghead:
16. ....wife happy....whole house happy mate....
17. Yeah...me too......was thinking AA batteries.....
18. I was told, as a rule of thumb.... If you step up the injectors...then step up the pump as well.
19. Excellent job Gaz.... Looking forward to this......
20. Axle tramp....no question.....mine does exactly the same in the same circumstance.... sounds like the diff is trying to jump into the boot eh'..... Modified my driving style and it doesn't happen anymore....well...not as much anyway
21.
I've contacted Chris and haven't had a reply from him
Me too.....
22. Ive got a photo around somewhere of one of my mates (who currently runs a V8 supercar)..... back in his production car days.......washing down an engine block in his bathtub When I first met him back in about 92'....he was renting an old house over in Auburn, wall to wall car parts and he'd converted the dining room into a workshop.....
23. Living testimony that some people should never stuff around with things they obviously know NOTHING about!
