  1. that be the one... congrats on the engagement as well mate
  2. ^^ I had to think then for a second cause I've been up that way a bit in the past week or so, but I don't remember racing no skyline. I did see XXXR6T though parked out front of a house just off Ocean Reef Rd up that way though, just down the road from my mates house, bit dark at the time, didn't get a good look Can't remember the name of the suburb
  3. yeah I did a quick search before and found out about the crap batteries ford provide but some of the symptons weren't the same. will go for the load test and see the outcome. cheers
  4. Hey guys, didn't know whether to post this here or the "general tech" but here goes My car will not start sometimes, the stereo and interior lights will come up, but every now and then I'll go to crank it over and its just dead nothing. This problem has only occurred once before, but that was last year some time and ford ended up instructing me to turn the car off and lock it up for a minute or so and then try starting it after that which did the trick. Well now its not doing the trick, I would of thought if the battery was gonna die it would just die completely. Sometimes the car will crank over fine with no problems, sometimes theres nothing. I have heard of people having smartshield problems and that so I was wondering if that could be the problem, the immobiliser not switching off, is there any way of testing that without going to ford (which I really can't be f**ked doing)? Any help would be appreciated cheers
  5. if it was a p-plater I've seen him at x-treme just last week
  6. ah ok then, it must have been my bad memory
  7. I forgot to say, I think if I remember rightly I saw XR06T license plates at motorvation, I can't remember if the car was blueprint though but it probably was (just my bad memory)
  8. few.. I think I was the only T.. You could not miss me I was next to a porche and the only Typohoon there as well. although my bonnet and coloured badges did fool alot of people.. I thought there would be a few t's there.. MISS XR was there but that's only an XR6.. I reckon we should get a stand next year cause there are some nice T's in perth and was a shame they were not on display! Mine isnt much to look at that's why I was suprised.. be good to have Simons there as well.. ← actually I think I might of spotted you now I do remember the blue 'dizzy' there though. An debadged XR8 I'm guessing
  9. cool going to have to keep a look out. tried looking out today for T's today at motorvation but didn't see any saw plenty of FPVs though
  10. I thought I would park next to a fellow XR6t because you know what carparks can be like. Yours looked cleaner than mine, mines disgusting. Stupid rain P.S. Yes I am a woman last time I checked ← sorry that's just silly old me, but I was looking at your shiny intercooler and I didn't get to see you properly when I looked up. Also because I didn't realise that mrs 5INFUL was around as well
  11. thanks for the welcome unfortunately I've got to much on to even wash my own car and also somehow brake fluid has found its way onto my car (not from mine) and its left some spots of bare metal on my car. Going to have to find someone who can do a decent touchup. I'm down near Hillary's so yeah pretty much a local, just spending off some christmas vouchers from work (mainly booze) It looked like a women driving 5INFUL at the time but I could be wrong, I was looking at the car more
  12. Saw 5INFUL at karrinyup shops today, pulled in after I already had parked and funnily enough when I came back it was parked right next to me. Looked pretty nice, unfortunatley both of our cars looked like they needed a good wash
  13. If I wash it off though its just gonna keep taking the paint off, I suppose its unavoidable anyway I just hope that its not to expensive to repaint. cheers guys
  14. Hey guys, haven't posted on this site yet but its been great use I didn't know whether to post this in the exterior forums or here but here goes. Went for a bit of a drive to day up to a mates place, car was running smoothly nothing wrong at all. When I was about to leave my mates I noticed there was some dark green spots down the front right hand side of the car, from the bonnet seal to the top of the tyre. It looks to dark to be coolant but and theres no sign of any leaks at all under the bonnet, also the part that's got me really pissed off is that its actually eaten away at the paint. I tried to clean one of the little spots off and the paints just gone underneath. I had done the boost solenoid maintenace today as per mention in another thread but I made sure everything was alright afterwards and as I said before I can't see any sign of leaks anywhere else apart from the outside from the bonnet seal down The picture doesn't really do much Does anyone know what it could be?
