The zf6 auto is a great gearbox especially with the new tune that's available. Pretty hard to tell what it looks like though with them photo's. Anyway goodluck and welcome. Nice edit Luke! Why do you want an F6 cooler for? Get a PW stage 1 if your looking for a low cost upgrade. Heaps better. Fark them tyres are pretty pricey like you said Dean. Good work on the 000 reaction time also. Even better was your picture on the AL site.

Cheers for that Dean. Did some Internet research on the proxes 4's and they did sound ordinary. Apparently they don't have any 265x30x19's in the t1r's anymore..... so still looking. Also looked at the ku36 and 39's, but aren't in the size I'm after. Fark, Fast Fridays appear to be full on with the timing rules. I guess that's proper drag racing for ya. I chucked my name down for the drag day in the AL thread, you may of missed my post. Looks like an achievable time frame for me that's fo sure and a good chance to get a decent amount of runs in. I'm keen. Any other suggestions for tyres? I'm not chasing mileage a whole lot as I do less than 8000 k's a year. just want something good, but don't want to be spending $600+ a tyre.....

As much as I would like to Dean, I still haven't got decent tyres for my car yet, (what's your thoughts on the proxy4 Toyo's?) and the money well is suffering from drought. This week I'm on call, so hopefully there's some coin to be made. How much is it to enter on Fast Friday anyway, and is it the same rules etc as on Wednesday nights?

Picked my car up today from XFT after it had the tranny tune, and I can say for sure that it has made a difference. Gear changes are noticeably sharper when just cruising, but under WOT its alot smoother and quicker. I had the gearbox strengthened sometime ago and had got used to the difference then from normal and I'm quite happy with it now. Time will tell though if it makes any difference down the quarter as some have suggested, just waiting on some tyres and I'll be heading down, to test that idea. Thanks again to Simon and the boys at XFT for the work completed.

Or at least chuck on some KU 31's... +1 for any info on your thoughts of the ZF tune, mines there atm getting done. How did you go Dean?

Congrats on your win there Dean and good skid also! Spewing I didn't end up going, way too hungover to do anything Sunday. Looks like you didn't have much trouble turning the tyres also Simon. Were there any dyno shootouts there?

Thanks for that Steve. My dealer (tyre) tells me there is a factory back order on them (the 31's) and not sure how long before they will come in. So I've had to go the Chippa/your look and chuck the stockies back on. He did give me a set of bluestones to test out on the stockies at a very good price..... Thinking about just going a real soft tyre as I'm not driving it everyday, but I just don't want to pay drug money for them. You get what you pay for though I guess. Walkjara, no dramas mate, just thinking about it at the moment. I'm pretty sure a BF bonnet will fit a BA.

Hey Mercury (Rich), don't forget that Dean's car is a ricer! Which means that at some stage it will break something, something won't be running right, it needs a tune, it's blown a hose, it's spotting, it's running rich, the boost controller is faulty, picked up some dodgy fuel, something was blocked, the fuel cap was open, hat was on the wrong angle, it was either too hot or cold. Mate there is a book of 101 excuses that ricer drivers use when their ricer sh*ts itself or gets beaten by a taxi. You will beat him at some stage. Go and enjoy

Hey Steve how did you go getting your tyres from Saleb tyres? Any dramas and how long did they take to deliver? Were they delivered to your door or did you have to pick them up from somewhere? Cheers for the 100 questions.....

Can't believe your leaving the KU31's behind Steve. Why the change? Perhaps this chick should of spent some coin on her tyres and this wouldn't of happened to her. Nice car, bald tyres + rain = o/t for me.
