  1. Yeah no chance on me heading down there in this weather. Much prefer to sit in A/C house and swim in the pool. And yes I will be running my everyday tyres as they are the only ones I have. This way I leave the door open for an excuse if I run a sh*t time.........
  2. Tattoo of a scanner?
  3. Lol, but you have two more cylinders than me Dean and mines only a four litre and I'm running street tyres and...............
  4. Thanks for the comments gents. Dillz, running just under 17psi. Weak bottom end? Man these are built Ford tuff aren't they? I'm a believer in not worrying about it too much, whats going to happen will happen and I know Simon has chucked in some good safety for it. If it does let go, then I will look at something else I think. Yeah hopefully I can get to more cruises, but they always seem to fall on my work weekends or have other sh*t booked and kids parties.....
  5. LOL, I thought it was some chick standing next to an overlander ute. Then I realised it was just Stef standing next to it.....
  6. Hi all, I've been here for a while so I thought it might be time to throw up a build thread about my taxi. Its a BF series 1 with the luxo pack, May build. I bought it way back in December 06 from auction in Sydney as an ex executive car with 2500 k's on the clock and I've slowly chipped away at it doing things to my liking. A big thanks to Simon at XFT and all of the boys for their work done on it over the years. I've had it down the track a few times and the best so far is a 11.2 @128mph on my street tyres, Kumos KU31's, pump fuel, during the day at a private track meet. Hopefully in the coming months when its a little cooler, I can better that time. So the list so far is as follows Engine Parts; Nizpro Intercooler Nizpro Plenum Nizpro 75 Pound Injectors Nizpro Cold Air Induction Nizpro Air Box Nizpro Battery Relocation with Odyssey Dry Cell SCT Flash Tuner Nizpro Over Boost Valve Turbo Ported Waste Gate 11.8 Pound Actuator Flapper Valve Upgrade Drive Line Strengthened Input Shaft Clutch Plates Added ZF Tuned by Xtreme Ford Tuning Final Drive Tailshaft Fuel System Process West Surge Tank with Bosch 044 Pump In Tank Bosch 293 Pump Exhaust Nizpro 4’stainless steel exhaust, 4’ dump, twin 3’ Catalytic Converters Wheels and Suspension Vertini Regency Front 19 x 8.5. 7. Yeah! Don't do that again or you'll feel the wrath of an angry moderator.... And never mention anything about purpoo coloured utes, some people used to think they were cool
  8. Cheers Dean
  9. My personal view on them. I've never liked seeing heaps of aftermarket gauges in cars, especially if the car hasn't been modified bar a cannon exhaust. Each to their own I guess.
  10. I've finally succumbed and I'm turning my car into a ricer. Just received delivery of my FPV gauge pod holder and placing an order for some autometer digital boost and oil pressure gauges tomorrow. Wont be long now and I'll be reppin some shopping list down the front door and doin some hectic skids..... Anybody else have the digital gauges?
  11. So what's the best time to get down to the plex on Wednesdays to beat the hoards for scrutineering and how many runs are people getting at the moment. Plan to dust of my car and take it down Wednesday next week.
  12. LOL yeah wrong spelling, guilty as charged! Damm you bitches are hard! There should be plenty of south of the river skanks to perv on though..... Might be worth the 42 clams
  13. Who's heading down to Motivation this Saturday?
  14. I just don't get that whole sticker bombing thing. I must be getting old like Chippa.
  15. Dean, I say this with my head facing down, "hopefully oneday when all of the planets line up and before the end of this season". I've got my tyres now, so that's one thing of the check list.
  16. Happy Birthday xr6t ego!

  17. Well thanks for the info guys, looks like its the autometer gauges for me. The boost gauge is all I'm really after, but I need more gauges to make it go that little bit faster, like the ricers with all of theirs. Now its either the AFR or the oil pressure gauge, and does anyone have any hook ups for a quality install for said gauges? 193m skid, must of been stuck in 2nd.
  18. Hey peeps, I'm thinking about getting some gauges, mainly for boost, and probably one other, but with so many out there I'm not sure which are the good, bad or just plain sh*t ones. Can anybody point me in the right direction of which ones are the better type to get? Appreciate any good advice.
  19. And you treated it like a baby Dean.
  20. That's the carpark out the front of the West Australian Newspapers. I worked there in a previous lifetime for 18 years and the security dudes like to call the cops and are on site 24/7. Cameras all around the place and vision to that carpark as its where some of the workers park their cars. Not a good place to drop a skid. There is another carpark towards Stephenson Hwy on the lake side before the traffic lights which is a little more discrete. Just a heads up. Have fun people, once again I'm on call and can't go. :(
  21. That's the question I keep asking myself Dean. I was looking forward to the AL drag day, off work and on holidays at the time, but that looks like it has fallen through hey??? I went to the motorplex site and couldn't find any info on the new rule changes, but from what I read on here, there's no reason why I couldn't head down there on a Wednesday night with my car the way it is. I can only imagine that with the new rule changes there will be a heap more people heading down there aswell. As with having a run against your crapadoor calais, meh, I look forward to the challenge. Though with your consistency of late, I am a little concerned. With mine only having 6 cylinders and yours 8, surely I'd be entitled to a little headstart?
  22. f*cking great news.
  23. That's pretty impressive mate, Well done again. So what's your next plan with the car? Strip it out etc or just keep on practicing with how it is?
  24. Well done Dean. What times did you end up running?
  25. YUK! Each to their own though. Might look better when its all painted....
