What sort of improvements are you talking about and how much did it cost?

Warrenty Warrenty Warrenty blah blah blah... I hate it... I was all set to do some mods, I went and saw Simon, had the cash in hand ready to go and then a friend told me to see his cousin at Lynfords who is the head mechanic there. He told me that Ford can tell if the car has been "played with", tuned, and that it will void all warrenty on the drive line and motor. I've already had trouble with the DSC light coming on and staying on and after taking it to Nuford (closest dealer to me) twice to fix it , I finally went to Lynford who ended up changing the whole steering colum to solve the problem. So now I ask the question, do I or dont I?? I was told that adding the 2nd CAI does nothing and a K&N panel filter does as much??? I know going to Simon will void the warrenty, by the way, they know of Simon and say he does some great work. Do these add performance and do they affect warrenty? My car has only done 11000 k's. Should I sit on it for another 2years untill the warrenty is over ???? What to do What to do??

I'm with SCRIBR, whats wrong with EGO ??? Hides the dirt and looks flash with the metallic paint in direct sunlight. Silhouette is black and Octane is orange??? Now EGO, well that's CLASSY. Says me with the EGO T.

Thanks for the tips on the radar detectors and the web sites. I shall be on the hunt this week for one before it's too late..

So where can you get these radar detectors from xro6t and how much are they?? I went through a camera last weekend on the way to mandurah and got flashed at a tick under 120 in the 80 zone DOH..... then to top it off on the following Monday a cop got me with a lazer on Hepburn Ave doing 83 in the 70 zone. Looks like 7 points and 500 spendoolies in two days... Time for a radar detector before its too late I think.

Thanks for the tip about Nuford and Seaview... I had already been to Nuford to get them to solve the problem with the DSC light coming on for no reason and staying on. They had two attempts to fix it and finally they said it was related to the diff settings/ratio?Not being a mechanic or auto leco who am I to say if they were full of sh*t or not.. Centre Ford sounds the go then. Cheers!!

Thanks for bringing that up about the sevicing dirty 32 . My bf has done 8500 and the sticker says 15000 as the next service. Its a May build so it has to go in for a service according to xxxr6t. Has anyone been to the Nuford workshop for a service and has anyone got a comment about them? By the way I went and had a look at the F6 at Park Ford on Wednesday that was in the paper. The body was straight but the interior was a little rough. The rear passenger silver trim in the door handle popped out when you closed the door and the tyres didnt match the kilometers.

Now I'm in the quandary of whether to forgo the warranty and add some more balls or sit back and listen to all the things that you all do to your cars? Hmmmm.Perhaps a call to Ford and see if they will tell what's allowed and not allowed and a trip to see Simon at Extreme. Next question. When they say the BF has 245 kw"s are they talking at the wheels or the motor? And if so at the motor what is the standard KW's for a standard BF turbo at the wheels? Does anyone know?

so has anyone had a run against the new ss commadore yet? I was at whiteman park today and was behind a new GTS with the 307 badge and felt like I was back in the terrible 4 cylinder days. I bought the turbo to beat these v8 comms and now I see they have uped the ante a little.... what to do what to do?

Just bought a BF turbo and after reading these posts, I want to know what I can do to increase the performance yet still be covered by the new car warranty. Is this at all possible? I've been told that if I change the air intake to a phoons, change the injectors and a flash tune I should get around 300 kw"s???
