The BF is one of the best models Ford has ever made.....mine has over 100k on the clock now with bugger all problems since day one Regular/ correct servicing is the key and I'd say any car with a regular (genuine) service history would be a pretty safe bet. If the seller can't provide this....walk away no matter what the price. They were a popular model so there's lots out there....so bide your time and you'll find one in the colour/option that you like sooner or later....

Mmmm.....I thought 4 spots would fit under an 18" rim???? I've got the FPV setup on mine and thought about going to 4 spot brembos if I could come across a set at the right price. But if I've got to change wheels and tyres as well......stuff that....I'll just have to live with the FPV deal...

Since I've got to get a new tuner anyway since my xcal 1 is now fundamentally useless.....with the state of the dollar right now, one of these looks pretty good. So before I bend over for 750 odd bucks (plus the cost of a tune).....what's the deal with these things? Are they a viable option? Who was your tuner Theo?

My wife has had an operation on her foot and cannot put any weight on it for six weeks. Wheelchairs and crutches aren't really practical round our place so I built her a sort of "scooter" out of some tubing, put a handle on it with a cushion to rest her knee on it and some castor wheels so she can move around the house. She took it to the hospital when she had the op. and the surgeon says "where did you get that? so she tells him that my husband made it for me.... He asks if he can borrow it and takes it down to show the physio who seems quite impressed with it and asks if I'd be interested in making a couple more for the hospital. I've since searched some sites for walking frames, equipment for the disabled and similar stuff and I can't really find anything like it..... I've been told by a few others that I should patent it and start making them to sell to orthopedic specialists for hire to patients and such. It's just that I wouldn't have the first idea on how to go about this? Is there anyone on here who might be able to give me more info on how to do it?

No such problem here.....my wife doesn't care what I do to the car as long as can raise the money myself without taking it from the housekeeping. She is a confirmed petrol-head, follows F1, V8's and up until falling into ill-health a couple of years ago, working with me at Sydney Dragway. When we were running the dragster back in the ninties, I bought her a set of forged pistons for her birthday and roller rockers for Xmas one year with no complaints..... It has only been due to her health that she hasn't been able to come on cruises with me in the last year or so.....

Worst possible result really.... IMO....Ford have only got themselves to blame... If they hadn't been such tightasses with their spread of factory backing, 888 would still be running Falcons. And we would all be celebrating instead of copping a bagging from the red side...

Its shaping up to be a good one I reckon.....will park on the lounge and watch it all (as I do every year)... I think I'd be going down to the dealer's armed with a tape measure.....or wait till you spot another GT somewhere....or call up Fibresports and ask for the dimensions. Fibresports stuff isn't to bad but remember it's all just fibreglass so if your gonna' paint it black you'll have to do some decent preparation because any blemish will stick out like dog's balls..... Other than that, any reputable paint shop shouldn't have a drama with it. While I can see why some would do this to a 'normal' Typhoon, I'd have reservations about doing this to a more exclusive model like an R Spec. Just make sure you store the stock bars and bonnet somewhere safe so you can return it to original when you want to sell it. It'd be worth a lot more with it's stock panels.....

Well....that settled that....the best team won and this weekend will now go down in history as the one were the Dragons absolutely "plucked" the Chooks.... Now all the boring ball sports are out of the way.....we can now focus on next weekend and..... Bathurst!!

"Sooo many things that sh*t you about it"??? If the stuff mentioned above is all you've got to grizzle about then I'd say your not doing too' bad really. Have you thought about doing something about it? Apart from the driveline slop (which is built in from the factory) everything else you've mentioned is fixable.

Yeah....I was kinda keen on the wiper blade sharpener myself...
