  1. That's cos there isn't one! (I can only assume he means the 1000) Sorry FPVPSI, but I'm afraid to tell you that there isn't a single (straight line) situation wherein your 350rwkw will compete, let alone win, against a litre bike.
  2. Only on youtube mate Can't see it here either dude? Anyway, the car made 585 last week. Putting in new gas jets shortly for another 25 in spray.
  3. Fail to see where KW was mentioned/written? Sorry. I'm a little lost here. The owner is one of our best mates, thus talking down the competition would be pointless. Thought I would just share with the community what else is on the roads and how well it goes. Fortunately the majority of comments are of interest and appreciation.
  4. Just uploaded a dyno run video of a mates car from a few weeks back. Has the highest spec Active Autowerke kit . . . . An absolute animal on the street! Always a good tustle between him and our ute gN01IP-JQ0o
  5. Let us know when you're next going out Paul. Our mate with the e46 m3 spun 457 hp on sat and is keen to line up off the street for once.
  6. *edit* And to steal a quote from DennisRB30 and one of his posts on PF, " 'super highflow' cat on 3" exhaust > $2000 4" exhaust with 4" $500 cat. " Lol
  7. It's always line ball. If you get caught, unlucky. If not, you're cheering. We got caught, but fortunately have a friend on the inside in case anything happens that needs to be pushed through.
  8. This may be true, but considering that the whole exhaust was only 600 smackers, I think the value for money is there. It's probably been discussed before, and I am no engineer, but with my understanding of fluid dynamics, a single 3 inch system will still out-perform the standard twin 2.25 item anyway. I say this because I would assume that in conjunction with the greater 'wall to volume ratio', the centrifugal forces created when joining/leaving the twin setup from muffler/cat etc would greatly inhibit the efficiency of the standard system. Which lets face it, was just pulled off the v8s and put on our cars without a second thought. Regardless of that, many friends of mine with jap cars that make pretty serious power tend to use 3 inch exhausts themselves without any dramas. In their, and my opinion, it's really only when you are looking to make 600+ rwhp that 4inch will be a necessity. These cars are fun to drive in. Who knows I WIN? I agree with you in that I believe a 3.5 inch would be ideal for the ute, but as I said at the start, a bargain was there, so it was taken. The fact of the matter is that we're very happy with the power, and making 300kw at 11lb through an auto is nothing to sneer at. Not that I think you are though mate. Cheers for the advice.
  9. The cooler/piping is from process west guys. What was put on last night was the body decals. It has completely transformed the car. *edit* Here's another dodgey camera phone pic from last night in the middle of the process.
  10. We spent a few hours on the car last night, here's how it emerged today.
  11. Thanks for the positive feedback. The difference from standard power to custom tune at 230kw was impressive, as was the change from that to a tune with injectors and exhaust at 260kw. Now with another 50kwatw, the fun level comes up again The idea was to stop here, but we all know about plans to cease modifications! Wastegate mods and fuel pump seem to the likely culprits. Time will only tell.
  12. I would just like to say that after installing this intercooler kit, and gutting the di filippo 3inch exhaust system cat, we picked up 51.5kw's at the wheels on the existing custom tune with previous mods. This was actually with a less aggressive tune with 3-4 degrees of timing taken out. I'd like to congratulate you Kevin on a fantastic product and wish you the best of luck with your company in the time to come.
  13. I am very happy to say that we achieved a 306.8kw reading today from our tune at Elite Automotive. Power mods are as follows: Process West intercooler and piping 3 inch dump-back di filippo exhaust system with 'super high flow' cat F6 Snorkle K&n filter Bosch Injectors Thanks must go out to Paul and the boys who have always been willing to help us out at the drop of a hat, regardless of the inquiry. *edit* Car in question is an Oct 06 Bf 6 Speed Auto Ute Attached are some charts from the tune today. <div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div>Now we just need to weather to clear up so that we can have some fun!!
  14. Well guys, I come back reporting that the issue was indeed due to the level of fuel in the tank being too low. Thanks must go out to Paul @ Elite Auto for insisting upon using his dyno to conclude the results of this 'experiment'. Customer service FTW! The car spat out a nice ~ 250km/h with a full tank of fuel. So as long as there's fuel in the tank, supercharged m3's should look out, hey Paul?
  15. Thanks for the tips guys. he fuel level at the time was rather low from memory, so next time we go back to the same private test track, the run will be completed with more fuel on board. It will also be a good opportunity to test the ute max 180km/h theory. With respect to the tuner, and him missing it, we have been in touch with him oday, and h himself is at a loss to the situation. Only guessing at the fuel tank levels himself. Thanks for the advice, will come back with more news later.
  16. Hy guys, I am just wondering if any of you have experienced a speed cut in their Bf t at 180 km/h? It feels very similar to the limp mode caused from over-revving, we're just at a loss as to why it's occuring? The car has the 6 speed auto if that's any help, and runs 265 rwkw. Thanks in advance.
  17. 10 psi mate, with 90% of that seen at 3000 rpm.
  18. Thanks for the tune today Paul, especially on such short notice. We're very impressed with the results. Not to mention the drivability. For those interested in our printout, perhaps for heat comparisons, here is out HP vs AFR sheet. (Mods are F6 CAI, K&N filter, 3 inch di filippo full exhaust and 968 injectors.) Once again paul, thanks to you and the crew for today. We look forward to using your services further in the future.
